Purse will be distributed as follows; 40%, 30%, 20%, 10% Classes 4,5,6,7. Short Stirrup Equitation, not to exceed 18 - Open to Junior riders 11 years of age and under. Trotting not penalized.

OCHFC Add Back Benefit Pleasure Class-The Class will be run as an Addback class. $25.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. Hudson Valley Horse Shows Scholarship This This scholarship is open to all HVHS candidates who have shown an interest and good sportsmanship in any aspect of the horse industry. A candidate may apply for this scholarship to help with any type of equine related activity that will educationally benefit the candidate. Candidate maybe nominated by another candidate. Check out more information and applications on our website Classes 8,9,10,11. Short Stirrup Hunter, not to exceed 18 - Open to Junior riders 11 years of age and under. Trotting not penalized. Long Stirrup Hunter, 18 Open to Junior and Amateur riders 12 years of age and over. Trotting not penalized. Classes 12,13,14. Lead Line Equitation, not to exceed Ground poles - Open Junior riders 9 years of age and under. Riders may not have competed off the lead or in any other class/division at any show. Leader and side walkers must be over the age of 14 and appropriately dressed. Class 15. Shinny Hinny 50/50 Payback Scholarship Class Judged in hand with halter and lead. Horses with be judged based on the best groomed. $25.00 per entry will be added to the prize purse. 50% of the prize purse goes to the winner of the class and the other 50% will be collected throughout the show year and add to the HVHS Scholarship fund. Classes 16,17,18,19. Children's Beginner Rider Equitation, not to exceed 18 Open to Junior riders 11 years of age & under who have not shown beyond cross rails. Trotting not penalized. Cantering in one at a time. Fences: Cross rails without fillers, under 18. Adult Beginner Rider Equitation, not to exceed 18 - Open to Junior & Amateur riders 12 years of age & over who have not shown beyond cross rails. Trotting not penalized. Cantering in one at a time. Fences: Cross rails without fillers, under 18. Classes 20,21,22,23. Mini Stirrup Equitation, not to exceed Ground poles - Open to Junior riders 10 yrs. of age & under. Riders may not have competed more than 1 time in a class requiring them to canter. Walk Trot Equitation, not to exceed Ground poles - Open to Junior & Amateur riders 11 years of age & over. Riders may not have competed more than 1 time in a class requiring them to canter.

High Hunter, not to exceed 3 - Open to any horse and rider. Classes 121,122,123,124. Children's Equitation, not to exceed 2, 2 6,3 for each section- Open to Junior riders. Fence height may be combined with Adult Equitation if entry's warrant. Each Height will run separately if entries warrant or may be combined. Adult Equitation, not to exceed 2,2 6,3 for each section- Open to Amateur riders. Fence height may be combined with Children's Equitation if entry warrant. Each Height will run separately if entries warrant or may be combined. Classes 125,126,127,128. Children's Hunter, not to exceed 2, 2 6, 3 for each section- Open to Junior riders. Fence Height may be combined with Adult Hunter if entry's warrant. Each Height will run separately if entries warrant or may be combined. Adult Hunter, not to exceed 2, 2 6, 3 for each section- Open to Amateur riders. Fence Height may be combined with Children's Hunter if entry warrant. Each Height will run separately if entries warrant or may be combined. Class 129 M&S Bit O Straw, not to exceed 2 6 runs with/class 127 Two-round classic with the option to do both rounds back-to-back. Fences 2 6. Riders must be juniors or amateurs. Horse or pony must have entered, shown and completed the course in two hunter or equitation classes over fences at the same show. Class 130 M&S Child/Adult Medal, not to exceed Open to Juniors and Amateurs. Class 131 M&S Children s Pony Medal, not to exceed 2,2 6 -Open to Juniors and Amateurs. Class 132 M&S Children s Hunter Classic, not to exceed 2,2 6 runs with/class 127-Riders must be amateurs. Two-round classic.
