SJ: If weather is good show jumping will be in an outdoor sand ring. If condition are not ideal it will be in the Indoor Area. (after dressage ends, we will set up jumps in the indoor) Awards: Ribbons 1st - 6th, Prizes for division winners. Other Info: Food & Drinks available on property. Dress attire: formal for dressage & costumes for show jumping if rider wishes!

6 Hunter Classes begin promptly at 8 am, Jumper Classes begin at 9am GENERAL SHOW RULES & INFORMATION for all THREE SHOWS Every class recognized by the Maine Horse Association will be conducted and judged under the current rules of the MHA. ****MHA, MEHJA, NEJA, NHHJA rules can be read in their respective rule books online**** 1. Hunter Breeding Horses/Ponies classes will be conducted and judged under the current rules of the MeHJA. 2. No horse may enter a class unless an entry blank has been completed, fees paid, and number assigned. The management reserves the right to decline any entry & return any entry fees prior to the opening of the show without being liable for compensations. 3. Show Management accepts payments by cash, check, debit or credit cards. 4. Entry fees: $15 per regular class, $20 per medal, stake, championship classes, speciality class entries vary by event. MHA fee $4 per horse/pony. $25 post entry fee per horse/rider combination. Entries close Sunday before each event. 5. Food will be available on the grounds. Lunch break, if any, will be announced. 6. No refunds without note from veterinarian or medical doctor. 7. No dogs allowed on premises unless leashed and kept away from the rings. 8. Warm-ups will not be held in the show ring unless it is a paid warm-up. All other warm ups will be in warm up ring. Hunter Classes begin promptly at 8:00am. Jumper classes will start at 9:00am. 9. Schooling Hunter/Equitation: Open to Junior and Amateur adult exhibitors. 10. Medal Specifications will be available at the secretary s booth. 11. Six ribbons and trophy/money as indicated will be awarded. All prize money will be subtracted from total show bill, if prize covers bill with extra, NEJA will issue a check for the difference. Once handed out, the show s responsibility for the money will end. 12. NEJA, MHA, MEHJA and NHHJA Membership forms will be available at show office. 13. The HUNTER ring is sand, Jumper ring will either be sand or grass. Warm up ring will be sand. 14. Championship and Reserve Championship ribbons will be awarded based on points in respective divisions (no entry fee). Awards will be in Easy Does It, Schooling Hunter, Special Hunter, Children s, Low Hunter, and Thoroughbred Hunter. 15. Proof of current negative coggins and rabies within 1 year is required. Mail with entry or bring to secretary s stand. 16. Championship and Stake Classes: To be eligible, horse (rider in equitation) must have been entered, shown and judged in the class in parenthesis ( ). WARNING Under Maine Law an equine professional has limited liability for an injury or death resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.

15 2019 need to know: All riders and horses do NOT have to be members of NEJA in order to participate in our horse shows and at affiliated horse shows. BUT NEJA Members get year-end points to win year-end awards. As of 2019, all NEJA Members will not pay extra fees such as Ground fee and office fee FOR SCHOOLING SHOWS. Late Fee will still apply if entries are not received by close dates. Become a NEJA member & SAVE MONEY!! Members will have to pay fees for classics and festivals. In 2019 nonmembers will be subjected to a non-member fee. Judges & Stewards for all events will be updated shortly. Information can be found on website or Facebook event page. Windsor Fair Free show will have stricter guild line this year.
