3 SUMMER SPECTACULAR RULES & INFORMATION 1. All bedding must be purchased at the show. 2. Due to limited number of stalls, prepayment will reserve your stall. Pre-paid stalls are not refundable within 10 days of the show. Do not send prepayment after March 4, Exhibitors may cross enter between walk-trot and walk-trot-canter classes. 4. Show clothes are not required, but appropriate attire in good taste is required. 5. Training equipment is allowed. Placing horses using training equipment is at the judge s discretion. 6. Horses and equipment may arrive on the grounds at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16. Stall assignments will be posted on no later than March All equipment and horses must be removed from Ellsworth Equestrian Center by 11:00pm on Sunday, March Ellsworth Equestrian Center is located at 709 Ellsworth Avenue in Iowa Falls, Iowa. From Highway 20, take exit 168 to Highway 65 North. Travel North on Highway 65 for 3 miles. Facility is on the left. 9. Camping is available at EEC for $24 per night. There are 24 electric hook ups. 10.The host hotels for the show and their contact information are listed below. 8 Classic Type classes Saddle Type classes Stock Type classes Colorbreed classes Non-Colorbreed classes Mounted Native Costume Pleasure classes Versatility class SHOW TERMINOLOGY Horses will be presented and judged as Arabians or Half-Arabians. Horses will be presented and judged as gaited breeds such as Saddlebreds, Tennessee Walkers, or Morgans. Horses will be presented and judged as stock breeds such as Paints or Quarter Horses. Open to horses of color such as Palominos, Buckskins, and Pintos. Open to horses not eligible for the Colorbreed classes. Open to Arabians and Half-Arabians. Perform at walk, canter, and hand gallop. Native Costume attire is required. Horses will show at walk, jog/trot, and lope/canter. Hand gallop may be called in Hunter Pleasure classes. Horses will perform under saddle as walk, trot/jog, and canter/lope in each direction. Following the performance portion, horses will untack and show at halter. Liberty Horses will perform at liberty to music without a halter for 2 minutes. Following the 2 minute time period, the music will stop and the handlers will have an additional 2 minutes to catch the horse. Failure to do so results in disqualification. Horse is expected to perform at all gaits and use the full arena. Novice Class Horse/Rider (listed in class description) has not won more than 3 classes in that discipline. Junior Horse St. Patty s JACKPOT Horses that are age 5 or under. Horses perform and walk, jog or trot, and canter or lope in each direction. May show in western, hunter, or saddle seat equipment.

9 STALLING, BEDDING, & CAMPING REQUEST Due to the limited number of stalls, pre-payment will be due with your requests for stalls. The first two bags of bedding are included in the stall price. Additional bags of bedding may be purchased ahead of time or anytime at the show. Stall fees are non-refundable. Show management reserves the right to limit the number of tack stalls issued to one tack stall per 4 horse stalls if stall space becomes limited. You will be notified about your reservations if this is the case. All stalls and camping spaces are first come, first served when reserved with a check. We will accept open check if you prefer your show tab to paid in one check following the show. All checks will be deposited after the show.
