Race 4 SHANDELLE RUSSELL FUNDRAISER MAIDEN PLATE metres: Blingaling After being slow to begin was hampered by Boys Getaround Him, which shifted out after making contact with Three Points. Sassy Ann (NZ) Began awkwardly. Our Anna Difficult to load, delayed the start two minutes. Trainer was advised the mare must perform in a jump out prior to racing again. Race 5 JOHN DUFF & CO SHOWCASE 3YO 0-64 HANDICAP metres: A Saucy Snitzel Trainer P Moody advised the filly would go forward today. Raced in a handy position. Began awkwardly.

A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame on the right hind leg. Trainer R Smerdon was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance prior to Spareel racing again. Barcelona Bound Hung out rounding the home turn and upon straightening was eased off the heels of Rowdy Belle, which shifted out. Rowdy Belle Rider L Nolen was reprimanded for breaching the provisions of AR137(A)(5)(a)(i) in that he used his whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100 metres. Triple Tease Stewards questioned B Rawiller regarding his riding of the gelding. B Rawiller advised that he was instructed to ride the gelding with cover from the barrier and that shortly after the start he shifted to the inside of the field and when doing so then positioned at the rear of the field, rather than race wide in the worst going.
