4 GENERAL INFORMATION ENTRY FEES: $25.00 per class unless otherwise indicated. Post Entries are accepted. Pre Entries are preferred. Entries accepted on HorseShowing.com Or Fax entries to: at least 48 hours prior to show. SCRATCHES/REFUNDS: No scratch fee if USEF recognized horse show is cancelled Scratches during the horse show Day: Scratches must be made in the office prior to the start of the division. If rider scratches the horse show, a fee of $ 25 will be charged. Entry Blanks are also available online at TSHCAMP.com from Horse show tab. Info can be typed in, then print and fax. Suggestion: Save on your computer for next horse show. No numbers will be distributed without fees paid in full and a signed entry blank by the exhibitor and/or authorized agent and trainer. The show reserves the right to vary officials as well as to combine, cancel, or divide classes if entries so warrant. Classes with insufficient entries may be cancelled or combined. Measurement time will be 10:30 am. Please request it ahead of time if you need a pony measured. USEF NOTES: All exhibitors in the Pony, Junior, Children s Hunter, and Amateur sections must present their measurement cards at the show office. Every class offered herein which is covered by the specifications of the current USEF Rule Book Zone II, and the LIHSAA will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Trophies and eight ribbons are to be awarded in each class. Championships are offered in all divisions according to USEF rules. STALLS: A limited number of permanent stalls with gates are available for $30.00 per day. Please call in advance. FOOTING: Arena is sand footing 80 x 200 dimensions. Schooling Ring is also sand footing. SCHOOLING: All Schooling rounds will incur a $20 charge per individual un-judged warm up round. Approved protective headgear must be worn when riding anywhere on the grounds. Every rider on the property must have a signed entry blank filled out. USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 nonmember registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2)exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. All competitors must be a member of USHJA or pay non member fee-. $30 USHJA Zone Support Fee: Effective a $2.00 USHJA Zone Support Fee is to be charged to each horse entered at a Federation Licensed Hunter and/or Jumper competition. This fee shall be collected by the competition and remitted to the USHJA in accordance with GR USEF GR301.5(a)): Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s) or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalities may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

5 MEMBER LONG ISLAND HIGH SCORE AWARDS ASSOCIATION All points won at this show will count towards the annual Long Island High Score Awards. Exhibitor s attention is drawn to the requirements regarding the specified minimum number of shows in which an exhibitor must compete to receive an award in a particular division or section. Full set of division specs will be available in printed form at the horse show. ACADEMY DIVISION This is a great opportunity for riders to compete without being members and paying fees. Academy Classes- do not need to be a member of USHJA & USEF. Horses entered only in these classes are exempt from the Federation Fee, including the Equine Drugs and Medication Fee; are not required to have Horse Identification (HID) or Recording number but are to list the HID or Recording number if the horse has been assigned this number. Trainers must have provide USEF membership numbers. Limited to horses and ponies that are used regularly in a lesson program.. Academy-MINI SHORT STIRRUP EQUITATION Open to riders under 12 who are not entered in any other division at this show. Once a rider has won a blue ribbon in Beginner they may not compete in this division. Choose 3 of 5 classes. 9 Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot 10 Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot 11 Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot and Circle 12 Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot and Individual Canter 13 Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot and Single Cross rail OPPORTUNITY DIVISION This is a great OPPORTUNITY for riders to compete without being members and paying fees. Opportunity Classes- do not need to be a member of USHJA & USEF. ADVANCED BEGINNER Open to riders who have not won a ribbon at a recognized horse show where fences exceed 2 0. Riders may not enter any other classes requiring them to jump at this show except Beginner Division. Course will include a change of direction. 5 Advanced Beginner Walk Trot 6 Advanced Beginner Walk Trot Canter 7-8 Advanced Beginner Equitation over fences 18 verticals If either Mini Short Stirrup or Beginner or Advanced Beginner have less than 3 riders, the divisions will be combined. LEADLINE DIVISION Open to riders 7 years old and under who have not competed in any other division at a horse show. 14 Leadline Walk Only 15 Leadline Walk and Trot

