ALIK JULRY - Very little to like on paper and expectations exceeding reality in this class of race 2. ATOLL DANOVER - Delicate soul that has raced very modestly for some time and can be confidently disregarded 3. CLASSIC WAY - Possibly the classiest horse in the race. Finished fourth in the Criterium des 5 Ans before being found wanting in the Prix de l'etoile. On the first line and a leading contender 4. VEGA WIC - Has picked up some small cheques in inferior company recently but not up to the task here 5. UPSALIN DES BAULTS - Occasionally shows his good side but too

2 infrequently to be considered a player 6. ALCESTE DU GOUTIER - Back in business following a lean patch. Breaks from the front but will need to be at his best in order to make the first five 7. CHICAGO BLUES - Good class of horse that won four in a row before being disqualified after a solid effort in the Criterium des 5 Ans. Has a good record going right-handed and from the front line can pull this off 8. CALIN DE MORGE - Hard to fault before being sent for a spell. Made a solid return at Rambouillet and with hind shoes off this time looks capable of going close 9. BALBIR - Has hardly set a foot wrong all year and although stepping up in class should still acquit himself competitively 10. VASCO DE VIETTE - Dependability not his strong suit but won two of his last four when barefoot and looks a respectable first-five chance here 11. VENUS DE BAILLY - Has consistently given her best over recent months. Fourth in the race of reference and must not be underestimated 12. VOLCAN D'OCCAGNES - Nothing noteworthy on his formsheet for the past ten months and not a realistic proposition 13. ATOUT DU LERRE - Pleasing for the most part at present but faces stiff competition here and others preferred 14. UNERO MONTAVAL - Has been a model of consistency for some time. Finished third in the previous stage at Lisieux and should again figure in the thick of things 15. URSA MAJOR - Third in the overall GNT standings but has completely lost her way and can be written off 16. TALLIEN - Delicate but not without merit however four straight sanctions under harness does little to inspire confidence 17. UNIVERS DE DAIDOU - Useful on a good day but failed to show much in his last two and must reaffirm 18. TIGER DANOVER - Won the penultimate GNT race before disappointing at Lisieux. Incurs a 50m penalty this time and can be ruled out The five year-olds appear to have a lock on this race. (7) CHICAGO BLUES has really come into himself this year and regardless of his Criterium des 5 Ans disqualification he could yet prove the horse to beat. The well-regarded (3) CLASSIC WAY was fourth that day and drops back in class with a similar chance of imposing. (8) CALIN DE MORGE has been going good guns lately and his

3 experience of the track will do his chances no disservice. (14) UNERO MONTAVAL gives 25m to the younger generation but he has been flying of late and should not be far off the mark. (10) VASCO DE VIETTE mixes the good with the less good but with shoes off this time can get a look in. 4 Race 2 1. BETWEEN - Seldom lets the side down in this class of race. Well-placed in front and again appears to have a good hand to play 2. VAGUE MIKA - Beginning to get back in shape. Well-beaten third though behind Viens Du Sud at Feurs and will need to find more 3. VIENS DU SUD - Has made good progress in recent months. Finished a solid second at Feurs last time and will be one to note 4. AXIMUS DE GRUSON - Lost his way mid Has not been seen out for the past ten months and can be passed over 5. VADELLE SHEBA - Consistently gives a competitive account in the amateur category. Breaks from the front and on current form looks a serious player 6. AFTER VISAIS - Complicated sort that tends to show more in the claiming division these days and is not easy to like 7. ALIXAN - Enjoying a respectable run in the provinces. Breaks from the front line this time and will have his supporters 8. VANGISKAN SCOTT - Handy dual-purpose trotter that is currently on form and returns to harness racing with a reasonable chance of finishing in the mix 9. VERSUS DAIRPET - Has made no impact on the track for an extended period and can be written off 10. VINGT DEUX JUILLET - Flying for much of the season and although well beaten at Vichy last month can still figure prominently 11. AZUR DAIRPET - Consistently gives a good account in this category. Went close in the professional ranks ten days ago and even from the second row can still have his way 12. VEOH D'HAGUE - Not the most reliable but has won two of his last four. Found wanting at Salon last time but best not to completely overlook 13. ULINE DES LINANS - Useful type that is proven at this level. Goes barefoot here and should be good enough to finish in the money 14. USERIO DE CARVEL - Very effective when he has his mind on the game but unraced for the past three months and will need the outing 15. UNCLE OAKS - Moderate sort that surprised when fifth in an amateur event nine days ago. Is unshod behind this time but still not an obvious choice 16. VICTOR LE FOL - Just his second start since the break. Better under the saddle and has other priorities

