Mr Eustace was advised that, in accordance with Racing NSW protocols for orthopaedic injuries, appropriate veterinary clearances would be required prior to Sweet And Speedy barrier trialling to the satisfaction of the Stewards. ROSEHILL TRACKWORK Thursday 30 July 2015 You Da One trainer Mr G Ryan reported that the mare bled for the second time during trackwork. Mr Ryan was advised that You Da One would now be banned from racing in Australia forever in accordance with the provisions of AR53A(5). CANTERBURY PARK Wednesday 29 July 2015 Race 3: McGrath Estate Agents Plate 1250m Russet trainer G Portelli reported the gelding had pulled up well and indicated, in his view, was not suited by the soft track conditions. Race 6: TAB Rewards Handicap 1550m Sweet Kiss co-trainer Ms M Turner reported an endoscopic examination of the mare had not revealed any abnormalities, however, had now been spelled. RACE 1: The Tradie Magazine Handicap 1100m Zoutenant crowded on jumping by Shacked Up, which shifted out. Near the 700m Zoutenant was crowded when Cheeky Babe (T Berry) shifted in. As a result of the contact Cheeky Babe became unbalanced behind. T Berry was told to exercise care. Tempt Me Not inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. Cheeky Babe when questioned concerning the performance, T Berry stated the filly sweated up in the parade and raced flatly. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr D Pfieffer concurred with the views of T Berry that the filly had sweated up before the event and attributed this to today's disappointing performance. Mr

2 ROSE Pfieffer added that Cheeky Babe had pleased the stable in the lead up to the event but, in light of today's performance, would now be spelled. Shacked Up rider B Avdulla stated the filly pulled hard in the run and, as a consequence, was left without a finishing effort. RACE 2: Structaflor Yellowtongue Plate 1400m More Than Fabulous overraced in the middle stages. Wudang Mountain got its head up and overraced in the middle stages. After being held up, was disappointed for a run between Kimberley Star and Land's End approaching the 200m. RACE 3: Hume Doors & Timber Handicap 1400m Reply Churlish jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Shortly after the start was hampered when Mardi shifted in. Nisroc slow to begin. When questioned, S Clipperton stated that the moderate tempo did not suit the mare, which was inclined to overrace. He added, as Nisroc was racing first up today, its condition appeared to give out over the final 200m. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Mardi passing the 1000m had to be steadied off the heels of Aerobar. Sense And Reason held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. Steadied to come to the outside of the heels of Nisroc to continue into clear running leaving the 300m Berrimilla for some distance approaching the 200m was steadied when disappointed for a run between Aerobar and Reply Churlish, which laid out. Queen Of Sheba near the 150m had to be steadied when Mardi shifted out under pressure. RACE 4: The Bisley Workwear Contest 1900m Sir Mako trainer Mr C Waller and stable manager Mr L Prior were questioned concerning the gelding being nominated and accepting for this event and whether such nomination and acceptance was designed to influence the weight particularly given to Marenostro. Mr Waller stated that Sir Mako was actually nominated on Wednesday, 22 July 2015, prior to its disappointing run at Canterbury on 25 July He said that there was no suitable staying races programmed in New South Wales prior to the Wyong Cup on 4 September 2015 and, therefore, he accepted with Sir Mako in this event and notified claiming apprentice Rory Hutchings as the rider. He added that he made a decision to scratch Sir Mako, which he described as a winter horse, on the afternoon of Wednesday, 29 July 2015, when an inspection of the Rosehill track saw improvement in that surface. He, therefore, opted to send Sir Mako, together with Danchai and Reigning to Melbourne at 8pm on the Wednesday night to compete in a 2500m event at Mooney Valley. Mr Waller stated that ideally he did not wish to have a total of six horses in two staying races in Melbourne, however, with the weather forecast for Sydney being fine, he decided against backing up Sir Mako over 1900m in preference to running it on a somewhat similar surface over 2500m at Mooney Valley. He added that Sir Mako had previously won on a heavy surface on a seven day backup involving similar distances. The explanation of Mr Waller was accepted, however, he was told to be mindful of the requirements of AR68A, particularly as his stable has a large pool of stayers.

