All owners and exhibitors are responsible for knowing these rules. Judging assignments or arena schedules may be adjusted to accommodate entry numbers and weather conditions. NRCHA classes are conducted under rules and regulations of NRCHA. All exhibitors in NRCHA classes must be current members in good standing of NRCHA; memberships may be purchased at the show, if you are a current year member please send a copy of your membership with your horse s entry form. The Cowhorse Spectaculars are not NRCHA approved however they will be conducted under NRCHA rules including headgear requirements. ENTRIES CLOSE January 15, Please enter complete information for each HORSE and RIDER(S) on the enclosed registration form. A one-time POST ENTRY PENALTY of $25 per horse will be charged for entries received, or submitted via after January 15, Photocopies of AQHA papers, current AQHA Open, Amateur and/or Youth card must accompany entries. 5 CUTTING CLASS entries must be received by January 15, Entries received after that date will be charged a $25 cattle late fee, and may be placed at the bottom of the draw and subject to rerun cattle. Substitutions for horses already entered on 1/15/2019 will be accepted. STALLS will be available on Tuesday January 22, Reservations due January 15, Stall reservations received after January 15 will be made on a first-come, firstserved basis. Stalls in Barn A are 12x12 with mats and covered aisles for $165 for the run of the show. Stalls in Barns B-K are 10x10 with mats for $140 for the run of the show or $35 per night. BARN A IS RESERVED FOR SPONSORS ONLY. Blue Ribbon Sponsors ($1,000) are given priority for stall assignments, with preference given to sponsors from past years. Barn A stalls are not guaranteed. Stalls reserved but not used, will be billed to responsible party. All riders/handlers must have a current, individual AQHA, Amateur or AQHYA membership. NRCHA exhibitors are required to be current year members in good standing.show management must inspect the membership cards or photocopies prior to issuing entries. If an exhibitor cannot produce a current individual membership card, exhibitors will complete the appropriate application (AQHA or AQHYA) and pay the proper membership fee. An exhibitor MUST PRESENT A CURRENT CARD OR PURCHASE MEMBERSHIP before they can show. Amateur certifications CAN now be obtained at the show. Exhibitors in Novice Amateur and Novice Youth classes must have a card showing N in membership number. See AQHA rules SHW AWARDS First through sixth place. Grand and Reserve Mare, Gelding and Stallion to receive show ribbon. Halter Grand and All-around trophies available through AQHA. High Point Awards to be tabulated on a basis of nine or more in a class: 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1: eight in a class: 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 etc. Points accumulated throughout the show. TIE BREAKERS: 1) Greatest number of first places; 2) Tiebreaker judge. ALL AROUND AWARDS will be calculated like AQHA. One horse, one rider, one division. Halter points will count towards all-around awards, however halter is not required; horse must show in four classes under each judge in your division to be eligible for allaround and reserve. CIRCUIT AWARDS must show under all judges to be eligible. NOVICE CLASSES All AQHA classes that are listed as novice will be Level 1 classes under AQHA s new leveling system. Please make sure you are eligible by reviewing AQHA s website or contacting them with questions. AzQHA SANCTIONED SHOWS are assessed $1.00 per class entry to help fund yearend awards. This assessment is included in your entry fee. PERFORMANCE HALTER CLASSES require proof of AQHA Performance ROM. An exhibitor may not enter the corresponding halter class. STALLIONS may not be shown in Level 1 youth, youth or Level 1 amateur classes. SAQHA Show - January 23-27, 2019
6 SAQHA Show - January 23-27, Schedule of Fees SAQHA and its show management will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur. It will be a condition of entry that the exhibitor will hold SAQHA and its show management and personnel blameless for any loss or sickness to his horse(s) or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire, theft or otherwise. ANY CHECKS RETURNED to show management as insufficient funds will be assessed an additional $30 office charge. Be aware of AQHA rules VIO CLASS CALLS: Every effort is made to maintain a working PA system. However, the PA must be considered a courtesy. It is your responsibility to be at the gate for the classes you have entered. CLASS SEQUENCE AND LOCATION: Management reserves the right to adjust the sequence and location of classes. CLASS SCRATCHES: Scratches must be done in the show office or at the gate prior to the class. No shows will be charged for class. OFFICE HOURS: Office will be open one hour before the start of the show each day. HORSESHOE PARK RULES: Exhibitors are responsible for adhering to the rules of Horseshoe Park regarding the use of motor vehicles on the grounds, pets and alcohol. RV HOOKUPS are available at a cost of $25 per night for full or partial hookups. Call (480) to make reservations.
7 NRCHA Reined Cow Horse Shows - NRCHA/AzRCHA classes will run concurrently with the AQHA Cow Horse classes Cattle Fee charged once if riding in concurrent classes. Payout according to NRCHA schedule. Notes: Spectaculars are not NRCHA approved, but will follow NRCHA rules. No NRCHA fee applies. Exhibitors in the Spectaculars must show in both rounds of cutting and both days of cowhorse and use NRCHA age appropriate headgear. Select Non Pro must enter a main Non Pro class. 12 SAQHA Show - January 23-27, CLASS LIST **Exhibitors in the Spectaculars must use NRCHA age appropriate headgear. AWARDS VRH High Point Awards Awards given to Open, Amateur, Limited Amateur and Youth exhibitors on points earned over two days of shows. Fast Time Roping Bonus Money $100 to the Fast Time Amateur in each Open Roping class; $50 to the second fastest time.
13 CLASS LIST High Point awards High-point and Reserve awards in: open, amateur, select amateur (points taken from amateur class entries), youth and L1 youth and L1 amateur. Horses must show in 4 classes under each judge to be eligible. L1 open classes will not count towards all-around awards. Amateur, select and L1 awards are based on horse/rider combination. If fewer than 3 horses are competing for an award, an alternative award may be offered. Circuit awards offered for all classes.