6 LIHSAA SHORT STIRRUP EQUITATION A rider who enters and shows in the Short Stirrup Division (Equitation or Hunter) shall not be eligible to enter any other section or division at that show. Riders must be age 12 or under as of December 1 of the current show year. In order to split the section 8 are needed, at least 3 in each section. Section to be split by age. 10 and under and Riders who accumulate 350 points in Short Stirrup Equitation are pointed out of the division and no longer eligible to show in this division at the end of the show year. Permissible test for the Short Stirrup Equitation is USEF Hunter Seat Equitation Test #1. (Halt and/or back). Courses for all short stirrup classes must consist of at least six (6) cross rails not to exceed 18. In the Short Stirrup Hunter Section, courses must contain 1 change of direction. Points for Short Stirrup Equitation will be accrued to bronze, silver and gold medal status as follows: Bronze Medal- 85 points, Silver Medal- 200 points, Gold Medal -350 points. 16 Short Stirrup Equitation Walk Trot 17 Short Stirrup Equitation Walk Trot Canter Short Stirrup Equitation X-Rails PRE-CHILDREN S EQUITATION Open to riders who are eligible for Novice and are not showing over fences higher than 2 6 at this show. Riders who accumulate 250 points are pointed out of the division and no longer eligible to show in this division at the end of the show year. 1st through 6th place will receive points as To be shown over a lower and/ or modified version of the courses used in the National Medal Classes (3'6" and 3' classes). Riders may not compete in the Mini and National Medal classes at the same show that they compete in the Pre-Mini Division. 7 HUNTER DIVISIONS Horse and ponies to be judged on performances, manners, consistency, and soundness. Extreme speed to be penalized. Light contact required. LIHSAA SHORT STIRRUP HUNTER: Open to riders 12 & under who have not shown over fences exceeding 2 3. May not cross enter into any other Division except Short Stirrup Equitation Short Stirrup Hunter X-Rails 23 Short Stirrup Hunter U/S SCHOOLING HUNTER Open to all horses or ponies and all riders Fences Schooling Hunter Fences 2 26 Schooling Hunter U/S LIHSAA PRE-CHILDREN S HUNTER Two sections must be offered: Ponies and Horses. If there are less than 3 entries in either the Pony section or the Horse section, both sections must be combined. Ponies to jump 2 and horses to jump 2 6. A rider who enters and shows in the Pre-Children s Hunter Division must be eligible as a limit equitation rider for the current horse show year as of December 1. Only Perpetual Trophy Winners will be determined by combining divisions as listed below. Points are recalculated using 10,6,4,2 for all Hunter Jumper and Eq divisions. Hunter & Jumper Division points are awarded to horse, regardless of rider. Equitation points are awarded to rider, regardless of horse. For Stormy Weather award, points earned in all divisions will be awarded to rider. 10 LIHSAA SPECIFICATIONS FOR 2015 COURSES: Horses must be shown over a minimum of eight obstacles the required height in all sections. Exception: jump-off courses, High Jump, Six Bar and LIHSAA Short Stirrup. RIDER ELIGIBILITY ON PONIES: In accordance with USEF rules adults may show ponies in classes that are not restricted to junior riders, however that pony may not be shown in any junior exhibitor class at the same show. Ponies are allowed in the following LIHSAA divisions: SS Hunter, Young Hunter, Modified Adult Hunter, Low Hunter, LIHSAA Jumper. See USEF rules for Zone and National divisions. SHORT STIRRUP: A rider who enters and shows in the Short Stirrup Division (Equitation or Hunter) shall not be eligible to enter any other section or division at that show. Riders must be age 12 or under as of December 1st of the current show year. In order to split the section 8 are needed, at least 3 in each section. Section to be split by age. 10 and under and Riders who accumulate 275 points in Short Stirrup Equitation are pointed out of the division and no longer eligible to show in this division at the end of the show year. Divisions will be run in accordance to USEF Zone 2 specifications: CHILDRENS HUNTER HORSE, ADULT AMATEUR HUNTER, AMATEUR OWNER HUNTERS, CHILDRENS HUNTER PONIES, PONY HUNTERS, JUNIOR HUNTERS, PERFORMANCE HUNTERS 3 3 LOW CHILDRENS, LOW ADULT HUNTERS, AND LOW PONY HUNTERS: Combining divisions is allowed if one section has less than three entries. Open to horses and ponies ridden by junior riders according to USEF rules. LIHSAA LOW CHILDRENS HUNTERS/LOW PONY HUNTER: Two sections must be offered: Ponies and Horses. If there are less than 3 entries in either the Pony section or the Horse section, both sections must be combined. Ponies to jump 2' and horses to jump 2'6". Riders may not cross enter into any class/section where fences exceed 2 6 LIHSAA LOW ADULT HUNTERS: Fences 2'3" - 2'6". Open to horses and ponies to be ridden by an adult amateur rider who are considered amateurs according to USEF rules and who have not shown in a Hunter, Jumper or Equitation division with a fence height in excess of 2'6" more than three times in the previous year. Riders may not cross enter into any other division at the same show where fences are higher than 2'6". LIHSAA PRE-MINI EQUITATION: Exhibitors must be Junior Riders who have not won three (3) blue ribbons in any 3' or higher equitation class. 