3 2015 Finals Class Descriptions Lead Line Pleasure Open to riders eight (8) years of age and younger. Leaders and side walkers must be over the age of fourteen (14) and formal dress is suggested. To be judged on suitability of pony and rider at the walk and trot. Entry fee: $25.00 Trophy and ten (10) ribbons Lead Line Equitation Open to riders eight (8) years of age and younger. Leaders and side walkers must be over the age of fourteen (14) and formal dress is suggested. To be judged on equitation at walk and trot. Entry fee: $25.00 Trophy and ten (10) ribbons Walk-Trot Pleasure Open to riders ten (10) years of age and younger. Riders may not have cantered or loped at any rated show. To be judged on suitability of pony and rider at walk and trot. Entry fee: $25.00 Trophy and ten (10) ribbons Walk-Trot Equitation Open to riders ten (10) years of age and younger. Points accumulated at shows will count towards Year End award. Braiding not required. Trophy and six (6) ribbons Eaton Berube Amateur Adult Equitation Classic - Fences not to exceed 2 6. Open to any amateur adult rider that has shown in any NHHJA equitation over fences class with fence heights between 2 3 and 2 9. Scores to be announced. Top four riders will return for testing. Points accumulated at shows will count towards Year End Award. Braiding not required. Trophy and six (6) ribbons $ Jumper Classic Open to any NHHJA member in good standing who has shown in at least one (1) jumper class at any NHHJA show throughout the 2015 season. Riders will be required to perform over a minimum of eight (8) fences with at least one change of direction. 25% of the class will be called back for testing. USEF tests 1-8. Fence heights not to exceed 2 6. NH Pony Medal Junior riders must have qualified (accumulated 12 or more points in 2015) for the class in order to compete at the Finals. 5 Equitation Under 15 Open to Junior riders under 15 years of age that are showing in the NH Junior Medal class at the 2015 NH Finals. Fence heights not to exceed 2 9. To be shown over a course with a minimum of eight (8) fences. Riders may not cross enter into any other equitation class at the 2015 NH Finals. Trophy, and eight (8) ribbons Equitation Open to Junior riders ages who are showing in the NH Junior Medal class at the 2015 NH Finals. Fence heights not to exceed 3. To be shown over a course with a minimum of eight (8) fences. Riders may not cross enter into any other equitation class at the 2015 NH Finals. Trophy, and eight (8) ribbons NH Junior Medal - Junior riders must have qualified (accumulated 12 or more points in 2015) for the class in order to compete at the Finals. Riders will be required to perform over a minimum of eight (8) fences with at least one change of direction. 25% of the class will be called back for testing. USEF tests Fence heights not to exceed 3. NH Team Challenge Open to all 2015 NHHJA members in good standing. Each entrant will be assigned a team. Each team will collectively complete a written horsemanship exam. Each individual team member will show over an equitation course at respective heights: 18 riders to go first and 2 3 riders to follow. Individual scores will be tallied (lowest score dropped) for each team. Exam scores will be added to the jumping tally to determine final placing. Entry fee: $35.00/rider Team ribbons through 10th place Pony Hunter Pleasure Championship Open to all ponies (14.2 hands and under) of hunter type ordinarily used for pleasure purposes with no limitations to status of rider. To be judged on performance, manners, quality, presence, suitability, and soundness. Horse Hunter Pleasure Championship Open to horses (over 14.2 hands) of hunter type ordinarily used for pleasure purposes with no limitations to status of rider. To be judged on performance, manners, quality, presence, suitability, and soundness. 18 Novice Equitation Open to junior and amateur riders who are showing in the NH 18 Novice Medal class at the 2015 NH Finals. Riders must not have previously shown over fences exceeding 18. Fence heights not to exceed 18. NH 18 Novice Medal Junior and amateur riders must have qualified (accumulated 12 or more points in 2015) for the class in order to compete at the Finals. Riders will be required to perform over a minimum of eight (8) fences with at least one change of direction. 25% of the class will be called back for testing. USEF tests 1-8. Fence heights not to exceed Open Hunter Open to any NHHJA member in good standing who has competed in any NHHJA Hunter division throughout the 2015 show season with fence heights not exceeding 18. Riders to show over a minimum of eight (8) fences. Fence heights not to exceed 18. Horse/rider combination may only show in one open hunter class at the 2015 NH Finals.
6 $ Hunter Classic This classic is in honor of French Fry fond friend of the Hirsch Family. The top 12 horse and rider combinations from the Short Stirrup and Suitable Hunter divisions qualify. Horse and rider combinations may not have previously shown over fences exceeding 18 at any rated show. Fence heights not to exceed 18. Top 10 riders after first round to return for a handy hunter round. Entry fee: $50.00 Prize money: $100, $60, $25, $ Open Hunter Open to any NHHJA member in good standing who has competed in any Hunter division at a 2015 NHHJA show. Riders to show over a minimum of eight (8) fences. Fence heights not to exceed 2 3. Horse/rider combination may only show in one open hunter class at the 2015 NH Finals. $ Hunter Classic The top 12 horse and rider combinations from the Modified Junior & Modified Adult divisions qualify. Fence heights not to exceed 2 3. Top 10 riders after first round to return for a handy hunter round. Entry fee: $50.00 Prize money: $100, $60, $25, $ Open Pony Hunter Open to any NHHJA member in good standing who has competed in the Children s Pony Hunter or Working Pony Hunter division at a 2015 NHHJA show. Riders to show over a minimum of eight (8) fences. Fence heights not to exceed 2 for small/medium ponies and 2 6 for large ponies. Horse/rider combination may only show in one open hunter class at the 2015 NH Finals. $200 Pony Hunter Classic This classic is in memory of Different Drummer Farm s champion large pony, Twice As Nice. The top 12 horse and rider combinations from the Children s Pony Hunter & Working Pony Hunter divisions qualify. Riders to show over a minimum of eight (8) fences. Fence heights 2 for small/medium ponies and 2 6 for large ponies. Top 10 riders after first round to return for a handy hunter round. Entry fee: $50.00 Prize money: $100, $60, $25, $ Open Hunter Open to any NHHJA member in good standing who has competed in any Hunter division at a 2015 NHHJA show. Riders to show over a minimum of eight (8) fences. Fence heights not to exceed 2 6. Horse/rider combination may only show in one open hunter class at the 2015 NH Finals. $ Hunter Classic Class held in memoriam of NHHJA s good friend, Polly Murphy. 9 NH EQUITATION & HUNTER FINALS Show Information Horses are allowed on the show grounds no earlier than 8:00AM on Friday, October 2 Horses must be off the show grounds 1 hour after the show concludes on Sunday, October 4 Show starts promptly at 1:00PM on Friday and 8:00AM on Saturday & Sunday. Ticketed warm-ups are available daily. Please see the Timetable for specific times and fence heights. All entries accepted after September 28 will be charged a post entry fee of $30.00/entry Post entries will be accepted if room allows. Limited stabling - assigned on a first come, first serve basis and on a 3 to 1 ratio (horses to feed/tack stalls). Stalls are $ each for the three days if payment is sent in with Stall Form. Stalls increase to $ each for the three days if charged to entry form. Any damage done to tent stalls will result in a $ charge to horse s owner or occupant of that particular stall(s). No refunds on stalls, regardless if a doctor s or veterinary note is presented and participant is unable to show. NHHJA management reserves the right to limit entries or cancel any class, section or division, to change, to add a dotted line, to cancel or combine any unfilled classes, or to reschedule classes, change rings or change specifications in jumper classes due to time constraints.
