1 LIVESTOCK ENTRIES 1. Livestock exhibiters notify the Secretary in order to have stalls and pens reserved. Depending on space available, the Secretary may decide how many head can be entered by each exhibitor. 2. Judges of cattle, sheep and hogs will consider symmetry, early maturity, size and general characteristics of the breeds to which the animals belong; they will make proper allowance for age, feeding and other circumstances affecting character and condition of the animal 3. Exhibitors of livestock must report to the Barn Superintendent a minimum of 1 hour before each day for orders. Entrants must confirm with the Superintendent of the division when their stock will be judged and be on hand to lead the animals into the show ring promptly. Any person failing to comply with this order will be disqualified. 4. All Animals must be shown in the name of the recorded owner as shown on the Registration Certificate; an exhibitor may show no more than two entries in any one lot. 5. Exhibitors must keep their stock, stalls and pens in good, neat condition and be open for inspection 9am to 9pm daily 6. Calves under two months old are ineligible for competition. 7. Animals on exhibition will be shown to the judges under the supervision of the respective Superintendent. 8. Registered stock animals over one year of age shall be accompanied by a certificate of registry, in the stud-book, herd-book or flock-book, recognized as being authentic for the breed the animal represents. 9. Purebred animals under one year of age are not required to show certificate of registry, but the exhibitor of the animal is required to give a certified statement that both the sire and the dam of the animal are properly registered purebreds. 10. No one under 18 years of age is permitted to show stallions. 11. All booths and livestock stalls must be cleaned at the end of the Fair before premiums will be paid. 12. No animals can be removed before Sunday 6pm on the last day of the fair without permission from the secretary..

2 HEALTH REQUIREMENTS 1. All animals must be examined by the official veterinarian on the day of they are admitted to the exhibition and at least once daily during the exhibition. All out-of-state animals must meet Minnesota IMPORT requirements. No animal may enter or be at a public exhibition that is showing clinical signs of any infectious, contagious or communicable disease. 2. All tests must be conducted prior to the exhibition and a record of the test results on a test chart must accompany the tested animals. 3. All live stock shown shall have a USDA approved identification tag, tattoo, leg band or wing band. If not tagged prior to entry, they must be individually identified prior to exhibition. 4. The Official Veterinarian will order the immediate removal to a quarantine facility or removal from the exhibition premises (with notification of the secretary) of any livestock with symptoms of infectious or communicable diseases. HORSES All horses exhibited must be accompanied by negative Coggins Test certificate or official health certificate indicating a negative Coggins Test within twelve months of entry to the fairgrounds. Papers must be presented at the time of registration and be present on the grounds for inspection. DOGS Dogs four months of age or older must be accompanied by a certificate of rabies vaccination issued by a licensed veterinarian. SHEEP/GOAT Sheep and Goats exhibited must bear an official ID which includes the flock scrapie eradication program number. This identification may be tags or tattoos but must be unique to each animal. Owners must provide their scrapie eradication program premise number at entry. No sheep or goat that is within 30 days of giving birth may be exhibited without prior approval from the Board of Animal Health. POULTRY Chickens, turkeys and game birds, except baby poultry, must be individually identified with a leg or wing band. Chickens, turkeys, game birds and hatching eggs from these birds must be accompanied by a certificate or test chart to show that they originate from a hatchery or breeding flock that is classified Pullorum-typhoid clean or are negative to a Pullorum-typhoid test within 90 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition. Turkey must be accompanied by certificate or test chart to show that they originate from a hatchery or breeding flock that is classified Mycoplasma gallisepticum clean and Mycoplasma synoviae clean or are negative to a Mycoplasma gallisepticum and a Mycoplasma synoviae test with 90 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition. Poultry origin must be listed on the official forms. SWINE Swine must be individually identified with an ear tag or tattoo.

3 DIVISION A DAIRY CATTLE Animals must be on Fairgrounds by 10:0 AM and will be released at 4:30 PM on the day of the show. Rules governing exhibitors all breeds to be judged separately. Exhibitors are allowed two entries in each lot.
