Smith (Chairman), S.P. Fitzgerald & N. Daniels. Riding changes: As Ms. L. Henry was indisposed, Stewards permitted the following rider substitutions: Race 1: Race 2: Race 3: Race 7: K. Chater on Rise Me Up. G. Ryan on Attilius. Ms. K. Chater on Infinitum Et Ultra. E. Kacmaz on Tinmine. Race 1: Maiden Plate 1400m: Destiny is Written change of tactics to be ridden further forward; slow to begin and settled off pace; buffeted shortly after the start between Llamrei and Somoso; bumped with Handful of Aces when endeavouring to shift out on a number of occasions between the 700m and home turn; held up rounding the home turn and bumped with Handful of Aces on several occasions when endeavouring to shift out into clear running; near the 300m, was disappointed for a run between Watta General and Handful of Aces and was then shifted back across the heels of Watta General and clipped the heels of that runner and blundered; steadied near the 150m when disappointed for a run to the inside of Watta General, which laid in and away from Handful of Aces. Oh Oh Sun slow to begin. Rise Me Up raced wide throughout; a post-race veterinary examination did not Suman the Yak raced tight to the inside of Destiny is Written between the 800m and 700m. Val Road Trainer Mr. M. Lunn was advised a warning would be recorded against Val Road, which proved difficult to load; slow to begin; raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages; a post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer Mr. M. Lunn advised Val Road would now leave his stable. Star Catcher Trainer Mr. D. Bush was fined $50 (LR35) for the late declaration of rider G. Ryan; slow to begin. Race 2: 3YO Maiden Plate 1100m: Remember Merv rider M. Cahill was struck in the face by his mount when being legged up. M. Cahill sustained lacerations to his mouth and a bleeding nose but was passed fit to fulfil his engagements; jumped awkwardly and was checked shortly after the start when Attilius jumped awkwardly and shifted out.

2 Skalato Gold slow to begin and was crowded shortly after the start between This Is Livin and Oxford Hill. This Is Livin a post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities. Oxford Hill raced wide throughout. Set the Limit began awkwardly. Tennessee Icestorm began very awkwardly. Trifficleesha overraced in the middle stages and near the 700m was checked after improving onto the heels of Enduring. Race 3: Maiden Handicap 900m: Bit And Bop shifted out and bumped Greenback Boogie on the home turn; when questioned, rider G. Ryan stated his mount began well and settled outside the leader, whereby it travelled for about 600m. He added running down the declined section of the track it failed to respond to his riding and it weakened over the final 200m. He added in his opinion Bit And Bop may suck its tongue back during its races and work and he suggested to connections that they experiment with a tongue tie; a post-race veterinary examination did not Greenback Boogie raced wide throughout; hung out on the home turn. Mighty Danger jumped awkwardly; beaten 24.7 lengths; a post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities; Trainer Mr. G. Lunn was advised Mighty Danger would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. Trainer Mr. G. Lunn advised Mighty Danger would now be retired. Star Class overraced in the middle stages. Bring a Beer Along slow to begin. I m Imogen jumped awkwardly. Infinitum Et Ultra near the 200m, ran in abruptly and crowded Star Class, which was checked. Race 4: Benchmark 60 Handicap 2400m: Beach Road when questioned, rider App. B. McDougall stated his mount overraced throughout the event and when it eventually settled into a rhythm near the 900m, the pace quickened and his mount was unable to improve with the field. He added his mount was not suited by stop and start tempo of the event and the tight turning nature of the Wellington track; a post-race veterinary examination did not Metro Myth blundered on a number of occasions between the 500m and 300m; when questioned, rider G. Ryan stated his mount is one-paced and when the pace quickened near the 900m he was unable to quicken with the field. He added in his opinion Metro Myth performs better on firmer going; a post-race veterinary examination did not Bathurstian when questioned, rider K. Dunbar stated his mount felt tired throughout and he was of the opinion the gelding had come to the end of his preparation; Trainer Mr. P. Theobald advised Bathurstian would now be spelled; a post-race veterinary examination did not

