2 ENTRIES: There will be a post entry fee of $5 per class if entered after the marked entry closing date! Class fees are $ 20, $500 Hunter Derby class fee is $50.00 with a minimum entry of 8 horses to be eligible for prize money. $250 Mini Hunter Derby (Non-NTHJC recognized) entry fee is $30 with a minimum of 8 entries to be eligible for prize money. No numbers will be issued without an open check or signed rider liability release form Liability Release form can be found on our website ValhallaEquestrianLLC.com/events. Current coggins must be presented to the horse show office for all horses on the grounds. Please note barn affiliation on entry form and check. FEES & REFUNDS: Office Fee $5, NTHJC Scholarship $5 & EMT Fee $10 will be charged for every horse rider combination. An EMT will be on the grounds during posted show times. Once the show has started, proper notification of a scratch must be made in the show office BEFORE the start of the class, or else the class fee may be charged. Non-members will be charged a NTHJC non-member fee of $20 per show. NTHJC memberships can be paid at the show or online at Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee. A $15 service fee may be applied to open checks not closed by the conclusion of the show. STABLING: Stall fee $75. Move-in starting on Friday May 11 at 12PM. Shavings $10.00 per bag (minimum of 3 bags). Stall reservations must be made in advance. Stalls will be available noon Friday thru Sunday. No outside shavings allowed. ARENAS & FOOTING: Indoor Arena - 150x250. Outdoor Arena - 150x250. Sand footing. DOGS: All dogs on the property must be held on a leash or confined. NTHJC Thoroughbred High Point Hunter & Jumper: Entry is free. TB registered name or tattoo # is required. Entry forms available in show office. An entry form must be filled out at each NTHJC show. Year End Points will accrue and be awarded at the NTHJC Year End Banquet. COGGINS: No entry will be accepted without copy of a negative coggins (EIA) within one year, which may be ed with entries or presented to the show office upon arrival. RULES AND REGULATIONS: ATTIRE: Proper show attire is required. Polos shirts with a collar may be worn in jumper classes. No chaps allowed. Properly fastened protective headgear must be worn at all times by all riders when mounted anywhere on the show grounds. All headgear must meet or exceed ASTM standards, carry SEI tag and be properly fitted and secured by a harness. AWARDS: All classes receive a first place prize and ribbons 1-6th place unless otherwise noted. A Champion ribbon & prize and Reserve Champion ribbon will be awarded for each division. Class Split Rule: All Classes with over 20 entries will be split. Schooling: There will be open schooling Friday from 1:00pm until 7:00pm for horses entered in the show. Open schooling will be available Saturday morning in both rings from 6:30 am until 15 minutes before stated start times in schedule. There will be a 10 minute restricted schooling for limit riders on Saturday in the outdoor ring. No schooling on Sunday for Jumpers or for NTHJC Hunter Derby. Hand walking only for Derby rings. Non-showing horses must pay a schooling fee of $35.00 per horse per day. MEDAL CLASSES: Open only to NTHJC members. 1 st & 2 nd place winners will qualify for the Medal Finals held at the NTHJC Year End Show. Once a rider wins the class twice, they may not enter again until the Finals. LIMIT DIVISIONS: Limit Divisions are open to Junior or Adult Amateur riders who begin the show season without having won five (5) blue ribbons over fences. Limit Riders may not show over 2 0 at the same show. After winning five (5) blue ribbons over fences the rider may continue to compete in the division until they win ten (10) blue ribbons over fences. After winning ten (10) blue ribbons over fences the rider must move out of that division.

3 CROSS ENTRIES: A horse/rider combination may cross enter only into divisions with fence heights of a 6 difference. Walk Trot poles riders may only cross enter into Walk Trot Crossrails. Walk Trot Crossrails may only cross enter into Walk Trot Canter 18. CHANGES: Management reserves the right to change or cancel classes, alter courses & do all things necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries. Divisions with less than 3 entries may be canceled. All classes, except warm-ups, with 20 or more entries will be split.. CONCESSIONS: Concessions Sat. and Sun 7:00 AM to conclusion of show. WARNING: Under Texas law (Chapter 87, Civil, practice & Remedies Code), an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities. RESPONSIBILITY: Submission of entry to these shows constitutes an agreement to the following: Exhibitor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Valhalla Equestrian and NTHJC officials against any claim, demands, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney fee for the defense thereof, arising from the conduct or management of Exhibitors business or its use of the premises or from any breach on the part of Exhibitors of any conditions of this Agreement, or contractors, agents, employees, guests, or invitees in or about the premises. In case of any action or proceeding brought against Valhalla Equestrian and NTHJC Management by reason of any such claim. Exhibitor, upon notice, covenants to defend such action or proceeding by council acceptable to owner. Exhibitor is responsible for his/her own property and Valhalla Equestrian and NTHJC Management is not responsible for accidents or theft. It is the responsibility of the show management, exhibitors, trainers, and spectators to conduct themselves in a civilized and sportsmanlike manner. It is the responsibility of all trainers and exhibitors to be familiar with the NTHJC Rulebook. $500 NTHJC HUNTER DERBY Sponsored by Value My Horse: Class 51 Fee $50 Open to all horses and ponies that have competed in a division at this show. Fence heights are with option jumps up to 3. 1st round: Classic Hunter course of at least 10 jumps including an In & Out and minimum of 3 options. 2nd Round: Handy Hunter course of top 12 horses if available. Bonus points will be awarded for each option jump completed and in the 2nd round up to ten points may be awarded for handiness. No schooling of the course is allowed. Late entries will ride at the top of the order. 30 minutes prior to the class entries may walk the course with horses in hand only.