5 (11) AZUR DAIRPET has been very hard to knock in recent months and considering his latest effort in better company he will take some beating. He can nonetheless expect to encounter resistance from the ever-consistent (1) BETWEEN who breaks with a 25m head-start. (5) VADELLE SHEBA is another with solid references in the amateur division and in present condition looks a serious player. (7) ALIXAN will not have to give away distance this time and together with the improving (3) VIENS DU SUD look the best minor place prospects. Selections (11) AZUR DAIRPET - (1) BETWEEN - (5) VADELLE SHEBA - (7) ALIXAN - (3) VIENS DU SUD

6 Race 3 1. VIRTUOSE DELO - Pleased in his last two when barefoot and with shoes back off can be assured some support 2. VRAI THEBAD - Has won four of his last five in the amateur division and looks good enough to step up and win this 3. RONALDO GRAD - Decent Italian sort that gets a Gelormini drive on French debut and from the front line looks a player 4. VAS Y SEUL - Last made the frame in December 2016 and the presence of Raffin in the sulky should not be taken as a sign of possible redemption 5. AKILI BUISSONAY - Has shown signs of improvement recently but has no love for Saint-Galmier and can be ruled out 6. ALEX D'ACANTHE - Tends to give a better account of himself in the amateur division and not a priority 7. VICTOIRE DES BOTS - Reassured in a minor event last time out but in this field has too much to find 8. VENDREDI SOIR - Pleased earlier in the summer but form has since regressed and unlikely to influence the outcome 9. AURIVERDE - Delicate but not without merit. Reassured at Cavaillon and with shoes off this time could prove something of a spoiler 10. ANANDA - Enjoying a productive run of form and although on the second line should still be able to get a look in 11. ADRIANO ROANNAIS - Respectable sort when unshod but shoes on for his comeback and can be passed over 12. VIKING VERDERIE - In his category and at ease going right-handed but tends to race better on turf and more a minor place chance here 13. PACO RABANNE - Has been impressive under the saddle in France but has considerable ability in this code too and can play a leading role 14. ACASGIU MAG - Reliability not his strong suit and from the second line will have his work cut out 15. VEZAC DUOPHI - Completely off the boil all year and will once again have nothing to offer (2) VRAI THEBAD has picked up four wins in his last five in the amateur division and with a 25m advantage this time could impose on his return to the professional ranks. (13) PACO RABANNE has been seen just the once under

7 harness in France but he has nothing to prove and despite the penalty looks competitively well in. Compatriot (3) RONALDO GRAD makes his debut on French soil but will be reined by a top driver and is unlikely to disappoint. (9) AURIVERDE has just squeezed into the front line and with application can make a big impact. Selections (2) VRAI THEBAD - (13) PACO RABANNE - (3) RONALDO GRAD - (9) AURIVERDE

