(alm) Supplementary Reports: ROSEHILL GARDENS: Saturday, 4 July 2015 RACE 1 McGrath Estate Agents Handicap 1200m: Labdien stable representative Mr L Prior advised that Labdien pulled up well with no abnormalities. He added that it is the stable's intention to barrier trial the horse before its next race start. RACE 4 TAB Rewards Handicap 1500m: Disgraceful stable representative Mr L Prior advised that Disgraceful had now been spelled. RACE 7 TAB.com.au Handicap 1100m: Mount Nebo trainer Mr A Denham reported that Mount Nebo had pulled up well and it was his intention to continue on with its preparation. RACE 8 Cellarbrations Handicap 1500m: Eisenhower stable representative Mr M Newnham advised that Eisenhower had pulled up well, however would now be sent for a short spell. KEMBLA GRANGE: Monday, 6 July 2015 RACE 2 Mullet Creek Benchmark 65 Handicap 1600m: Sweet Jaffa trainer Mr N Olive reported that the mare pulled up well. He added that in his opinion, the track was too firm for the mare and it was his intention to continue with the preparation and to find softer ground. Any Time Baby trainer Ms C Grieg reported that the mare had pulled up well and it was her intention to give the mare a freshen up and continue with its preparation. RACE 1 Schweppes Plate 1100m Caesar Augustus was crowded on jumping when Funloving shifted in. Caesar Augustus was briefly held up making the home turn.

2 Ever So Natural rider B Shinn explained that he had been instructed to ride the gelding forward today. Trainer Mr C Bashford confirmed the nature of the instructions and subsequently pleaded guilty to a charge under AR135A in that he failed to inform Stewards that Ever So Natural would be ridden further forward as opposed to the way the gelding had been ridden at its most recent starts. After considering Mr Bashford's excellent record, the Stewards imposed a penalty of $300. Ever So Natural laid out under pressure in the straight. Tomiko near the 600m, became unbalanced when crowded between Paragon and Tilly's Waltz. RACE 2 All Too Vinery Handicap 1200m Satirical Dame jumped awkwardly, shifted out and lost ground. Espelette was slow to begin. Espelette, on straightening, shifted out and made contact with Satirical Dame, which was improving into a narrow run between Satirical Dame and Hanika, which shifted out. Sniff It Out was crowded on jumping between Dylan's Deeva and Hanika, which shifted out. Fabulosity was crowded at the start between Laucala, which was taken in by Aurora Glow, and Highdini, which jumped awkwardly and shifted out. Highdini was hampered at the start. Echo Queen near the 700m, when being restrained from the heels of Navua Miss, shifted out resulting in Aurora Glow being taken wide. Rider H Bowman stated that he had to make some use of the filly in the early stages to cross and take up a position one out on the back of Navua Miss. He added that when Navua Miss then eased in front, his mount commenced to race keenly, which resulted in the filly shifting off and then being obliged to race three deep for the remainder of the event. H Bowman added that as a consequence, Echo Queen failed to finish its race off. A post race veterinary examination revealed a poor post race recovery. Stable representative Mr L Prior agreed with the views of H Bowman and undertook to report back. Dylan's Deeva near the 600m was steadied from the heels of Echo Queen. Navua Miss App R Hutchings stated that his instructions were to lead and after attaining a position in advance of Helford River, he then elected to allow Satirical Dame to cross his mount when that runner went forward quickly. App Hutchings added that after obtaining cover on the back of Satirical Dame, his mount travelled well, but was most disappointing in his failure to finish the race off. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stable representative Mr L Prior expressed his disappointment with the performance and undertook to report back. RACE 3 TAB Rewards Handicap 1200m Ready Above trainer Mr J Pride was fined the sum of $300 for failing to declare B Avdulla as the rider of Ready Above by the prescribed time [LR35(2)]. When questioned in respect to the gelding settling further back in the field, B Avdulla stated that at the gelding's first race start from a favourable draw, it settled in behind the leaders but failed to finish the race off. He added that after beginning fairly, when runners to his inside jumped well, he elected to take hold of his mount in order to race closer to the rail and as a consequence, settled further back than what he had been instructed. Trainer Mr J Pride confirmed that the

