Tournament Standings- Tiebreakers - Tiebreakers in pool play will be determined in the following order: A. Head To Head Record B. Total Points Least Allowed C. Total Points Scored Minus Total Points Allowed D. Tournament Director s Discretion 3. Other Notes A. The 2018 Ocean View Girls Varsity Hawk Holiday Classic is the next in what we hope will be many competitive Varsity Tournaments that you come back to year after year. If you sent one level this year, please consider sending back your other levels next year to our JV/FS Tournament the week after Christmas if your school offers JV & FS levels. B. It is requested that: i. You arrive to Ocean View (OVHS), Pacifica (PHS), Los Amigos (LAHS) or Liberty Christian (LCHS) at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled game time so we can keep the Tournament on time and running smoothly. ii. All teams after shaking hands pick up their water bottles and other trash and place them in any trash receptacle outside all gym doors. iii. You remind any parents and other spectators that there is an admission charge at the door and there will also be a snack bar with drinks and snacks open for their convenience by the front entrance. Please also ask all of your spectators to place any trash they may have in a convenient trash receptacle outside any gym door. C. The visitor s bench is the one closest to the front entrance & the home bench is closest to the locker room side of the gym at Ocean View. The home bench is closest to the front entrance at Liberty Christian. Please ask for bench assignment at Pacifica and Los Amigos. D. The Tournament Directors are Kim Morris, Ocean View Girls Varsity Head Coach, and Steve Harris, Ocean View Basketball Director of Operations. His number is if you have any problems or questions during the Tournament. If he doesn t answer immediately, please leave a message and he will get back to you ASAP. E. If you need a locker room to change in or a place to talk with your team, please ask the Tournament Director and every attempt will be made to accommodate you. This year s 2018 Ocean View Girls Varsity Basketball Hawk Holiday Classic will be played at: Ocean View HS at Gothard St., Huntington Beach, CA (The gym at Ocean View is located off the Warner Ave. parking lot) Pacifica HS at 6851 Lampson Ave., Garden Grove, CA Los Amigos HS at Newhope St., Fountain Valley, CA Liberty Christian School at 7661 Warner Ave., Huntington Beach, CA G. The Tournament reserves the right to move a game or an opponent to keep league opponents from playing each other as long as it s not a Championship or 3rd Place contest, to keep Pacifica, Los Amigos & Ocean View at home if it s not a Championship contest, or to move to 5:30 at Liberty Christian on Saturday 12/8 due to their religious affiliation as long as it s not a Championship contest.
