T Berry was fined $400. WARWICK FARM: Wednesday, 10 February 2016 RACE 2 McGrath Estate Agents Handicap 2400m Anglo Irish Mr P Muscat, stable representative for trainer Mr C Waller, stated that Anglo Irish had left the stable. LATE RIDING CHANGES: As App J Taylor fractured her right wrist when injured in an incident at Hawkesbury Races yesterday, the Stewards permitted the following rider substitutions: Race 2 Race 5 Prince Roo J Penza Smarty Pants J Penza As J McDonald suffered an injury to his right ankle in the barriers prior to Race 3, he was ruled unfit to fulfil his engagements and the Stewards permitted the following rider substitutions: Race 5 Race 6 Race 7 Sovereignaire H Bowman Rock Temple K McEvoy Action Button J Penza RACE 1 Schweppes Handicap 1550m Pico Turquino was slow to begin and ran in at the start (3L). Pico Turquino had to be steadied off the heels of Miss Royale for some distance passing the 1200m. Pico Turquino overraced in the middle stages and had to be severely checked off the heels of Miss Royale when that mare broke down at the 400m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Miss Royale near the 1200m, had to be steadied off the heels of Tilly's Waltz when the pace slackened. Miss Royale blundered badly approaching the home turn when it sustained an injury to the near fore leg resulting in its rider H Bowman retiring the mare out of the race. Miss Royale was subsequently euthanised on humane grounds. H Bowman explained that although the mare had to be steadied at the 1200m, she maintained good rhythm until passing the 600m where again she raced keenly for a short distance. He added, however, that the mare gave no indication that anything was amiss as he expected to improve rounding the turn to make his run. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have suffered a fracture of the near fore cannon extending down into the fetlock joint. Stable representative Mr P Muscat stated that although the mare had been inclined to

2 go keenly in her work, there had been no soundness issues leading into today s race. He undertook to present veterinary records and treatment records for the mare. Miss Royale was sent to the University Veterinary Clinic at Camden for a post mortem. The matter was adjourned pending the results of a necropsy report and a urine sample to be collected from the mare. Alma Girl near the 400m had to be checked away from the heels of Laugharne and was taken wider around the turn. Approaching the 200m, Alma Girl was disappointed for a run between Lucky Sky and Laugharne, which shifted out. Alma Girl then had to shift ground to the outside of the heels of Lucky Sky to continue into clear running. Laugharne made contact near the 400m with Pico Turquino as that mare was being checked away from the heels of Miss Royale. RACE 2 Ranvet Handicap 1550m Spiritos jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with Self Esteem. Spiritos made contact with the running rail near the 650m. Laucala rounding the home turn improved to the outside of the tiring Prince Roo and shifted out and bumped Daisy's Joy. Laucala (B Shinn) then attempted a narrow run to the outside of the tiring Damedge and again made contact with Daisy's Joy. B Shinn was spoken to in relation to improving into runs where there was doubtful room and was advised to ensure that when attempting similar manoeuvres, he should ensure there is sufficient room to improve without causing interference to other runners. Peggy's Cove T Berry, rider of Peggy's Cove, had to desist riding close to the finish when improving onto the heels of Hierarchal. Damedge a post race veterinary examination of Damedge, which was obliged to travel wide throughout, revealed a neurological condition. Trainer Mr C Waller will be interviewed. RACE 3 TAB Rewards Handicap 1550m Reiby The Red after being placed in the barriers, Reiby The Red became factious and reared, resulting in J McDonald suffering an injury to his right ankle. Consequently, Reiby The Red was withdrawn by the Stewards at 8.01pm. The Stewards ruled that all monies invested on Reiby The Red be refunded in full and that all successful wagers made prior to 8.01pm be subject to the following deductions in the face value of each ticket. 1 st Tower Of Song 6 cents win, 6 cents place 2 nd Appoint Percy 7 cents place 3 rd Rhodin Drive 7 cents place J McDonald was examined by the Club's doctor and ruled unfit to fulfil his engagements. Trainer Mr J Attard was advised that a warning would be placed on Reiby The Red based on his barrier manners. Eyre Square change of tactics to be ridden further back; settled well back. Eyre Square was slow to begin. Trainer Mr M Sues was reprimanded for presenting Eyre Square with worn hind plates which required farrier attention on arrival on course. Whilst the farrier advised that the plates were suitable to be worn tonight, Mr Sues was directed to have Eyre Square reshod prior to the horse's next start. Jimarni jumped awkwardly. Fira laid in in the middle stages and hampered Eyre Square for some distance approaching the 400m. Tower Of Song when questioned regarding Tower Of Song leading tonight, H Bowman stated that it was not his intention to lead, but he expected to be racing in a forward position on the gelding. He added that Tower Of Song ran out shortly after the start and inconvenienced the other possible leader, Tradtri, and without unduly pressuring his mount when it was apparent that he would be caught wide, he allowed his mount to stride forward.

