2 OCEAN NYMPH has been very well received since making the trip north to Warren Gavenlock Racing and is thriving in her new environment. The Ocean Park filly was educated in the city where she showed enough to win a trial at Kembla Grange before connections decided to part ways. With a change of scenery and some time horses get a chance to mature and settle into life as racing prospects. An astute eye saw this potential and moved the horse to Warren's team in hope of unlocking the talent that the OCEANNYMPH ALITTLEGEM HEADSNORTH pedigree promised. With a good spell and a clean slate Ocean Nymph was given the opportunity to find her feet and on the home surface put in a solid display on debut for the stable working home well over the 1012m. The talent was evident and he slowly prepared the filly to see her work up to the 1250m next start. You could see the confidence build and more importantly a gradual improvement to the fitness levels. The next 9 days would see the filly really step it up in her work and when she returned to Coffs Harbour it was game on. Raymond Spokes continued the association and after settling mid field she unleashed a long sustained run that allowed the experienced rider to navigate the shortest path and give her a chance to fight off the rivals. The grit and determination required came through and the horse held out the fast finishing stable mate to win impressively. Ocean Nymph has had a freshen up since winning and Warren has a very high opinion of the Ocean Park filly with "so much untapped potential".

3 THEWINNERSFORTHEAUTUMN Warren Gavenlock Racing has continuedn with positive UMBE R10FORresults throughout the Autumn knocking up win number 10 for the season. The milestone indicates growth and with 20 boxes filled and plenty gracing the spelling paddock the future looks bright. OCEAN NYMPH and EXCELEBRATION GOLD allowed the team to be provided with the famous celebratory Gavenlock breakfast and the connections where given a chance to see their patiently prepared horses show their full potential on race day. EXCELEBRATION GOLD is bred to cover plenty of ground and after being given a chance to get his racing experience will contest the Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes over 2200m at Doomben. He was last seen down the Coffs Harbour straight where as a maiden put away a smart field that consisted of Class 1 horses. Warren conceded that the gelding will be seen as being out of his depth but is confident that he isn't just making up the numbers. A bubble cheeker has been added to his gear and after a solid hit out with stable flyer Hard Merchandise is ready to take on some of the biggest training names in the country. Its an all star cast that has the NSW country flavour as Warren Gavenlock Racing attempts to compete at Group level and see just how good this son of Excelebration is moving forward. Gr3 Doomben Grand Prix Stakes $150k in prize money and an exemption from ballot see this race as one of the major lead ups to the Group 1 Queensland Derby saw the champion Kingston Town contest the same race to win and complete the Grand Prix/ QLD Derby double. EXCELEBRATION was seen as one of the modern era's greatest in Europe until the champion FRANKEL came along. He stands at Coolmore with his progeny scattered all over the globe.
