Race 2 - Strathmore Community Bank Country Cup metres: Mihany - shifted out shortly after the start and inconvenienced Hell On Earth. Rider Regan Bay stated the gelding would be better suited on a firmer track. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Sandhill Warrior - laid out rounding the home turn. Rider Paul Gatt could offer no explanation other than in his opinion the gelding may not be suited by the quick backup. Held up for a short distance approaching the 100m. Tears Of Joy - got its head up when over-racing in the early stages. Gabella (FR) - over-raced with its head up when over-racing in the early and middle stages. When over-racing had to be checked off the heels of Savannah Moon (Luke Currie) which shifted in near the 1600m; Luke Currie was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Powderworks - raced wide without cover. Rider Kerrin McEvoy stated his mount wasnt suited by the early pressure in the race and may not have appreciated the track conditions. Betting deductions: 12 cents in the dollar for double bets. Chautauqua - slow to begin. Bumped at the 650m after shifting out slightly towards Lucky Hussler which was also shifting in. Chautauqua then shifted in across the heels of Under The Louvre (Chris Parnham) which was shifting out; Chris Parnham was reprimanded for shifting out when not fully clear of Chautauqua. Rider Dwayne Dunn stated his mount was disappointing but could offer no other explanation and Stewards will follow up with the stable in the coming days. Due to the inconclusive video evidence, Stewards could not be satisfied to the required standard of proof the clear cause of this incident, but on the evidence available were satisfied that Brad Rawiller had contributed to the incident and notified him to exercise more care when in similar circumstances in future. After taking into account Santa Ana Lane had shifted in away from Sir Bacchus after making contact with that gelding the Stewards severely reprimanded Damian Lane for shifting out when not fully clear. Passing Shot (NZ) - jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with the hindquarters of English. It Is Written - raced wide without cover. Redkirk Warrior (GB) - raced wide without cover. Taddei Tondo - hampered near the 300m when tightened for room by Passing Shot (NZ) which when laying in shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. Held up rounding the home turn before gaining clear running near the 200m. Real Time - hampered near the 300m when tightened for room by Passing Shot (NZ) which when laying in shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. Majestic Duke - became unbalanced after being brushed by Passing Shot (NZ) which shifted out on straightening.