8 Race 4 1. CARA D'OCCAGNES - Useful in ridden competition. Encouraged at Strasbourg recently and will have her supporters 2. CRACK DE BAS - Moderate type that has looked ordinary for some time and has no realistic chance 3. COYOTE DU CAUX - Enjoyed something of a renaissance over the summer. Beat some good horses at La Soie last time and comes here fresh and with a legitimate place chance 4. COME ON DU VALLON - Winner of his last two at the venue and most recently in good order in a Class D. Well-positioned in front and a major player 5. BETTY PENGUY - Delicate but has ample ability. Won under harness on comeback earlier in the month and if form transitions she should be able to make the most of the front line start 6. BOLERO JULRY - Pleasing under harness at present but yet to show any aptitude for this discipline and can be ruled out 7. BALTIC SEHLAN - Gives a good account for the most part with hind shoes off but has just one race under his belt and others preferred this time 8. BRUME DE LA BRISE - Has been enjoying a productive run in this code for some months but steps up in class and unlikely to shake things up 9. COMETE BLEUE - Solid dual-purpose mare that has more than once gone close in recent months and can expect to be well-supported 10. BAMAKA DU PATURAL - First start under the saddle since 2015 and although in decent shape still faces a stiff test 11. VEGAN NELGER - Blows hot and cold but won his last ridden race nicely and although on the second line can still make his presence felt 12. VALSE MANISTE - Surprised when third in a Class E at Feurs nine days ago but on the back line this time and chances limited 13. VITTORIO DU RIL - Not much to like on his formsheet this year and can be confidently disregarded 14. VANILLE DE GLYERE - In the frame in three of her last four under harness and if form transitions she could get a look in 15. BRUME DE GENETINE - Tricky type making her ridden debut but gets an Eric Raffin ride and will be worth watching 16. VIF DU BOIS JARRET - Surprised in an amateur event under harness here early October but has done nothing noteworthy in this code for some time and can be passed over

BALANTINE MAX - Very hard to knock in this branch of the business and in spite of the handicap is still the horse to beat (17) BALANTINE MAX has nothing to prove at this level of competition and on current form looks to have the measure of the field. (5) BETTY PENGUY may not be everyone's cup of tea but she won solidly on comeback under harness and the 25m advantage stands her in good stead. (4) COME ON DU VALLON is back at the top of her game and the nature of his recent course and distance victory augurs well for his chances. (3) COYOTE DU CAUX and (9) COMETE BLEUE recaptured form over the summer and look the best of the rest. 10 Race 5 1. BELLA NOVA - Not at her most productive since returning to competition. Well beaten at Moulins last time but is barefoot for the occasion and looks a player 2. BALOISE DU CEHEM - Occasionally shows her good side but too infrequently of late to be considered dangerous 3. BARAKA BRIONNAISE - Regularly demonstrates a lack of discipline but impressive at Moulins recently and with stride in check should make the most of her front line start 4. BILL BONNETIERE - Erratic but not short of ability. Would have won last time had he not lost his action. Is unshod behind this time which should prove key to his rehabilitation. Claim 5. BEST DE LA PIERRE - Back in the game following some disappointing performances. Beat Baraka Brionnaise at Moulins last time when 25m better but and will struggle to repeat 6. BEAUTIFUL DU FOSSE - Solid sort that always gives his best. Pleased in both return races and with shoes off this time can make a big impact starting from the first line 7. BEST STAR - Pleased in a claimer on comeback last month but modest at Chartres and others preferred 8. BARCA DE VANDEL - Returned to winning ways late September and although quickly sanctioned at Caen next time must still be afforded respect 9. BREIL PIERJI - Regularly in the action when applied. Won his last race at the venue but the extra distance may prove too much this time 10. BOLERO DU SABLIER - Respectable but not the most reliable. Has a decent record here and should have a good hand to play 11. BIROSKA - Delicate but respectable trotter. Has never produced the goods going right-handed though and not in the reckoning 12. BONHEUR D'ANY - Enjoyed a good run before disappointing at Vincennes. Not disgraced at Laval earlier this month and should figure prominently 13. BOLERO BLEU - Talented but very complicated individual. Has not been seen out since late April though and will need the race 14. BEA DARLING - Regularly acquits herself honestly. Has finished no closer than fifth in last four starts but can still pick up a small cheque 15. BALADE DANOVER - Gives a good account for the most part. Fell foul of the stewards at Mauquenchy last time but can make amends 16. BIG FOX - Not once out of the first five for the past three months. Steps up in class but will have his supporters

