1 Gelandesprung Gazette November 2008 The ski year is here! I first say thanks to those who were at the banquet - it was a good one! Thanks to the Sports Corner for some great food and great service as always. The Club gave away a few door prizes - thanks to the following for their contributions: Zeller s, J+E Quality Lube, Marquette Mountain, S.C. Grand, Judy Van Caster, and Bill and Peg Wanie. The Club included ski trips as some of the door prizes - congratulations to Mary Lou Kuske for winning the weekend trip to the Marquette Spring Carnival, and to all of the other winners. There was a great response to trip sign-ups during the banquet - we have no fewer than 15 people signed up on each of the trips already, with 33 for Boyne and 34 for Big Snow! Get signed-up if you want to get on these trips - don t wait! If you sign up early enough, you are eligible for an Early-Bird Discount. Also, there are a couple of trips which Sly Fox is running - check the web site. When you sign-up for trips, please make sure to let us know at which location you will load, Appleton or Green Bay. Please remember that the 2009 membership payment is due by November 30 th. For those on the Big Sky trip, the second payment is due on or before November 13 th. Zeller s Open House is set for November 6th at 7 pm - come on out for some refreshments and a little fun! This event is a good time to sign-up for some trips, check-out the new gear, and/or buy something new. As Zeller s will hold a fashion show again during the Open House, we re still in need of a few more volunteers, two female and one male, to do the modeling please call me or Zeller s. I am going to make this short. We ve got some great trips planned - don t wait until it s too late, get signed-up. See ya at Zeller s. Check the newsletter for meeting dates and times. I hope you re ready! Carl Williquette New Members: Dawn Thiel Michael Yauger Fall Golf Classic Saturday, Ocotber 4, 2008 The day was sunny and a little cool. We played at Mid-Valley Golf Course this year. The golfing gods were good to us again this year. We had only 11 players this year. The team of Sam Fontaine, Deb Bramschreiber, and Carl Williquette had Low Score of even Par 70 to take honors as the Low Round of the Day. After Golfing, the 19th hole was up to its usual standards. The adult beverages were cold and the food was good. Diane Coyle and Dan Goudreau joined us on the 19th hole. Everyone was talking about the upcoming ski trips and who was going on which trip. I hope everyone had a good summer. It is now the time to start thinking about getting the Skiing/Snow Boarding Legs into shape for the upcoming Ski Season. If there is something you would like in the newsletter, please submit it to me by the 20th of the month. Thank you! My address is: mollysteffens@hotmail.com
