Race 4: Press Vinery Handicap 2200m Secateur trainer Mr D Williams reported that a full veterinary examination, including a blood count, revealed no abnormalities, other than a laceration to the near-hind leg and advised that the gelding was found to have lost its near-fore plate in running. The Stewards ruled that Secateur must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. Scooner trainer Mr C Waller advised the gelding has been spelled. Race 6: Farewell Ray Murrihy Handicap 1100m Colour Drops stable representative Ms T Rouse advised the mare had pulled up well and they will continue with its campaign. Race 7: tab.om.au Handicap 1600m Rye trainer Mr C Waller advised the gelding had pulled up well and confirmed that it had not handled the soft track conditions. Our Beatnik trainer Mr C Waller advised the gelding had pulled up well and they will continue with its preparation. LATE RIDING CHANGES: As App. W Costin was indisposed due to an injury, Stewards permitted the following riding substitutions: Race 2 Race 3 App. K Jennings on Ravi. App. A Sewell on Attainment.

2 2 LATE SCRATCHINGS Due to the track downgrade to Heavy (10) at 10.45am, the Stewards permitted the following withdrawals: Race 1 Race 5 Race 7 Nonpareil at 11.08am Distraught at 11.11am Farolitos at 11.11am RACE 1: Piper-Heidsieck Handicap 1200m Nonpareil late withdrawal at 11.08am due to track downgrade. Stewards subsequently ordered that all monies wagered on Nonpareil be refunded in full and with regard to betting with bookmakers all successful wagers made prior to 11.08am to be subject to the following deductions in the dollar on the face value of the ticket: 1 st ) Henry the Createth less 27ȼ win and 28ȼ place 2 nd ) Brulee less 27ȼ place Orleans was fractious in the barrier and its rider A Hyeronimus accidentally dropped his whip, resulting in the start being delayed. Rider A Hyeronimus reported the colt did not handle the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Henry The Createth jumped awkwardly. Smart Venture hampered on jumping when crowded by Orleans, which shifted out. Brulee hampered at the start. Palladian App. A Adkins reported the colt did not handle the heavy track conditions. A postrace veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. RACE 2: New Caledonia Travel Connection Handicap 1200m Ravi near the 900m steadied to avoid the heels of Ciarlet. Nudierudie making the first turn inclined to lay in and away from Thorsborne. Dipped in the going near the 800m. Lucky Fish approaching the 250m was inconvenienced when crowded between Ciarlet and Wide Acclaim (App. M McGillivray), which shifted out to improve. App. McGillivray was reprimanded and advised he must ensure he is two lengths clear when shifting ground. When questioned regarding racing further back in the field, A Hyeronimus stated he was under no specific instructions, but did anticipate taking up a forward position. He added that, when caught wide in the early stages, he elected to restrain to obtain cover, rather than being caught wide, however, Lucky Fish then did not travel and lost additional ground and, consequently, raced further back than had been intended. Positive Charge which was inclined to lay out under pressure in the straight, was disappointed for a run approaching the 200m between Noble Joey and Nudierudie. Positive Charge then shifted to the outside of the heels of Nudierudie to continue into clear running.

