EST JOHN LYONS SYMPOSIUMS 5 DAY CLINICS THE DETAILS ON WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

The 5 Day Clinic offers everything that the 3 Day Clinic does and in addition Performance Riding Only last two days: YOUR EDUCATION Understanding collection verses natural Building respect, trust, and willingness Gaining yours and your horses attention Developing rider and horses focus Developing a better attitude in both horse and rider Building rider confidence while dealing with rider fear Learning how to take correction out of your training Using less leg while gaining better control of the shoulders and hindquarters GROUND Developing better ground manners Shoulder Control Hip Control Improving stops Improving backing Side Passing Diagonals Softness to the bridle Haunches in

PROBLEM SOLVING Changing our approach to solving problems How to change unwanted behaviors Calming down the hyper horse Solving over bending Buddy Sour/Barn Sour Bad or unwanted ground manners RIDING Shoulder control Hip control Improving stops Speed control Side Passing Leads Going straight

GROUND & RIDING Responsiveness to the bridle Softness to the bridle Shoulder control Breaking at the poll Hindquarter control Three tracking and four tracking Turns on the forehand Backing Collection PARTNERSHIP Responsiveness to the bridle Softness to the bridle Shoulder control Breaking at the poll Hindquarter control Three tracking and four tracking Turns on the forehand Backing Collection

PERFORMANCE & RIDING ONLY Using diagonals for speed control Correct soft and collected transitions in speeds at all gaits Lead changes Collection Perfect Circles, utilizing both shoulders and hing quarters Teaching haunches in, three & four tracking All of these topics will be covered within varying degrees throughout the combined clinics, however there will also be additional topics covered and questions from all clinic participants will be encouraged. We recommend that the rider bring the best trained horse they have in order to learn and focus on the exercises which John is teaching. Then you can take those lessons learned and apply them to any other horses you wish. Any horse, mule, etc. is welcome to the clinic other than an unbroken horse, unless the rider would only like to focus on ground training, saddling the first time and only ground work. Unbroken horses will not be ridden during this clinic or on the clinic grounds unless agreed to by John in writing while at the clinic, as this is not a starting clinic. However you will learn and gain knowledge that will aide you in the starting of your horse. Unbroken horses must do the five day session. The training methods John teaches apply to all styles of riding, and all breeds of horse's, and all ages.

Clinics are limited to 10 riders Three day clinic: $1,000. (if the deposit is paid by stated date for clinic, the price is discounted to $900) Five day clinic: $1,300. (if the deposit is paid by stated date for clinic, the price is discounted to $1,200) Observers can attend for $60 per day or $250 for five days if pre paid. Non Refundable Deposits are $250 for either clinic. Deposit is transferable to another clinic if you have provided 30 day notice prior to original clinic date and must be used within 1 year of original purchase. No refunds available.

ADDITIONAL INFO Stall fees are not included and may vary based on clinic location. Bedding and feed are not included and are an additional cost. It is strongly suggested that you always bring your own feed for the duration of the clinic. Facilities for the clinics vary in regards to services from room and board, to hook ups and camping sites. It is the responsibility of the attending rider/ observer to make any reservations required. In many cases John Lyons Symposiums will make stall arrangements for you, but you need to discuss this with John Lyons personnel after registering. Husbands and/or wives may bring their spouse at no charge to observe. If rider brings a "helper" then a 1/2 price observer fee will be charged. One helper/ observer will be permitted with each rider. If you have any questions regarding this information, please feel free to contact us.