11 When barefoot for the first time (4) BILL BONNETIERE would have won comfortably at Mauquenchy last month had he managed to stay in stride. He gets a second chance here and from the front line can redeem himself. Barring his recent Vincennes blip (12) BONHEUR D'ANY has enjoyed a fine run of late and although 25m worse off can still apply the pressure. (10) BOLERO DU SABLIER is proven in this class of event and should be good enough to make the first three. (8) BARCA DE VANDEL's form is not in doubt and if applied can put on a good show. 12 Race 6 1. EDELWEISSIMA - Just three races under her belt but won two of them. Unraced for 4.5 months and stepping up in class but still not to be ignored 2. EXQUISE MARCEAUX - Began to come good late spring before being sent for a spell. Returned last month with a comfortable win and on similar form can make a good go of this 3. EMILIE MARCEAUX - Can prove a handful but otherwise a decent filly. Acquitted herself well in a Class D last time and steps up with legitimate ambition 4. ECLAIR DE L'ETANG - Regularly in the thick of things and latterly runner-up to Eole Emess in the ridden code. In good company but should still acquit himself competitively 5. ECLAT DU VERGER - Exceptional since his first steps on the track. Comfortable winner of his last two and starting from the front can only enhance his already good prospects 6. EOLE EMESS - Turned a corner since changing codes. Won under the saddle first race back and returns to harness racing with the confidence of connections. One to note 7. ELAN DE DOMPIERRE - Ended last term on a high note but no closer than fifth from four starts since and can be passed over 8. ENGALA DE LOU - Not always the most rewarding of trotters. Pleased in an Enghien claimer last time but in this company will need to be at her best 9. ECLAT DES NOIX - Lightly-raced but has looked a serious sort so far. Confirmed at the venue and with stride in check can make a big impact from the front row 10. EROS DU FOSSE - Respectable for the most part. Pleased on comeback at Feurs and although racing over longer this time can still make the frame 11. EPICE LIGERIENNE - Gives a good account for the most part. Not at her ease last time but could well finish in the mix on this occasion 12. EPIC JULRY - Won four of the seven races he has finished. Did not have the best of luck at Vincennes last time but should show improvement (5) ECLAT DU VERGER has been particularly impressive since his first steps on the track and looks eminently capable of achieving the hat-trick. (9) ECLAT DES NOIX has also looked a serious horse in the making - he escapes the penalty and on level terms will be no pushover. (10) EROS DU FOSSE left a good impression at Feurs nine days ago and given the stable's form should be good enough to challenge for a place in the frame. (12) EPIC JULRY rarely lets the

14 Race 7 1. DAKARINE DU PIC - Moderate filly and not currently at her best. In considerably better company here and can be ruled out 2. DOUCEUR EXTREME - Seldom disappoints when she can keep her action together. Unplaced last time but finished well and can expect to generate interest 3. DEAL DES MARCEAUX - Handy on a good day but has just one race in him since the break and others preferred this time 4. DIONYSOS LA COUY - Gives a decent account for the most part. Well-placed in front but will still need to find more 5. DOUBLE IMPACT - On a fine run of form for past four months. Failed to fire at Feurs last time but with different tactics can get a look in 6. DRILLING GRIFF - Last seen in the frame in a claimer late June and no realistic chance 7. DESERT STYLE - Serious colt that is confirmed over track and trip. Made a solid comeback last month and with hind shoes off for the occasion should figure prominently 8. DAKOTA WINNER - Delicate type but has ample ability. Came close here earlier in the month and although stepping up in class breaks from the front and on good behaviour can play an important role 9. DIX-HUIT BRUMAIRE - Gives a good account for the most part when barefoot. Unlucky last time but if applied can make his presence felt 10. DREAM BACK - Has hardly set a foot wrong since returning to competition. Eric Raffin in the hot seat this time and despite the penalty can still impose 11. DIMITRIA GRIFF - Has finished in the fame just once in the last 7.5 months and looks to have too much to do 12. DROP DES DURIEZ - Very faithful campaigner that has a good record at the venue. Pleased behind Dixit Danica at La Soie last time and with stride in check can make a big impact 13. DINO DE JILME - By far the richest horse in the race but tends to show more under the saddle and the 50m handicap does him no favours (10) DREAM BACK has done nothing but impress in all four since the break. He benefits from an Eric Raffin drive and despite breaking from the second line still looks the pick. (12) DROP DES DURIEZ however is remarkably consistent when behaved and if he can keep his action together should give the favourite a run for his money. (8) DAKOTA WINNER has performed better without hind shoes and a