3 Summer Dash late withdrawal at 8.03am due to transport difficulties. Sandy Waters crowded on jumping between Consented and Beach Road. Race 5: Class 3 Handicap 1400m: Street Savvy raced at Rosehill on Saturday 4 th June 2016; underwent a thorough pre-race veterinary examination, including but not limited to lameness, hydration and temperature assessments and was passed fit to start. Underwent a secondary veterinary examination behind the barriers and was passed fit to start. Trainer Mr. D. Jackson was interviewed relative to the frequency of Street Savvy s recent races in that today was the gelding s third start seven days; slow to begin; a post-race veterinary examination did not Lucky Elixir near the 150m and again near the 50m was hampered and very momentarily held up when Hollywood Nell laid out under pressure. Hollywood Nell M. Cahill replaced G. Ryan (overweight). G. Ryan was reprimanded (AR120(b)) as Stewards were cognisant of his exemplary record in that he had only breached AR120(b) on one other occasion in the last seven years. Maldicente slow to begin. Race 6: Benchmark 55 Handicap (Division 2) 900m: The Flash One when questioned, App. Ms. M. Weir stated she had no explanation for the performance of the gelding other than it was most disappointing and weakened in the straight. Trainer Mr. D. Hyde stated he was very disappointed by the performance of The Flash One and it may not have handled the heavy weight today. He undertook to report to the Stewards on The Flash One in the days subsequent to the event but it would be likely he would continue with its preparation; a post-race veterinary examination did not Billy Bent Ear slow to begin. Green for Go a post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities. Burbie late withdrawal at 11.04am acting on veterinary advice. Accessory Diva began awkwardly and crowded shortly after by Scruff s Dream. Scruff s Dream hampered near the 800m when Green for Go hung out; hampered along with Accessory Diva near the 650m when Green for Go hung out again. Spirited Addition Trainer Mr. M. Lunn was struck in the head by the gelding during the pre-parade and sustained a laceration. He was treated by the Ambulance officers. Race 7: Benchmark 55 Handicap (Division 1) 900m: Café Fouquet slow to begin. Blinkin Rockin improved onto the heels of Pickersgill near the 250m and was shifted in to continue into clear running. Ace Lightning raced wide throughout. Miss Nicconi A. Cavallo replaced A. Bullock; raced wide throughout; hung out rounding the home turn. Jar of Hearts late withdrawal at 9.30am acting on veterinary advice.

4 Little Queen ran out near the 100m; a post-race veterinary examination did not Pickersgill crowded near the 50m between Blinkin Rockin and Café Fouquet (App. Ms. M. Weir), which shifted in. App. Ms. M. Weir was reprimanded (AR137(a)). Tillaconi slow to begin. Race 8: Wellington Winter Sprint 1100m: Iwilldoit slow to begin; hung out rounding the home turn. Dunderry when questioned, rider K. Dunbar stated his mount never travelled throughout and felt flat. He added in his opinion Dunderry performs best at Bathurst and he advised that it may be best to step Dunderry up in distance to 1200m or 1300m to allow it to lead more comfortably in its races; a post-race veterinary examination did not Cyclone Andy near the 1000m, was steadied when Grass Cutter was steadied and taken in by Dunderry (K. Dunbar), which shifted in when not clear. K. Dunbar was reprimanded. Grass Cutter raced wide throughout. Bench Star jumped awkwardly; raced ungenerously in the early stages. General: App. B. McDougall was reprimanded (AR92(10)) for failing to produce his apprentice winning rides book. Supplementary report: Bathurst Tuesday 17 th May 2016 Race 6: Benchmark 60 Handicap 2000m: When questioned regarding his riding of Ready Street, rider G. Ryan stated his instructions were to have the horse settle where comfortable, which he had interpreted to be not to bustle the horse early and allow it to find a position. He added bearing those instructions in mind, he anticipated finding a handy position however shortly after the start he was severely crowded and lost ground and ultimately settled further back than he had intended. He added in the early stages, he eased his mount slightly to settle in behind the heels of Consented. He added once he obtained that position, he allowed his mount to settle and travel comfortably in accordance with his instructions which permitted Kiss in the Dark to improve into a position in front of Ready Street. He added on leaving the turn out of the straight, the tempo of the race slackened considerably and he was ultimately obliged to race where his mount had established running as there were runners racing to his immediate outside and he was unable to improve. He added the tempo remained slow throughout the middle stages, which did not suit his mount as it is one paced and has a limited turn of foot. He added the race never quickened until near the 600m and as previously stated his horse s limited turn of foot meant it was unable to quicken with the field. He added near the 400m, he was fleetingly held up when improving between Kadota and Kiss in the Dark though he said a run quickly opened between those runners and he was able to improve. He added on straightening, his mount was quickly outpaced due to his mounts one-paced nature and the fact the race was run at a slow tempo. He further added in the straight, near the 200m a run developed between Paragon and Kalia and while he endeavoured to improve into that run, his mount s limited turn of foot meant it was unable to improve immediately and it was disappointed for that run. He added he then shifted out across the heels of Paragon to improve, though that runner shifted out slightly so he shifted in and bumped heavily with Kalia and eventually obtained clear running. He added Ready Street found the line only fairly. He further added in his opinion, Ready Street is a one dimensional horse that requires a fast tempo for it to perform best and it was unsuited by the slow tempo of the event.
