Rail: True STEWARDS: C. G. Polglase (Chairman), T. A. McDonald & J. Whybrow. RACE 1: Goulburn Produce Class 1 Handicap 1200m: Bridyn May Lay out under pressure in the home straight and proved difficult to ride out to the line. Apprentice Q Yong was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out fully to the end of the race. Noble Boy Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Damit On jumping was bumped by Dixie which shifted in. Foxie La Belle Slow to begin. Royal Casino When questioned rider B El-Issa stated he was under specific instructions today to ride his mount conservatively with cover as it had performed well when ridden in this fashion at its two most recent starts. He stated whilst his mount began particularly well, he steadied his mount early in order to comply with his instructions, however his mount then dropped the bit and had to be pressured to maintain its position. He added his mount was disappointing in that is was beaten from the 200m and responded only fairly in the run to the line. RACE 2: Douglass Blinds and Security Screens F&M Maiden Plate 1300m: Qadira Trainer Ms G Englebrecht was fined $50 for the late declaration of K Latham as the rider of the filly (LR35). Slow to begin (2L) and then failed to muster early speed. Rider K Latham reported that in his opinion, his mount did not appreciate today s firm track conditions. Rosadiblu Near the 1000m was eased off the heels of Princess Tabitha. When questioned rider A Layt stated his mount travelled well and whilst it responded briefly on straightening, was disappointing in its failure to finish off its race over the final 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be slow to recover. Kitty Karine Overraced with its head up when obliged to race wide in the middle stages. Musume Began awkwardly. Lay in under pressure in the straight and brushed the rail on a number of occasions. App P Scorse accidentally dropped his whip passing the 200m.

2 2 Fresh Hope Bumped on jumping by Musume which shifted in. When questioned rider K Nisbet stated her mount never travelled well at any stage and was disappointing in its failure to respond on straightening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer R Quinton represented by M Windneat was fined $100 for presenting and racing Fresh Hope without blinkers which were part of that filly s approved gear (AR140B). Ausbred Nacre App Q Yong accidentally dropped his whip passing the 200m. Tocokoe Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight before shifting across the heels of Bardor to continue into clear running. RACE 3: Semco Equipment Benchmark 58 Handicap 1300m: This race was delayed slightly due to the Ambulance officers attending to an injured patron on course. Ready Set Sing Trainer M De Montfort was fined $100 for presenting and racing Ready Set Sing in Bar Plates (front) (AR140B). The Mist Slow to begin. When questioned R Murray stated that her mount which was resuming today never travelled well at any stage of the event and failed to quicken from the 600m. She added whilst her mount performs best over longer trips, she recommended to connections that they step the gelding up sharply in distance next start as it never travelled during today s 1300m event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stable representative C Ashby advised whilst the horse performs best over longer journey s it was nonetheless disappointing in that it failed to finish its race off over the concluding stages. Mr Ashby advised the gelding had pleased the stable in two recent trials and there were no issues leading into today s event. Mr Ashby concurred with the thoughts of R Murray that the gelding would now be suited stepping up sharply in distance as it had not travelled at any stage given the pace of today s event. Hollywood Rose Trainer Ms G Englebrecht was fined $50 for failing to present the Thoroughbred Identity Card for the mare when requested (AR59A). Began awkwardly. Overraced in the middle stages and got its head up passing the 1000m. RACE 4: Goulburn Cup 25/11/18 CG&E Maiden Plate 1300m: Chouxtorial The gelding got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover passing the 1000m. Bling Alert Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Ladies Gem Lay in under pressure in the straight. Hamish the Swift Lay in under pressure in the straight. American Enemy Was crowded on jumping between Hamish the Swift and Scalper Tim, both of which shifted ground. Lay in throughout the event and raced keenly in the middle stages.

3 3 Scalper Tim A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have injured its off fore tendon and to be lame in that leg (4/5). Trainer J Steinmetz was advised that a full veterinary clearance is required prior to the gelding then barrier trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards. Borromeo Slow to begin. Lay in throughout the event and proved difficult to ride out to the line. RACE 5: David Alt Electrical Benchmark 58 Handicap 1600m: Going Purple As R Brewer was unable to make the weight, Stewards permitted K Latham to be substituted as the rider of the gelding. R Brewer was subsequently fined $200 (AR120(b)). Xaarfoxylady The mare which became fractious in the tie up stalls underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was passed suitable to race. Began very awkwardly, got its head up and lost ground. Keep Me Posted Raced wide throughout. Elle A Walking Hung out making the home turn. Saarim Lay out under pressure in the straight and proved difficult to ride out. Halberd Lay out in the early part of the straight. Vee Eight Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages. RACE 6: S&K Wilson Plumbing Benchmark 58 Handicap 1000m: Time of Her Life M Travers was permitted to ride the mare 1/2kg over at 54.5kg in accordance with the overweight policy. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Tapavino Raced wide throughout. Original Prankster Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which weakened over the concluding stages after racing wide throughout revealed no abnormalities. Halliday Road Began awkwardly. Fleeting Princess Held up until approaching the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. RACE 7: Goulburn Mulwaree Council Maiden Handicap 1600m: Time to Rethink On straightening was eased off the heels of Confident Lad (R Brewer) which shifted out when not clear. R Brewer was reprimanded (AR137(a)). One Chance Fancy Raced wide throughout.

4 4 Caprice Overraced badly in the middle stages and was checked off the heels of Rotoiti near the 1300m. Making the home turn became awkward on the heels of Rotoiti. Confident Lad Near the 200m was bumped by Street Poll which shifted out to improve. Street Poll Had difficulty obtaining clear running until approaching the 200m then raced in restricted room briefly passing the 100m between Kaffka and Confident Lad. A Robinson pleaded guilty to charge under AR137A(5)(a)(ii) in that he applied the whip on 12 occasions prior to the 100m, 7 more than permitted. A Robinson s license to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Monday 12 th November 2018 and to expire on Saturday 17 th November 2018 on which day he may ride. Crete Began awkwardly then ran in towards the rail and lost ground. When the pace steadied passing the 1000m, commenced to overrace and was checked off the heels of Street Poll. Lay in under pressure in the straight. When questioned B El-Issa stated his mount never travelled well at any stage of the event and was disappointing in that it was beaten shortly after straightening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. GENERAL: Summary of whip use: Stewards noted the following riders exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m under AR137A(5)(a)(ii). Bearing in mind the totality of whip use, no action was taken.