15 repeat of his latest effort here should assure him a decent cheque. The hardy (7) DESERT STYLE pleased on return last month - he goes unshod behind this time and from the front row can give this a good go. Selections (10) DREAM BACK - (12) DROP DES DURIEZ - (8) DAKOTA WINNER - (7) DESERT STYLE

16 Race 8 1. CRACK DES NOUETTES - Began to come good late summer but foundered when stepped up in class and not a realistic proposition 2. CALESKA D'HAGUE - Left a good impression at La Soie last month when unshod behind for the first time. Same formula here and worth monitoring 3. CHIPEUR CHAMP - Has pleased for the most part of late. Breaks from the front and with application should not be too far from the action 4. CALL ME NOW - Has finished no closer than fourth from six this term. Remains shod and others preferred 5. CLIMAX DE BAPRE - Boasts a good record at the venue. Finished runner-up to Czar Du Vaal early this month and from the front line can again make his presence felt 6. CASDAR DU SCION - Mixes the good with the less good but confirmed going clockwise. Winner of two of his last four and must be afforded respect 7. COSTA JULRY - Dependability not her strong suit and no great fan of Saint- Galmier. Disregard 8. CHERIE FOLLE - Not always the most reliable but finished a place behind Cabalera at Vincennes on penultimate start and should apply the pressure if he can reproduce that effort 9. CESARIO BELLO - Very serious sort when racing right-handed. Caught the eye at Lisieux recently and on similar form can go close 10. CACHOU DES PUYS - Blows hot and cold but currently in good shape. Was not given a hard prep and comes here with a legitimate place chance 11. CABALERA - Delicate but otherwise regularly in the thick of things. Put in two good efforts recently and if behaved should be able to win this 12. CZAR DU VAAL - Has made very good progress over past three months. Won two of her last three and comes here fresh with every chance of finishing in the money (11) CABALERA has been in cracking form recently and can expect to receive the lion's share of support. She will however be pitted against the in-form (9) CESARIO BELLO whose recent Lisieux performance did not go unnoticed. (8) CHERIE FOLLE was not far behind the favourite at Vincennes last month and can make the frame if still in similar shape. After a brace of fine efforts at Vichy (10) CACHOU DES PUYS was given an easy prep at Angouleme and looks to be in with a decent shout.

LOUBLUE - Sliding down the handicap at the moment but needs to improve on recent form 2. MAPAONI - Still a maiden after eleven career starts but not without a chance in this company 3. COUNTRY NEVEZ - Has had several placed efforts this year and is on a fair mark at present 4. ONE DIAMOND - Third to La Belle Etoile in a Class G handicap at Marseille Borely this month. Place prospects 5. LITTLE POWER - Disappointing at Le Mans last time out after a decent effort at Pornichet in August 6. MON P'TIT LU - Well beaten fifth of ten in a Class G handicap at Pompadour last time out in August 7. CHARLIE'S DREAM - Won a Class G handicap here on the turf in July Poor run at Compiegne last month 8. KHENTYKHETY - Decent fourth on the sand at Chantilly earlier this month. Not without a chance 9. TALKIN'BLUES - Unplaced in a Class G handicap at Nort-Sur-Erdre ten days ago and likely to find a few too good today 10. GREEN SAGA - Just three wins from one hundred and four starts and not recommended today 11. NUSU NUSU - A couple of placed efforts this year and could just run in to a place today 12. BILAPERFECTA - Unplaced in a Class E race at Dinan last time out in August. Plenty to do here 13. SOLETZIG - Fourth to Bliss In The City in a Class E race at Nancy last month. Can be in the mix 14. GARINSHA - Just one win from sixty seven career starts but has place