3 3 Zayam at the 1000m became unbalanced, shifted in and struck the running rail. Artibai briefly held up near the 200m, before taking a narrow run between Zayam and Collar. RACE 5: Unbreakable Hilux Jockey Celebration Day Handicap 1300m Jacakaizane approaching the first turn crowded by Adorabeel (S Clipperton), which had a tendency to lay in. S Clipperton was told to give more room in similar circumstances. Turbulent Jet held up and unable to improve until approaching the 250m. Idance rider T Berry stated his mount knuckled over on jumping and got further back than he had intended. He added, approaching the first turn, when the pace slackened Idance got up on the heels of Coolring and again had to check off that runner's heels when it struck interference near the 800m. T Berry added that Idance then did not finish its race off. A postrace veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have quartered it's off fore-heel. Coolring J McDonald, rider of Countryman, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he permitted his mount to shift in near the 900m when insufficiently clear of Coolring, resulting in Coolring losing its running and becoming badly unbalanced. J McDonald's licence to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Sunday, 9 August 2015 and to expire on Wednesday, 19 August 2015, on which day he may ride. Rider B Avdulla stated that, after striking interference near the 900m, the gelding never balanced up and did not finish its race off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying a poor post-race recovery and to be coughing. Trainer Mr B Baker was advised he would be required to provide a veterinary clearance, including an endoscopic examination, prior to the gelding racing again. Centre Pivot rider B Shinn could offer no explanation for the performance of the gelding, other than he may have positioned it a little too close to the lead. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Stable representative Mr P Robl agreed with B Shinn that the stable were of the opinion that, first up, the gelding had been ridden a bit too close to the lead over the 1300m journey, however, were disappointed with the performance. He undertook to report back on the results of a full vet check to be conducted on Monday, 3 August RACE 6: The Paslode Winter Challenge (Listed) 1500m Noela's Choice rider App. R Bayliss stated that the mare raced flatly and may have come to the end of its preparation. Stable representative Mr D Eustace stated that the mare is more effective on rain affected going, however, having regard to today's performance, the stable was of the view it had come to the end of its preparation and will now be spelled. Mr Eustace was also advised of his obligation to inform the Stewards of any change in riding tactics no later than 30 minutes prior to the running of each race in accordance with the provisions of AR135A. RACE 7: Selleys Handicap 1100m Onerous jumped in at the start and bumped Lion Couchant. After being held up, had to be checked off the heels of the weakening Senta De Noche and at the 200m shifted in and hampered Pro Consul, which also was badly held up for a run.

4 ROSE Lion Couchant bumped by Onerous on jumping. Near the 150m was bumped on the hindquarter by Terra Amata and became unbalanced. Terra Amata at the 250m, after being held up, was disappointed for a run between Lion Couchant and Orujo, which shifted in away from Senta De Noche, which was hanging in under pressure. Was then unable to be fully tested for the remainder of the event. Pro Consul after being held up in the early part of the straight, was hampered passing the 200m. Dupe 'Em when questioned concerning his riding in the early part of the straight, G Schofield, stated that when he saw Onerous hanging out he shifted in to follow that runner but, in retrospect, agreed with the Stewards he would have been far better served remaining racing on the back of Cosmic Cameo and then coming to the outside at the earliest opportunity. Orujo when questioned concerning the performance of the gelding, J McDonald stated that he had to make too much use of his mount from the wide barrier to try and cross early and, after being caught wide without cover in the middle stages, failed to finish the race off. A postrace veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying a poor post-race recovery. RACE 8: Weathertex Handicap 1400m Baldovino hampered when Golden Falls shifted out at the start. Grande Punto - hampered when Golden Falls shifted out at the start. Scratch Me Lucky came together with Golden Falls on straightening. Golden Falls came together with Scratch Me Lucky on straightening. For some distance in the early part of the straight was held up on the heels of Grande Punto, which was inclined to shift ground. Dance Of Heroes was inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. Vite Loni held up in the early part of the straight. Dragon Flyer rider B Avdulla stated that he was disappointed with the way that the gelding responded when placed under pressure in the straight and said he was of the view that Dragon Flyer is best suited when able to make a sustained run to the finish. He added that Dragon Flyer may be better suited on a firmer track. GENERAL: Swab samples were taken from all winners and the following runners: Race 1: Tempt Me Not, Shacked Up, Cheeky Babe, Beau Hoffa, Zoutenant. Race 2: Wudang Mountain, Man Of Choice, More Than Fabulous, Exit Only, Cracklin'Rosie, Land's End. Race 3: Nisroc, Queen Of Sheba, Sense And Reason. Race 4: Collar, Zayam, Artibai. Race 5: Howmuchdoyouloveme, Centre Pivot, Adorabeel, Fine Bubbles, Turbulent Jet, Idance. Race 6: Rugged Cross, Wouldnt It Be Nice, Disclaimer, Great Esteem.

5 Race 7: Terra Amata, Valid Contract, Bold Circle, Lion Couchant, Pro Consul, Onerous, Inz'n'out.