1st through 6th place will receive points as To be shown over a lower and/ or modified version of the courses used in the National Medal Classes (3'6" and 3' classes). Riders may not compete in any classes exceeding 2 6 at the same show that they compete in the Pre-Mini Division. Fences not to exceed 2'6. Combine Pre Mini and Low Adult Equitation - Allowed if one section has less than 3 entries. NOTE: Limited cross entry is allowed as of March An exhibitor may cross enter no more than four times in a show year between Pre Mini and Mini Equitation. The rider must be eligible for each division. The LIPHA sponsors Equitation classes in several divisions. These classes may be held at any show, USEF member or non member as long as LIPHA permission has been obtained. LIHSAA LOW ADULT EQUITATION DIVISION: Exhibitors must be Adult Amateur Riders who have not won three (3) blue ribbons in any 3' or higher equitation class. 1st through 6th place will receive points as To be shown over a lower and/ or modified version of the courses used in the National Medal Classes (3'6" and 3' classes). Riders may not compete in any classes exceeding 2 6 at the same show that they compete in the Low Adult

11 Division. Fences not to exceed 2'6. Combine Pre Mini and Low Adult Equitation - Allowed if one section has less than 3 entries LIHSAA JUMPERS: Open to horses and ponies. Fences 3' to 3'3". LIHSAA LOW HUNTERS: No restrictions as to horse/pony or rider, no restrictions as to cross entering. Fences 2'6". At the discretion of Show Management a Handy Hunter Class may be offered in this division. USEF specs apply. LIHSAA ADULT EQUITATION DIVISION: Riders in the adult equitation classes may not compete in classes where fences exceed 3'6" at the same show. Combine Mini and Adult Equitation - Allowed if one section has less than 3 entries. HUGH J.B. CASSIDY III ADULT MACLAY: Open to adult amateur riders. All contestants are required to perform over at least eight fences at 3 0" with or without wings. A minimum of 12 riders if available is required to show at a walk, trot and canter. To be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of the horse. The Under Saddle shall count 50%. Test Only one rider per horse. ROBERT HOSKINS ADULT MEDAL: Open to adult amateur riders. To be shown over a course of not less than eight obstacles at 3 0" which must include one combination including an oxer, and two changes of direction. Two or more tests of the top four contestants are required. Tests Only one rider per horse. ADULT PHA: To be run in accordance with current PHA equitation rules. Rider must be a Member of the LIPHA as of the date he/she competes in an Adult PHA Medal Class in order for points to count. Fences at 3 0". The LIPHA sponsors Equitation classes in several divisions. These classes may be held at any show, USEF member or non-member as long as LIPHA permission has been obtained. LIHSAA MINI EQUITATION DIVISION HUGH J.B. CASSIDY III MINI MACLAY: Open to Junior riders who have not reached their 18th birthday and who have not won three (3) blue ribbons in a any 3'6" or higher equitation class prior to the closing date for entries for this show. All contestants are required to perform over at least eight obstacles not exceeding 3' with or without wings. A minimum of 12 riders if available is required to show at a walk, trot and canter. To be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of the horse. The Under Saddle performance of those riders selected to show under saddle shall count 50%. Tests Only one rider per horse. L.I.H.S.A.A JAMES RICE DERBY To be run at 3 heights: 2 0 open to small/medium ponies with non-professional riders. 2 6 and 3 0 sections open to Junior, Amateur, and Professional Riders on Horses and ponies. A rider is not limited to the number of horses he/she may ride. Horse and ponies may not be entered in any class exceeding their competing height at the same horse show. To be judged on style and performance. To be scored under the open numerical judging system. Spreads not to exceed fence height. The First round to be over a Classic-type course of 8-12 fences. The top 12 will return to jump a Second round. The Second round may include handy-type elements such as roll-backs and hand galloping and trotting a fence. Scores will be added to determine the winners. Three horses must complete the first round in order to fill the division. A rider must compete in a minimum of 5 James Rice Derby s at the same height to be eligible for a year end award. The yearend awards may be split into Professional and Junior/Amateur sections if entries warrant. L.I.H.S.A.A. OPEN EQUITATION AWARD A Champion and Reserve Champion high point open equitation award will be given at the end of each LIHSAA Calendar year. A riders points are calculated based on the number of points accumulated in the Medal, Maclay and PHA classes in one LIHSAA Calendar year. Riders Point will be averaged based on number of horse shows competed in. A rider must compete in a minimum of six LIHSAA recognized shows in the Open Equitation Divisions to be eligible for an award. L.I.H.S.A.A. PERFORMANCE HUNTERS. Open to Junior, Amateur and Professional riders. Fences 3 3 To be judges on performance, soundness, and manners. Extreme Speed will be penalized. Under saddle will count half points towards champion and reserve. Will Run According to Zone 2 Specs. Horses must jog for ribbons.
