RACE 1: Maiden Plate 1200m: American Love Slow to begin. Inclined to overrace in the middle stages. At Witz End Raced very wide in the early and middle stages. Follow Our Dream Slow to begin and eased when tightened between runners shortly after the start. Minni Minnah Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Mishani Weapon Bumped and unbalanced shortly after the start. Moringa s Hiemie Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Ran wide rounding the home turn. My Cousin Longy A post race veterinary examination of the mare, which was beaten 30.92L, revealed it to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer Mr S. Phelps was advised that the mare is required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next race

Hung out and ran wide rounding the home turn. Inclined to hang out down the straight and proved difficult to ride out with full vigour. Trainer Mr B. Witt was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings racing manners. Monsun Solider (FR) Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Eased when disappointed for a run over the concluding stages. Rossmay Inclined to overrace in the early stages. Bumped on two occasions passing the 200m. Rothford Eased out away from heels rounding the home turn. Spirit of Edyn Slow to begin. Overraced approaching and rounding the first turn. Rounding the home turn became held up on heels and was unable to be fully tested until near the 200m. Unable to be tested over the final 50m when held up on heels. Swoop When questioned regarding racing behind the leader when his mount has typically raced worse than midfield, jockey M. Paget stated he was instructed to race midfield with cover. M. Paget stated he rode his mount along in the early stages and when the runners to his inside showed no intent on going forward he continued forward rather than restrain to take a sit behind a moderate tempo. M. Paget stated that once he established a position on the rail he eased his mount so as to allow another runner to cross him and provide cover. The Big Eater Began awkwardly. Defence Witness Began awkwardly, resulting in its apprentice rider becoming unbalanced, and lost ground (~5L). Lucky Tom Blundered near the 1000m. Push the Sky Away Approaching and passing the 100m rider was obliged to desist from riding mare along when racing in restricted room inside Fasta Than Light which shifted in. Apprentice Ms M. Nakao (Fasta Than Light) was advised to exercise more care. Shelter Lady Unable to improve rounding the home turn when held up on heels. Race 4: 4YO+ Maiden Plate 1200m: Akage Inclined to overrace in the early and middle stages. Destiny s General Unable to improve rounding the home turn when held up on heels. Near the 250m was steadied after improving onto the heels of a weakening runner and was not tested until passing the 100m. Embrace the Date Steadied when tightened shortly after the start. Passing the 150m was obliged to ease in around heels to continue to improve. Field of Fire Inclined to overrace in the early stages. Last Light Inclined to pull in the middle stages. Wainui Gold (NZ) When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding apprentice K. Wilson-Taylor stated that he was instructed to lead the event uncontested however his mount was unable to muster sufficient speed to do so and settled outside the leader. K. Wilson-Taylor stated that his mount was under pressure rounding the home turn and was disappointing in its run to the line. Trainer Ms M. Brosnan advised that she believes the gelding races best when able to lead uncontested. Ms Brosnan added she believes the gelding had reached the end of its preparation and it will be spelled. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Race 5: Class 2 Handicap 1516m: I m a Jet Blundered on jumping.

4 4 Mishani El Lobo Raced wide in the early and middle stages. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Mishani Stealth Began awkwardly. Rounding the home turn became held up on heels and was unable to be tested in any capacity until approaching the 150m. Mystic Moon When questioned regarding his handling of the mare rounding the home turn and at the entrance to the straight, in particular how a run presented to his mounts inside for the favourite Almas to improve into and his apparent lack of vigour in the early stages of the straight, jockey R. Maloney stated that his mount laid out rounding the home turn and he did not appreciate it had shifted out a full horse. R. Maloney stated that on straightening his mount was travelling strongly and he did not feel it required to be put under full pressure at that point. R. Maloney stated at this point he allowed his mount to drift back over to the rail, not expecting that Almas had improved into what he thought was insufficient racing room. R. Maloney stated his mount then became unbalanced for a number of strides as it bumped its hindquarter on Almas for a number of strides. R. Maloney added that his mount was under full pressure from the 200m however failed to sprint as strongly as he anticipated. Stewards accepted R. Maloney s explanation however reminded him to ride his mount his mounts in a manner so as to not raise query. Race 6: Benchmark 82 Handicap 1200m: Blue Monte Overraced in the early stages. Dux Nutz Slow to begin. Lady Solerno Blundered on jumping. Steadied from heels near the 1000m. Trainer Mr R. Cameron reported in the following day that the mare was found to have a foot abscess in the off fore leg and would be treated accordingly. Manila Miss Slow to begin. River of Love Bumped and unbalanced shortly after straightening. Eased from heels shortly after. Sapper Tom Rounding the home turn became held up on heels and was obliged to shift out around heels shortly after straightening to obtain clear running. Smart As Attack When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding jockey R. Plumb stated that his mount felt awkward in its action in the early stages and passing the 1100m hurdled nothing in particular. R. Plumb stated that his mount commenced to hang out approaching the first turn at which time the bit pulled through its mouth. R. Plumb stated his mount continued to hang out throughout the remainder of the event and he had little control over it due to the position of the bit. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding, which was beaten 28.01L, did not reveal any abnormality.

Round Mountain Gem Raced wide in the early and middle stages. A post race veterinary examination of the mare did not reveal any abnormality. She Salutes Slow to begin. Race 8: Lismore Cup 2100m: The start of the event was delayed to allow a rain storm pass. Allzin Rounding the home turn became held up on heels and was unable to be tested until near the 150m. Future Event Laid out rounding the home turn. Hippopus (NZ) Buffeted between runners on jumping. Checked to avoid a fallen rider rounding the first turn.

6 6 Infinite Reign (NZ) Bumped on jumping. Rounding the home turn was steadied after improving onto heels. Passing the 300m was steadied and shifted in after improving onto heels. Latino Lover Rounding the first turn the gelding lost its footing, becoming very unbalanced and dislodging its rider C. Franklin. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. C. Franklin was attended by the clubs ambulance officers and cleared of any serious injury. Meteorologist Rounding the first turn was checked and shifted very wide on the track to avoid a fallen rider. Raced wide for the remainder of the event. Inclined to pull in the middle stages. Muraqaba Rounding the first turn was checked and shifted wide on the track to avoid a fallen rider. Ran wide rounding the home turn. Shockfactor (NZ) Bumped on jumping and steadied when tightened between runners shortly after. Rounding the first turn was checked and shifted very wide on the track to avoid a fallen rider. When questioned regarding the performance of the mare jockey M. McNab stated that his mount settled at the tail of the field and lost ground when avoiding a fallen rider rounding the first turn. M. McNab added that his mount failed to travel strongly for the remainder of the event and was reluctant to stretch out in the straight. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality other than a small laceration to the off fore leg. Winkler (NZ) Declared a late scratching by order of stewards, acting on veterinary advice, at 2.52pm after the gelding was found to have injured itself en route to the racecourse. Summary of whip use: Stewards noted the following riders exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m under AR137A(5)(a)(ii).