3 intention was to have the horse ridden further forward than where Ready Above settled today. Joyful Passion change of tactics to be ridden more forward; settled outside the leader. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Water Diviner rider T Angland stated that the colt was able to obtain a comfortable lead in the early stages, but as soon as placed under pressure on straightening, did not respond to his riding and gave ground quickly. He added that on pulling up, the colt was coughing and making an abnormal respiratory noise. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be displaying cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer Mr J Sargent was advised that a veterinary clearance, including the results of a satisfactory ECG and endoscopic examination, must be submitted prior to Water Diviner barrier trialling to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Southern Legend was held up for clear running in the early part of the straight when positioned close to the heels of Quantrill. Near the 100m, Southern Legend shifted to the inside of Quantrill to obtain clear running and made contact with Joyful Passion. Bagua throughout the middle stages overraced and for some distance near the 500m, became unbalanced and was restrained to avoid the heels of Wilker. RACE 4 Ruben Guthrie In Cinemas July 16 Handicap 1580m Campanology change of tactics to be ridden more forward; settled handy. Campanology was briefly held up making the home turn. Razzle Dazzle Rock change of tactics to be ridden more forward; led. Razzle Dazzle Rock was crowded on jumping when Della's Diamond was taken in by Just As Cosmic. Della's Diamond was crowded at the start. Richard The First shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by Razzle Dazzle Rock. Sensualism a post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Stable representative Mr L Prior was advised that Sensualism will now incur the mandatory three month ban from racing. Silvovitz near the 400m, was hampered when crowded between Failed Approach and Sensualism (B Shinn), which shifted out. B Shinn was advised to exercise more care. Just As Cosmic making the home turn, steadied to avoid the heels of Richard The First when that runner shifted out to improve around the heels of Olympic Academy. Olympic Academy App K Jennings pleaded guilty to a charge under AR137A(4)(e) in that he struck his horse with the whip after passing the winning post. App Jennings was fined the sum of $200. RACE 5 TAB.com.au Handicap 1200m Burnt Bridges change of tactics to be ridden more forward; settled handy. Burnt Bridges, leaving the 500m, commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid the heels of Mystery Flight. Burnt Bridges was then held up making the home turn. Cramant shortly after the start, struck the heels of Loceano, blundered badly, almost dislodging its rider T Huet. T Huet stated that after receiving interference at the start, his

4 mount was inclined to lay in throughout the race and he was not happy with its action. For this reason, he did not fully test it in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stable representative Mr S Perry was asked to furnish a veterinary clearance prior to the horse being permitted to race again. Mystery Flight jumped awkwardly and shifted out resulting in Chasing Charlie, Burnt Bridges and Loceano being crowded. Trainer Mr B Farrow reported that the filly lost its off fore plate during the running of the event. Ready Set Sing shortly after the start was steadied to avoid the heels of Cramant, which shifted out. Thud when questioned regarding the filly being ridden outside the lead today, rider K McEvoy stated that his instructions were to endeavour to find cover in a midfield position. He added that when Thud commenced well, rather than restrain, he waited for Bully Bully and Fireball to go forward and cross his mount, however when this did not eventuate, he was obliged to allow Thud to stride forward and take up a position outside the lead. Co-trainer Mr P Snowden confirmed the instructions and advised it was the intention to ride the filly with cover today. Ziggy Willie was held up for clear running in the early part of the straight. Bully Bully when questioned with respect to the performance, B Avdulla stated that his mount was caught three wide without cover in the early stages and making the home turn was forced to cover additional ground when Burnt Bridges shifted out resulting in Loceano taking his mount wider. He added that with the step up in grade today, Bully Bully was unable to finish the race off and when beaten near the 200m, he eased his mount down. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. RACE 6 Bledisloe Cup Festival Handicap 1200m Latin Salsa was hampered at the start when crowded between Tennessee Hussy and Catseye Surprise. Latin Salsa overraced in the early stages. Catseye Surprise shortly after the start, became unbalanced when firstly making contact with Latin Salsa and shortly after, shifting out and bumping with I Am Zelady. Gold Epona was slow to begin. I Am Zelady shortly after the start, became unbalanced when bumped by Catseye Surprise. Tennessee Hussy was steadied off the heels near the 800m when crowded for room by I Am Zelady (H Bowman) which shifted in when not clear. H Bowman was reprimanded under AR137(a). Amazon for a short distance near the 250m, was held up on the heels of Absolute Empress. The Look near the 50m, was directed to the outside of I Am Zelady to find clear running and then over the concluding stages, could not be fully tested when placed close to the heels of Tennessee Hussy. Absolute Empress App K Jennings and trainer R Quinton advised that in their opinion, the filly, which was racing first up today, did not appreciate the soft track conditions. A post race veterinary examination revealed a poor post race recovery.

5 RACE 7 TAB Place Multi Handicap 1900m Defrost My Heart change of tactics to be ridden more forward; settled midfield. Defrost My Heart jumped awkwardly. Rider H Bowman stated that in a genuinely run event, the mare travelled well, however when asked to improve from the 600m around Wine N Dine, Defrost My Heart did not respond to his riding and was most disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stable representative Mr L Prior could offer no excuse for the disappointing performance and undertook to report back on the future race plans of the gelding. Bubbles N Boats rider T Angland attributed the disappointing performance to the fact that the mare was unable to obtain the lead. Stable representative L Prior concurred with T Angland's explanation for the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr Prior undertook to report back on the progress of Bubbles N Boats subsequent to the race. Shelley's Girl jumped awkwardly. Near the 1100m, Shelley s Girl was hampered when being steadied to avoid the heels of Wine N Dine, which ran out. A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which raced wide without cover throughout, revealed an abrasion to its near hind bumper. Banksters Bonus K McEvoy, rider of fifth placegetter Banksters Bonus (beaten a long head for fourth) pleaded guilty to a charge under 137(b) in that he failed to ride the gelding out to the end of the race. After giving consideration with respect to penalty, which included the gravity of the offence and the fact that his action, in the opinion of the Stewards, affected the first four betting and prize money obtained by the connections, K McEvoy was fined the sum of $800. A post race veterinary examination revealed Banksters Bonus to be coughing. Trainer Mr J Sargent advised that the horse would now be spelled. Race 6: Latin Salsa, Rumeron, Tennessee Hussy. Race 7: Banksters Bonus, Quartermaster, Wine N Dine, Shelley s Girl, Ashkand.
