Points awarded as follows: PSG & Int. 6 SPECIAL INFORMATION Special Information relating to Young Horse and Pony Competitions Entry fees for the Young Horse and pony includes all rounds Refer section 5 of the 2014 EA dressage rules for full details. All horses, riders and owners must be current members and registered with the EA. EA Rules apply. All horses must exceed 149cms with shoes. The birth dates for all horses and ponies will be as at 1st August. Eg. 4 YO: for horses/ponies born between 1/8/2010 and 31/7/ YO: for horses born between 1/8/2009 and 31/7/ YO: for horses born between 1/8/2008 and 31/7/2009 Approved safety helmets are to be worn for all Young Horse competitions. Whips are permitted in the 4 year old competitions only max length 1.2m horses, 1m (100cm) ponies (whips not permitted for 5 & 6 year old horses and ponies) Round 1: Commanded in groups of 2 or 3. EA YH commanded tests for 4/5/6 year old horses (same test for both horses and ponies). Top 15 from the first round will progress to the second round. Round 2: Ridden individually Tests to be ridden will be: 4 YO Horses & Ponies: FEI test for 4 year old horses; 5 YO Horses & Ponies: FEI YH Preliminary test for 5 year old horses; 6 YO Horses: FEI YH Preliminary test for 6 year old horses; 6 YO Ponies: EA Young Pony Preliminary test for 6 year olds (Effective 1/8/14) Round 3: The combined score from Round 1 and 2 will determine the top 3 in each age group. The top 3 from the second round will go through to the final round Both rounds will be qualifiers for the 2015 Australian Young Horse Championships Special Information relating to the FEI Pacific League World Cup Dressage Final: All Grand Prix riders are required to enter the CDN GP competition classes. Those riders selected by the National Dressage Selectors will then be moved to the Pacific League World Cup Final section. If you are not selected for the CDI-WLF and do not wish to participate in the CDN Grand Prix a full refund less the admin fee will be given. The Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle will be conducted according to the FEI World Cup Pacific League rules The Grand Prix serves as the qualifying competition to determine the starting order for the Grand Prix Freestyle. The winner of the Grand Prix Freestyle CDIW-LF is the overall winner of the Pacific League World Cup Final Riders must gain a minimum of 60% to be eligible for the Freestyle The Pacific League Final will consist of a maximum of fifteen (15) eligible combinations. 7 CONDITIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION The Boneo Classic will be conducted in strict accordance with the current edition (including amendments) of: FEI General Regulations; FEI Veterinary Regulations; FEI Dressage Rules; and FEI Rules for CDI-WLF Dressage. Horses must be at least 8 years of age for Grand Prix level and 7 years of age for Prix St. Georges level and have a height at the withers exceeding 149 cm including shoes The Boneo Classic CDI competitions are open to riders from the year in which they reach their 16th birthday. For CDI-Y: Open to riders from beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 16 until the end of the calendar year they reach the age of 21. CDI-U25 open to riders aged 16 to 25 years. For National competitions, current EA Dressage rules apply. Entry of horses is limited to two consecutive levels, i.e. Advanced/Prix St Georges; Prix St Georges/Intermediate I. Riders may participate under the jurisdiction of the country of which the rider holds his/her passport Riders may ride more than one horse Riders should be aware that the FEI considers any withdrawals without a valid excuse after the definite entry date as serious All horses entered in the CDI events are subject to a Horse Inspection For CDI-Y and CDI-U25 competitors from Australia, passports aren t required, however National ID Documents will be required. All other horses entered in the other CDI competitions must have an official FEI Passport, or National Passport approved by the FEI, as a means of identification and to establish ownership. (Gen. Regs. Art. 137). EA Horse I.D. documents are available from the EA National Office. Riders must ensure that they have the appropriate documents on arrival. Enquiries EA All riders and horses participating in FEI events (at this event the CDI classes) must be registered on the FEI database. Registrations must be renewed each calendar year. EA collects the charges on behalf of the FEI. Registration forms are available on the EA web site. or contact the National Office. Please note that this registration is required even if the horse has an FEI Passport or EA National Identification Document. Advertising and Publicity on competitors and horses (Gen. Regs. Art ): The competitors are authorised to carry the logo of their personal sponsor on the saddle cloth in accordance with Art Riders with privately organised sponsorship may display a "logo" of their sponsor on their saddlecloth. The area covered by this logo may not exceed 200 sq. cm. A sponsor s label on jackets must not exceed 80 sq. cm at the height of breast pockets. Please note that if more than one sponsor logo is placed on the saddlecloth, the area covered by all logos may not exceed 200 sq. cm as above. The Chief Steward will check that the advertising and publicity on competitors and horses complies with Article 135 of the General Regulations Eligibility: Performances gained between 17 th December 2013 and 17 th December CDI Grand Prix horses must have two performances of 62% at a national Grand Prix event to be eligible to enter. CDI-Y, at least one performance of 60% at PSG or CDI-Y competition. CDI-U25, one performance of 60% at Intermediate A or B, Intermediate II, EA BTEL or U25 GP. Entries will be capped at all levels and horses accepted on performances as per National Championships i.e. based on the average percentage of the 3 highest performances during the previous 12 months. Three performances accepted ahead of those who submit one or two performances. Only one HC score is allowed CDN and EA classes CDN and EA classes are all run under Equestrian Australia 2014 Dressage rules, no performances required, however in the event of oversubscription, entries will be accepted based on performances. The Organising Committee does have discretion to make exceptions in special consideration to accept certain combinations Liability: Riders and/or owners whose entries have been accepted will undertake to indemnify the Organizing Body against all claims, losses, suits, and damages made against or suffered by the Organizing Body by reason of any negligent act or omission on the part of any rider, trainer or attendant whilst he is attending, riding or otherwise handling a horse and agrees that act or omission on the part of such rider or attendant found in any action against the Organizing Body to be negligent, shall be deemed to have been negligent for the purpose of any claim under this indemnity. Entry refunds: For all entries, 50% of the entry fee will be refunded on receipt of a doctor s or vet certificate submitted to Event Secretary, 312 Boneo Road, Boneo, VIC 3939 within 7 days of the event. There will be no refund on purchased tickets. Please notify all scratchings to the Event Secretary, on or events@boneopark.com.au. Horse feed will be the responsibility of the competitor and can be ordered from Balnarring Stock Feeds Garden & Pet Supplies, 2990 Frankston Flinders Road, BALNARRING VIC 3926, Phone: Accreditation/Ticketing: General admission passes will be allocated as follows: One pass per rider and two additional passes per horse. This entitles the bearer to free admittance to the venue and to the seating stands at all times. Accreditation (in the form of wrist bands) will be issued at the venue. Any withdrawals after the definite date of entry will be mentioned in the Foreign Judges report and submitted through the President of Ground Jury, Foreign Judge and the Organising Committee. They are therefore strongly advised to take out a third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad, and to keep the policy up to date. 9 THE FEI CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences. 1. At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation. 2. Horses and athletes must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids. 3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event. 4. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement. 5. The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of expertise.
