AGGREGATE CHAMPIONSHIPS The selection of Competitive Preliminary, Novice, Elementary, Medium, Advanced and FEI Champions and Youth Rider Champions will be made using the ranking points system see current EA Rules for Dressage. Place-getters in each event will receive points for their placing eg 30 for first, 29 for second etc. The total number of points at each level for each horse will be added and the horse with the highest number of points will become the Champion for that level. Where there is an equality of points, the Champion will be the horse with the highest aggregate % at that level. To be the FEI champion the horse must compete in two FEI classes and the appropriate freestyle for its level (see starting possibilities in the current EA Rules for Dressage). The selection of the Pony Champion will be made by combining the performances of consecutive level classes (either Preliminary and Novice or Novice and Elementary or Elementary and Medium etc) and using the ranking points system as per the EA Rules for Dressage. Where there is an equality of points, the Championship will be decided according to percentages. Amateur Owner-Riders (AOR) must nominate as AOR when entering. You will be flagged as an AOR rider, however will compete with others in your nominated event. Separate Championship and ribbons/rosettes will be awarded to AORs for the aggregate of each EA level and overall FEI Champion. The selection of the AOR Champions at Preliminary, Novice, Elementary, Medium and Advanced will be made using a separate ranking points system for declared AOR in each competition, using the current Equestrian Australia Rules for Dressage as a guide. AOR ranking in each event will be allocated points for their placing eg 30 for 1 st, 29 for 2 nd etc. The total number of points at each level for each horse will be added and the horse with the highest number of points will be the Champion for that level. Where there is an equality of points, the Champion will be the horse with the highest aggregate percentage at that level. NOTE: no AOR for freestyles. The FEI AOR Champion will be based on an aggregate of two FEI levels AND appropriate freestyle, using the same points system. To be the AOR FEI Champion, the horse must compete in two FEI Classes and the appropriate freestyle for its level (see starting possibilities in rule within the current Equestrian Australia Rules for Dressage.) Interschool riders must nominate as Interschool when entering. You will be flagged as an Interschool rider, however will compete with others in your nominated event.
