3 300 PHJ Hunter Classic Entry Fee Classic and Classic: 300 Hunter Classic sponsored by Premier Hunter-Jumpers First round of classic will be second round of corresponding division. Open to all junior and amateur riders who competed in a hunter division at this show. To be scored under the Open Numerical Judging System. To be judged on performance and soundness with manners emphasized. To be eligible, the same horse/rider combination must have competed in the division at the same show. The top 8 horses will return for a second round over a different course. Scores from both rounds will be totaled to determine the placings. Minimum of 8 entries to fill class. 1st 100 2nd-70 3rd-50 4th-35 5th-25 6th-20 Multiple horse/rider combos allowed. Ribbon winners will qualify for finals at October show. 300 PHJ Jumper Classic 300 Jumper Classic sponsored by Premier Hunter-Jumpers Entry Fee 45 Open to all junior and amateur riders. To be eligible, the same horse/ rider combination must have competed in any three jumper classes at this show. To be run under USEF table II. Section 2 (A,B). Riders may stay in for jump off or elect to return at the end of the first round. NLEA and LHJA membership forms available in the horse show office. RULES AND REGULATIONS Schooling: Open schooling is allowed Saturday and Sunday up to 30 min before show and also after the show days as well as Friday evening. No breaks during show, Adds / Scratches : All adds and scratches should be done in the horse show office. No adds or scratches at the gate, please. Awards: 1st 6th place ribbons, awards to 1st place and champion. Rosettes to champion and reserve with classes of at least 2 O/F and 3 U/S riders. 2 riders in all jumper classes. Entries: Entries are due on or before Thursday, August 24. Entries received after the closing date may be charged a 15 late fee. A negative coggins must be presented before numbers will be issued for all horses not boarded at DREC. Class fees are 25 each individual class (except as stated on form) or 65 for all three classes of a division. Changes: Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine classes and/ or divisions and alter courses and do all things deemed necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries. ALL RIDERS mounted on show grounds must have ASTM approved headgear in accordance with current USEF rules. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor and trainer to be familiar with the rules and regulations of USEF, NLEA and LHJA. NLEA & LHJA Riders must be an NLEA and LHJA member in good standing and horses must be recorded in order to earn points towards year end awards. LHJA points will be awarded as follows: 10, 6, 4, 2, 1, 1/2 Ch=20 Res=15 Stalls: Stalls available 45/night or 65/weekend NO ONE MAY RIDE IN ANY CLASS OR SCHOOLING AREA WITHOUT A HARD HAT. WHEN MOUNTED, ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT USEF RULES. Schooling (no lunging) allowed at any time during the show in the new 250 x200 DREC outdoor arena at the South end of the covered ring. PHJ HIGH POINT RIDER Awarded to the junior or amateur rider with the most points in PHJ Circuit Hunter Jumper Shows. Rider must show in at least two shows to be eligible. Points will count for all hunter, jumper, equitation, flat, medal and classic classes. (Add back warm up classes are excluded) Multiple horses are allowed. The rider with the most points on one / all horses to receive award at the Premier Hunter Jumper Show on Oct 22-23, Shows to count for points at DRF are April 8-9, Aug and Oct Awarded at this show! Division will consist of three classes and be judged on equitation: Walk/Trot Hunter U/S, Walk/Trot Horsemanship (Riders may be asked to demonstrate additional horsemanship related tests (USEF equitation tests) and Walk/Trot Equitation O/F (pole on ground). (jump off round class) If rider goes clean in the first round upon an audible signal and without leaving the ring starts the designated jump off course. Least faults, fastest time wins. First round may also be timed making it possible to break the ties of horses with four faults. Class B USEF Table II.2.c (power and speed) Rider must jump first round clean and upon crossing the finish line of the power part continues immediately to the jump off course, the speed part. Time starts as the rider crosses the finish line of the initial course. Class C USEF Table IV.1.1 Optimum Time (optimum time is defined as 4 seconds less than Time Allowed based on 382 yds/min). The horse closest to the optimum time (without going over) & the least faults will prevail. Faults scored under Table II.
