3 Entry Fees Pairs Class 1 Other classes pair ( 20 for OBH Chilterns members) 12 ( 10 for OBH Chilterns members) ( 18 for OBH Chilterns members) All tetrathlon entries include these hunter trials, please enter via your tet manager or DC. All individual entries will be subject to an additional fee of 5 for Paramedics. Please bring your own XC bibs a paper number to insert will be provided. Awards: An un-mounted presentation will be held for each class as soon as the results are available. Prize winners must present themselves in correct riding dress to receive their awards. Trophies: There are various trophies for the winners of most of the classes, and to the highest placed OBH Chilterns member (if in the first six). Rosettes: 1st to 6 th place in all classes and to all clear rounds in Class 1 and Pairs classes. Horseware Qualifier: This Hunter Trial is a Horseware Qualifier for the Horseware National Final which will be held on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October 2017 at Eland Lodge in Derbyshire. Qualifying classes are Class 3 Qualifier 70cm class Class 4 Qualifier 80cm pairs class Class 5 Qualifier 80cm individual class Class 6 Qualifier 90cm class Class 7 Qualifier 1m class. In order to qualify riders need to be placed 1st to 3rd in their class having obtained a clear round. For 2017 Horseware have joined with Retraining of Racehorses, to offer additional prizes for ROR registered horses at the finals (in 80cm and 1.00m classes). If you are riding a ROR eligible horse at the qualifiers and if you come in the top 3 and qualify for the final, you will also receive a special rosette. Please provide your RoR registration number when entering. Times: Riding times can be obtained from Friday 7 th April 2017 on our website: Course Walk: The course may be walked on Saturday 8 th April between 2pm and 6pm. Please note the gates will be locked at 6pm Refreshments, Paramedic Services and Photographers on course all day.

4 Rules and Conditions of Entry 1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. 3. All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Old Berkeley Hunt Chilterns Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you. 4. The competition will be run under Pony Club Rules. 5. Run under 2017 Tetrathlon rules except where varied by this schedule. 6. The decision of the judges and stewards is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition, or to refuse any entry without stating a reason. 7. Objections must be made in writing and handed to the Secretary within 30 minutes of the incident, with a fee of 10, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 8. Age is taken as at 1 st January No horse or pony under 5 years may compete. 10. No horse or pony may compete more than twice during the day. In the event of any horse or pony competing twice in any one class only the first round will be eligible for the Hunter Trials (both rounds are eligible for tetrathlon). 11. It is regretted that entry fees can only be refunded after the closing date upon production of a Medical or Veterinary Certificate. In the event of cancellation the entry fees, less the retention of 5 to cover costs will be returned on receipt of a stamped self addressed envelope. 12. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone present. HATS must comply with this year s regulation for Pony Club Tetrathlon and Hunter Trial competitions and be tagged. Visit to see the full list of approved hat standards. Fixed peak hats must not be worn. 14. It is compulsory to wear body protectors and medical armbands during the riding phase. They must meet BETA 2009 Level 3 standard (purple label). Riders who choose to use the Woof Wear Body Cage EXO must lodge a key with the Event Organiser when they collect their number. Air jackets must not be worn under a jacket and number bibs should be fitted loosely or with elasticated fastenings over the air jacket. 15. Pony Club members must have written permission from their DC to wear spurs. 16. The use of stopwatches is forbidden. 17. Dogs must be kept on short leads AT ALL TIMES.