3 3 Wide Acclaim near the 150m was inconvenienced by Positive Charge, which continued to lay out under pressure and proved difficult to ride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a laceration to the near-fore cannon. Ciarlet rider G Schofield and trainer Mr C Waller both advised that the filly did not handle today's heavy track. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. RACE 3: TAB Highway Handicap 1400m The start was delayed when Stewards inspected a section of the track between the 900m and 700m following some riders expressing concern regarding the footing. Whilst the inspection revealed that there was some parts with wear in that section of the track, having regard to the fact that races 3 to 8 were being conducted on the main course proper and not in the chute, it was agreed that the meeting would continue. Stratum's Siren slipped over in the mounting enclosure. After being examined by Racing NSW official veterinarians, the mare was passed fit to start. After arriving at the barrier, Stratum's Siren was again inspected by an official veterinarian, who again passed the mare fit to start. After travelling a short distance, had to be checked when crowded between Grand Rouge and Dashie De Luxe, which was taken out by Canny Hero (App. J Innes Jr). App. Innes was advised he must stop riding and straighten his mounts when they commence to shift ground. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, App. T Wolfgram stated that, in his view, although his mount was obliged to travel on the inside of the track where the going was somewhat inferior, he attributed today's performance to the fact that the mare failed to handle the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities, other than a superficial abrasion to the near-side shoulder. Attainment on jumping was hampered when bumped by Bid Of Faith, which shifted in. Attainment then raced in restricted room for some distance shortly after the start and, after travelling 50m, had to be checked when crowded by Bid Of Faith, which continued to shift in. Emerald Ice checked on jumping when crowded between Attainment and Grand Rouge, which shifted out. Falco checked on jumping when crowded between Grand Rouge and Stratum's Siren, which was taken out by Dashie De Luxe. Bid Of Faith approaching the 1000m, when endeavouring to obtain cover on the back of Dashie De Luxe, struck the heels of Dashie De Luxe and blundered badly and, as a consequence, lost ground. App. M McGillivray was cautioned against the practice of positioning his mounts too close to runners in front. Dashie De Luxe rider K O'Hara reported that the mare did not handle the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. RACE 4: FIIG Handicap 1400m Inz'n'out buffeted on jumping between Marenostro and She's Clean. Marenostro and She's Clean became unbalanced. In the incident Marenostro A Hyeronimus (Inz'n'out) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that approaching the first turn he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of

4 4 Marenostro, which was crowded and lost its running and further taken in onto River Lad, which was steadied. A Hyeronimus's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Sunday, 12 June 2016 and to expire on Saturday, 18 June 2016, on which day he may ride. She's Clean rider G Schofield advised that the mare never travelled comfortably at any stage and failed to run on. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities, other than the mare lost its off-fore plate in running. Trainer Mr C Waller advised he would now reassess She's Clean and advise the Stewards of the future plans for the mare. Ninth Legion a post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. RACE 5: TPG Handicap 1500m Harlem Lady slow to begin. Overraced in the early and middle stages and got its head up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare lost its near-fore plate in running. Swift Lady slow to begin. Piamimi over the concluding stages could not be fully tested when awkwardly placed close to the heels of Harlem Lady. Dynamic Rock rider A Hyeronimus could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the mare and indicated to Stewards he was of the view it had handled the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Stable representative Mr C Armstrong advised that they would report back on the future race plans for the mare. Like Xena rider T Huet was fined the sum of $300 under AR137(b) for failing to ride his mount (placed 6 th ) out to the end of the race. In assessing penalty, the Stewards took into consideration that Harlem Lady had shifted in towards his mount, but had not directly crowded his line. Campania a post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare was displaying the thumps. The condition was brought to the attention of trainer Mr G Frazer. RACE 6: Pro IT Handicap 1500m Seeking Asylum as App. M McGillivray was indisposed following Race 3, App. L Grace was substituted as the rider of the filly. So Willie began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with Classic Uniform. Dubaiinstyle slow to begin. Near the 250m was steadied when crowded between Triple Snitz (App. J Innes Jr), which shifted in, and Tremezzina (K O'Hara), which shifted out away from Montauk. App. Innes and K O'Hara were both advised to exercise more care. Dubaiinstyle then shifted to the outside of Triple Snitz to obtain clear running, but was then held up on the heels of Supply And Demand. Dubaiinstyle was then shifted back in to obtain clear running. Roguish App. A Adkins stated that he had to make some use of his mount in the early stages to cross Classic Uniform, but then his mount, which was racing in blinkers for the first

