DADDYS LIL DARLING was unhurried early while off the rail, shifted into the four path entering the lane, rallied in the stretch but did not have enough in the final stages. SOMEDAY SOON came out at the start, set the pace early from off the rail, shifted into the three path entering the lane, came out and bumped SAILOR'S VALENTINE in the upper stretch, gave in and yielded in the final stages. TAPPED stalked the pace early along the four path, fanned into the five path in the far turn and flattened out late in the stretch run. SUMMER LUCK trailed the field early on from the six path, went into the five path entering the lane with a belated gain in the stretch drive. PRETTY CITY DANCER bobbled and was bumped at the start, checked repeatedly in the first turn, fanned intothe six path in the far turn and faded down the lane. MEANIE IRENIE hit the gate at the start, steadied into the first turn, eased in the stretch and was walked off after the race. ELATE came out at the start, pulled up in the stretch and was vanned off. RACHEL'S VALENTINA tracked the pace three deep, ratcheted up the pressure on the second turn, kept on betweenhorses into the stretch, then along the inside thereafter, fought valiantly but was turned away in the final yards. CATHRYN SOPHIA attended the pace along theinside, tipped out and mounted a bold bid four wide, gained a narrow lead entering the stretch, but was unable to shake the determined RACHEL'S VALENTINA and wilted under fire between rivals. CARINA MIA opened clear to set the pace, was collared on the second turn, contested the issue to the final furlong, relinquished the lead and drifted out as she faded.
