From the South traveling North on Interstate 5: Take the 134 Freeway West, Exit at Buena Vista (Exit #3), at end of off ramp, immediately turn RIGHT onto W. Riverside Dr. Follow Riverside Drive for approx 1 mile to Main Street and turn right into the Equestrian Facility. The corner of Main and Riverside Dr is the show ground entrance. ENTRY FEES Open Class Fee $48.00 per class Non-Pro Fee $48.00 per class Youth Fee $44.00 per class Blanket Fee unlimited classes one horse/any exhibitors $ (plus applicable fees per class) Youth Walk/Trot Blanket Fee unlimited W/T classes one horse/one rider combination $150 plus applicable fees. Includes one youth halter/hih category class. If horse goes in open or non-pro then respective class fees will be charged accordingly. Leadline Class is free not including breed point fees. Trail Equipment Fee - $10.00 per horse Jump Equipment Fee - $10.00 per horse **FEES ABOVE DO NOT INCLUDE RESPECTIVE BREED POINT KEEPING FEES. SEE ENTRY FORM WITHIN PREMIUM TO ACCOUNT FOR ApHC or PtHA FEES** ***EQUINE VACCINATION & *** HEALTH REQUIREMENTS All horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the show grounds. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the show grounds. CITY OPTIONS FOR NEARBY HOTELS: Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, Universal City DIRECTIONS TO EQUESTRIAN CENTER: 480 Riverside Drive, Burbank, CA From the North traveling South on Interstate 5: Exit at Alameda Ave, at the end of the exit turn LEFT onto Alameda heading southwest, travel to Main Street, Turn RIGHT and straight into the Equestrian Center. STALLING INFORMATION: Friday Aug 17 after 12:00 noon through Monday Aug 20 before 10:00 a.m. $80 Tack Room $80 Exhibitors will be charged an early arrival fee if arrive prior to 12:00 noon on Thursday or Friday. Exhibitors arriving on Friday are encouraged to arrive after 12:00 noon to not incur an early arrival fee of $20. If exhibitor leaves before 10:00 am on Monday, no layover fee will be charged. If exhibitor desires to arrive on Thursday, August 16, arrive after 12:00 noon to avoid 2 days of early arrival charges at $20 per day. Please call Toni Dean at cell (760) to reserve your stalls.
2 EARLY ARRIVAL OR AFTER SHOW LAYOVER If you need to arrive earlier than Thursday, August 16th please call Toni to arrange early arrival at a rate of $20.00 per day. This is also the fee if you layover and leave after 10:00 am on Monday, August 20th. SHAVINGS & FEED INFORMATION: LAEC allows only the use of wood shavings in the stalls. Individual exhibitors may bring their own shavings and horse feed. U.S. Horse Feed & Shavings is the exclusive horse bedding supplier and all horse bedding & feed sales must be coordinated with them directly. Exhibitor may call and pre-pay for shavings & feed to be delivered to the respective stalls. Call: (818) Shavings and Feed will NOT be charged through the show office. HAUL IN FEES - $15.00 per day Exhibitors hauling in with living quarter like trailers on either show day must park in designated haul in trailer parking to avoid potential charges. RV HOOKUPS: Please call Toni at (760) to arrange for RV reservation. RV spaces available at $45.00 per day for the show. Includes hook ups of water and electricity. 3 Membership: All persons competing in this ApHC/PtHA sponsored event who desire to accumulate points in the respective breed organization must be a current 2018 member the ApHC/PtHA and persons competing shall be defined to include owners and exhibitors. Youth/Non-Pro/Amateur: AllYouth/Non-Pros/Amateurs competing in Youth/Non Pro/Amateur Classes wishing to receive ApHC/PtHA points must be aware of horse ownership rules based on their breed ApHC/PtHA. Non-Pro/Amateur Walk/Trot Program: No cross entry into three gaited classes at this show. The Non-Pro/Amateur may not show another horse in other Non-Pro/Amateur classes if a non-owned horse is shown in Walk-Trot. See complete rules in the 2018 ApHC Handbook. Verification of Records: Show Management must inspect all ApHC/PtHA certificates of registration on the horses being shown in approved classes for which points are being tabulated for respective breed. Entries are to be made in the name of the current recorded owner or owners as indicated by records on the certificate of registration presented. Verbal statements of transfer or photocopies of transfers will not be accepted ApHC/PtHA membership cards or photocopies must be presented for each owner and exhibitor. If your card(s) is not available, the appropriate party(ies) must pay their membership fees prior to showing. If you are showing another person s horse, the Show Management must see a copy of the ApHC/PtHA card for yourself and the owner. NO 2018 Membership Card, Dues must be paid at the show!!! Breed Points: All breeds, Appaloosas and Pintos to show in the class at the same time and separate breed results will be submitted to the respective breed organization. Some classes may not be approved for points by the respective breed organization and please review the designations listed below. However, exhibitors are encouraged to show in all classes desired whether pointed or not. PtHA Approval: Not all Classes are PtHA approved and those not approved are noted by ^^. Amateur PtHA exhibitors who desire to accumulate breed points are advised to show in the NP/Amateur classes. Youth Walk/Trot Ages: All Breed & PtHA = 11 & Under and ApHC = 10 & Under and All Breed and PtHA Walk/Trot Youth 11 Year Olds as of January 1, 2018 may not cross enter into the W/T classes. Other Notes Continued: If your horse is dual registered ApHC & PtHA owner/exhibitor must pick one breed to show as. Horse will NOT be awarded points for both breed organizations. Must designate All Breed, ApHC or PtHA upon entry submission prior to the start of the show. NEW: In Non-Pro individual working classes (i.e., showmanship, horsemanship, etc.) an exhibitor may show both an appaloosa and pinto (more than one horse) for breed points only. The Non-Pro exhibitor will need to declare the one horse, one rider combination for the show high point award(s) on the entry form prior to the start of the show. All Youth 18 & Under MUST wear protective helmets in games and jumping classes. Class Sponsorships: Consider advertising any event, achievement or need by sponsoring a class for $10.00 each. Your name and information will be announced with the class if provided the day before the show. Sponsorship can be paid for at the show with entry fees. A fun way to say Thank you or surprise someone! Class Sponsorships can be fun and easy. Contact Leslie Foxvog at or at the show if you are interested. We accept sponsorship pledges in advance. Non Pro/Amateur Ages: NP/Amateur = 19 & Over NP/Amateur 35 & Over NP/Amateur Masters = 50 & Over PtHA approves three amateur age groups which do not align the same as Appaloosa. PtHA exhibitors are advised to ride in the Amateur 19 & Over division for breed points. However, PtHA exhibitors may ride in the other NP/Amateur classes for show high points.