3 Royal Jackpot a post race veterinary examination revealed a puncture wound to the off fore sole of the foot. RACE 4 Bowermans Office Furniture Handicap 1200m Wide Acclaim pulled hard when trapped wide in the early and middle stages. Dubaiinstyle rider H Bowman could not fully test the colt out over the last 25m as it improved quickly towards the heels of Secret Trail. RACE 5 TAB.com.au Handicap 1900m Now's The Time jumped the crossing at the 1200m. App R Hutchings advised the gelding overraced and consequently did not finish its race off. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Sovereignaire was slow to begin. Kanji laid out rounding the home turn. Zenaida was held up rounding the home turn and shortly after straightening, was disappointed for a run between One Touch and Kanji, both of which shifted ground slightly. Zenaida was then held up for clear running and obliged to race in restricted room from the 200m to the 100m between One Touch and Kanji. Smarty Pants near the 50m was crowded and briefly inconvenienced when One Touch laid in before App T Marshall relieved the pressure. RACE 6 McGrath Estate Agents Handicap 1250m Majeska approaching the winning post, savaged the second placegetter Arise Augustus resulting in its rider T Angland becoming unbalanced and not being able to ride his mount out to the finish for the last few strides of the race. Stable representative Ms H Devlin was told that Majeska must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again. Queenian overraced in the early stages. Passing the 800m, Queenian and Northern Fury came together as Queenian was steadied away from the heels of King Caleb. In the incident, Queenian got its head up and continued to overrace for some distance approaching the 700m. Near the 600m, Queenian was obliged to race in restricted room between Majeska and Rock Temple. In the incident Queenian had to be steadied away from the heels of Rock Temple. Northern Fury when questioned, B Avdulla stated that he obtained a position one off coming to the 600m. He added that when he improved to the inside of King Caleb, which shifted out at that point, his mount had to be steadied a short distance later when King Caleb shifted back in. B Avdulla stated that from this point, the mare, in his opinion, did not appreciate being cluttered up between runners, however was disappointing in its failure to finish off its race. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer M Dale will be asked to report back in the days subsequent. King Caleb App B Loy was questioned regarding his tactics adopted approaching the 600m when he shifted off the back of Arise Augustus and then near the 600m shifted back in behind that runner resulting in Northern Fury being steadied. B Loy stated that his mount was inclined to overrace and while it had been his intention to stay on the back of Arise Augustus, he had no option but to restrain off the heels of that runner which allowed Northern Fury to improve to his inside. B Loy stated that when the pace quickened from the 600m, he shifted back in to follow Arise Augustus. B Loy was told to ensure he exercises care when attempting similar manoeuvres. Rock Temple did not obtain clear running in the straight, was briefly crowded for room near the 150m between Va Va Veni and La Bella Rouge and was not fully tested in the run to the finish.

4 Not Doubtful approaching the 400m had to be severely checked and made contact with the running rail when crowded for room by Queenian, which laid in away from Rock Temple despite the efforts of its rider J Collett. Va Va Veni had to be steadied away from the heels of King Caleb at the entrance to the straight. La Belle Rouge was inclined to lay in over the concluding stages. B Shinn will be spoken to about his riding out of the mare. RACE 7 TAB More Than Just Winning Handicap 1250m Ravi which kicked out behind in the gates, was examined by the Club's Veterinary Officer behind the barriers and passed fit to start. Hesco Gold was slow to begin and badly crowded on jumping between Ravi, which shifted in, and Ocean Tempest, which became unbalanced after being struck on the hindquarter by Hesco Gold. Hesco Gold was held up in the early part of the straight and approaching the 200m, was unable to proceed when held up on the back of Ocean Tempest, which had to be steadied when taken in by Woman In Love. Ocean Tempest had to be steadied at the 200m off the heels of Woman In Love, which shifted in (T Berry). T Berry was advised to exercise more care. B Shinn stated that although the mare had to be steadied when crowded for room in the straight, nonetheless it was disappointing in the failure to finish the race off. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Woman In Love T Berry reported that the mare changed strides on a number of occasions and never felt comfortable throughout the race. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off fore. Trainer Mr G Ryan will be advised to get a veterinary clearance for the mare. Action Button when questioned regarding his tactics adopted on the mare, J Penza stated that it was not his intention to lead but to be in the first five runners. He stated that from his wide barrier, he worked across to sit outside Silversands with the intention of sitting just to that mare's outside, however Action Button commenced to overrace and despite his efforts, he was unable to restrain Action Button. Silversands H Bowman stated that the mare jumped well and he allowed her to roll forward from his favourable draw. He added that his intention was to back the pace off from the 800m and allow the mare to relax in the middle stages, however when Action Button improved to his outside, he was unable to do so and as a result his mount did not finish the race off when taken on in the lead. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr C Waller will be asked to report back on the progress of the mare. Tennessee Hussy overraced in the middle stages when racing tight inside Floral Gold. It was disappointed for a run shortly after straightening when Floral Gold shifted out and was held up for a short distance thereafter. GENERAL: Swab samples were taken from all winners and the following runners: Race 1: Zaboss (2), Lucky Star, Tilly s Waltz, Laugharne. Race 2: Multifacets, Over The Air, Daisy s Joy, Hierarchal. Race 3: Appoint Percy, Eyre Square, Jimarni, Rhodin Drive. Race 4: Bodalay, Art Nouveau. Race 5: Glorious Sinndar, Kanji, Citations, One Touch, Smarty Pant, Now's The Time. Race 6: Pirate Ben, Majeska. Race 7: Daisy Duke, Shutter Bug, Floral Gold, Ravi.
