1 July 15, 2018 Dear competitors, owners, stallion owners, sponsors and friends: Re: Changes to the 2018 Canadian Supreme Attached is the 2018 Canadian Supreme entry package. Numerous changes will be implemented at the 2018 show, see below: New dates Due to a scheduling conflict at Westerner Park the show will be two weeks earlier in 2018, September 11 th to 16 th. The new dates will change the entry deadline to August 23, The Cutting practice pen is moving to the Covered Pens. The covered pen has a permanent tent over it and one side is covered to the ground (the west side, where most of the weather comes from). Cutting Finals We have eliminated the finals fee from all the cutting classes. The Canadian Supreme Breeders Group cutting classes will be 2 goes and an aggregate payout. New Classes We have added a Limited Open Cutting $200K class to the 3, 4 & 5/6 year old cutting. The cow horse classes now include an Open and Non Pro Hackamore. More Added Money We have added more money to some of the cutting and cow horse classes. The cow horse classes are now National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) approved. The cow horse futurity and derby will continue to do their reined work in the Agricentre on Friday. The other cow horse classes will do their rein and fence together in the Stockmen s on Sunday after the completion of the cutting classes. Once the cutting is complete, ground work will be completed to ensure the pen is ready for rein and fence work.
