Reins with romal required. Only one hand may be used on the reins and hands must not be changed. When cross entering into AQHA classes at approved NRCHA events, NRCHA equipment rules will take precedence. Spectaculars Spectaculars are defined as Bridle, Hackamore or Two Rein classes that include Herd work, Rein Work and Fence Work NRCHA Rules for Judging apply throughout contest In the Herd work, it is permissible to hold Romal Reins in one hand It will be at the Show Management s discretion if the rein and cow work are run back-to-back or separately 3. 6 Hackamore Classes - to horses 5 years of age and under as of January 1st of current show year that have never been shown in a bridle or two rein down the fence at any judged classes or events with the exception of horse sales. The rider shall use closed reins. Two hands must be used on the reins, except in the herd work. 3.7 Two Rein Class - open to horses of any age that have not shown in the bridle down the fence in any judged classes or events with the exception of horse sales, prior to November 16 th of the current show year. These horses can be shown only one year in this class. A horse may be shown in the two rein equipment for one year only regardless of the class it is shown in. The rider must use an approved bit in accordance with Rule 5.2 with an approved bosal in accordance with Rule 5.4 and 5.5 underneath the bridle. When cross entering into AQHA classes at approved NRCHA events, NRCHA equipment rules will take precedence. Only one hand may be used on the reins and hands must not be changed. Any number of fingers between reins will be permitted. Earnings in this class are counted as bridle earnings for purposes of Merit awards. 3.8 Non Pro Limited, $5,000 - Classes - work to consist of reining pattern and single cow work (boxing) on the end of the arena. Each contestant upon receiving a cow in the arena shall hold that cow on the prescribed end of the arena for 50 seconds, demonstrating the ability of the horse and rider to control the cow. Time shall begin when the gate closes behind the cow after being let into the arena. The announcer or judge will signal the completion of the 50 seconds with a whistle or horn. Horses 5 years of age and under as of January 1st of current show year may be shown in either a snaffle bit or hackamore. Horses of any age may be shown in the two rein equipment (for one year only) or bridle. Open to approved Non Pro riders who have not earned more than $5,000 in lifetime earnings and who comply with all Non Pro eligibility rules, with the exception of the ownership rule. 3 9. Rules For Competition An owner may enter more than one horse and/or rider may ride more than one horse. A horse may be entered only once per division. 9.2 All payments for entry and other fees will be made payable to the Show Committee and must be good funds in order to be valid. 9.3 Payments must be postmarked by midnight of the due date or a late penalty will be assessed. At all NRCHA judged classes rider and horse owner have to be a valid proofed member All Non Pro rider s horses must be current on horse s papers, horses cannot be shown on transfers! 4 General Show Rules 1. Entries will only be processed if: Entry forms are filled out correctly and have been sent in time by mail, or fax. All entry and stable fees are paid and credited to the Show Office until deadline. A copy of the horse certificate of registration is enclosed. copy of valid membership card rider and/or horse owner is enclosed 2. Competitor/Exhibitor agrees to comply with the rules and regulations as stated in the show announcement. 3. The promoter retains the right to change the announcement, to transfer (change date and/or location) the event, or under return of all fees to cancel the event, if special circumstances should requisite this. 4. The promoter is not responsible for late or lost entry forms. 5. The competitor has the sole responsibility for its start. 6. Each horse must be liability insured and free of an epidemic and must come out from a stable which is epidemical free. The horse must be as well vaccinated against influenza. The certificate of vaccination must be carried with and on insistence it has to be shown at the show office.