19 prospects in a poor race 15. GLASCLUNE - Unplaced in a Class G handicap at Lyon Parilly last month and hard to recommend today 16. YOSHA - Eight to Dakar Eleven in a Class G handicap at Saint-Cloud last month. Tough test today (13) SOLETZIG finished fourth to Bliss In The City in a Class E race at Nancy last month. That is decent form in the context of this race and with the assistance of Soumillon in the saddle today she can record her fifth career success today. (8) KHENTYKHETY and (7) CHARLIE'S DREAM are dangers to the selection. (3) COUNTRY NEVEZ and (4) ONE DIAMOND are next best. 20 Race 2 1. A QUIET MAN - Third of four To Glorious Journey in a Group Three race at Saint-Cloud last month. Respected dropped in class here 2. WARREN - Has been disappointing in three runs since winning a maiden on his debut here in May 3. YORI - Well beaten seventh in a Listed race at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Not without a chance here 4. ELUSIVE SUNDAY - Placed in both career starts at Mont-De-Marsan and Maisons-Laffitte. Can improve 5. CRISTOT - Decent effort when second to Arrogant in a maiden at Craon last month. More required here 6. MARVELLOUS NIGHT - Second to Mister Five Euros in a Class 2 race at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Can be in the mix (1) A QUIET MAN is dropped in class here today after a decent effort behind Glorious Journey in a Group Three race last month. He won a maiden here over course and distance in August and looks the one to beat in the opener. (4) ELUSIVE SUNDAY looks a progressive type and must also be respected. 21 Race 3 1. SENOVILLE - Second to Valle Inclan in a claimer at Saint-Cloud last time out. Likely to be involved here 2. HURRICANE LIGHT - Has won two of his three career starts including a claimer at Compiegne this month. Can be in the mix 3. ZONE REGARD - Unplaced in a Class 2 race at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Tough test here 4. PALYA - Has some decent form in claimers and handicaps but might find a few too good today 5. SUPERGIRL - Sixth to Lamchope in a claimer at Fontainebleau last time out. Needs to improve on that 6. ARIA LAFORLONGEUSE - Sixth of eight to Massina in a maiden at Maisons- Laffitte last time out. Place prospects 7. CONTROVERSIAL LADY - Fifth to Valle Inclan in a claimer at Saint-Cloud last time out. More required today 8. HOQUILEBO - Unplaced in a handicap at Saint-Cloud last month and needs to improve from that 9. MONEY SISTER - A close third to Lili Du Sud in a claimer here in early August. Not ruled out today 10. VALHALA - Third to So Sora in a handicap at Maisons-Laffitte last month. Place prospects today 11. BELGRANO - A couple of fair placed efforts during the Summer but in poor form lately (1) SENOVILLE won a maiden at Mont-De-Marsan last month before finishing second to Valle Inclan in a claimer at Saint-Cloud last time out. He had a couple of decent efforts here this Summer and can record his second career success today. (2) HURRICANE LIGHT has won two from three so far and cannot be discounted today. 22 Race 4 1. PRONTAMENTE - Won a maiden race at Saint-Cloud last month. Likely to improve but a big step up in class 2. MISS SIENNA - Well beaten in a Class 1 race at Chantilly last month.