5 5 time, was inclined to overrace. He added that, in his view, Roguish was not comfortable in today's heavy going and this contributed to it not finishing the race off. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr T Martin agreed with the views of App. Adkins and stated that Roguish had pleased him since its last start at Randwick on 28 May Mr Martin indicated he will give Roguish a let up and undertook to report back on the progress of the gelding subsequent to the race. Hand From Above rider T Huet stated his mount never travelled in the heavy track conditions throughout the race and was disappointing and failed to run on. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Montauk rider G Schofield could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr C Waller stated, in his view the gelding was not suited by the heavy track conditions and would now be spelled. RACE 7: Monaco Cup 1500m Rock Mylady rider T Huet started, after the gelding was fractious in the barriers, it missed the start (2L) and settled further back than intended. He added, after making a wide run on the gelding, its condition gave out on the heavy track over the concluding stages and, in his view, would benefit from today's run. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Sebrina when questioned regarding the mare leading today, rider App. D Panya stated that she had no specific instructions, other than to have the mare settle where comfortable, but had anticipated taking a position with cover close to midfield. She added, with the expected leader, Kontiki Dane, did not continue to go forward in the early stages and when her mount was caught four wide, she elected to allow Sebrina to go forward and take up the lead, where the mare travelled comfortable in front. Stable representative Mr J Bruce confirmed the instructions issued and indicated the stable had expected Kontiki Dane to lead the event and that Sebrina would settle in a position with cover. Collaboration A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. RACE 8: Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting Handicap 1800m Foreign Prince blundered on jumping. Berry Delicious inconvenienced near the 300m when Tales Of Grimm shifted out. Casino Dancer A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Goldstream rider A Hyeronimus stated that the horse was inclined to overrace throughout the early and middle stages and making the first turn ran wider. He added, once settled Goldstream travelled comfortably, however, after striking a worn section near the 800m, his mount became immediately under pressure, failed to respond to his riding and weakened from that point. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr K Lees stated that, in his view, the horse was not comfortable on today's heavy track conditions. Mr Lees undertook to report back on the progress of Goldstream subsequent to the race. High Midnight rider G Schofield stated that his mount travelled through the heavy track conditions well but, in his view, did not run out a strong 1800m. A post-race veterinary

6 6 examination revealed the gelding had bled from one nostril. Trainer Mr J Cummings was advised that High Midnight must gallop 1000m or barrier trial prior to racing again. RACE 9: Pacific Boating Handicap 1200m Following an inspection of a section of the track near the 900m prior to Race 3, where it was found that there were particularly heavy sections of the track showing signs of wear, the Stewards, after consultation with trainers, riders and other officials, ordered that this race be started on the course proper, thereby avoiding this section of the track. Frill Seeking trainer Mr M Smith was fined $100 under LR35 for the late notification of T Angland as the rider of the mare. Grande Punto slow to begin. Alart bumped with Kaleidoscope on jumping and became unbalanced. Rider G Ryan stated his mount raced flat throughout the event and he could offer no excuse for it not finishing the race off. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Kaleidoscope bumped with Alart on jumping and became unbalanced. Slydini bumped by Alart shortly after the start. Painte made contact with Slydini shortly after the start. Encostanati rider A Hyeronimus stated that his mount travelled comfortably behind the leader, Freeze The Charges, but when placed under pressure, failed to handle the heavy track conditions and would benefit from today's run as, in his view, the gelding ran out of condition. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying respiratory distress. Stable representative Mr J Bruce stated was advised Encostanati would be required to barrier trial prior to racing again. GENERAL: Swab samples were taken from all winners and the following runners: Race 1: Henry The Createth, Palladian, Smart Venture, Brulee. Race 2: Nudierudie, Wide Acclaim, Thorsborne, Noble Joey. Race 3: Falco, Stratum's Siren, Dashie De Luxe, Grand Rouge, Attainment, Emerald Ice, Balametalica. Race 4: River Lad, Office Bearer, Inz'n'out. Race 5: Kellyville Flyer (2), Piamimi (2), Like Xena, Swift Lady, Trois Choix, Harlem Lady. Race 6: Hursley, Surfin' Safari, Classic Uniform Triple Snitz, More Than Fabulous. Race 7: Collaboration, Sebrina (2), Kontiki Dane, Metallic Crown. Race 8: Casino Dancer, Goldstream, Loophole, Jiayuguan, High Midnight.
