Competitors are prohibited from wearing cell phones or ear pieces while mounted anywhere on the show grounds for safety reasons. 13. If a competitor falls off their horse they are eliminated from that round. They may not remount or take a courtesy fence. The competitor must be checked by first aid personnel to determine if they may ride another round. Riders who fall in the warm up/exercise area must be checked by first aid personnel before remounting. 14. In the spirit of good sportsmanship, appeals, protests and objections are discouraged but if necessary must be made in accordance with Section of the Canadian Pony Club Jumping Rules If an error has been made during the judging of the competition (ex. miscalculated faults), the error must be reported immediately to a member of the organizing committee, and the correction, if needed, must be made. If the reason for the protest occurs outside of the competition ring, the organizing committee must be informed immediately regarding the reason for the appeal. The organizing committee must look into the reason for the protest and decide what course of action should be taken. In a case where the organizing committee does not take action and the protestor feels the situation has not been resolved to their satisfaction, they may make an official protest. Official protests must be made in writing and addressed to the organizing committee within one hour of the occurrence. The protest must be accompanied with a deposit of $ cash. In the event the Ground Jury sustains the protest, the deposit shall be returned to the protester. In the event the protest is not sustained, the deposit shall be forfeited to the organizing fund for the competition. The Ground Jury will give their decision after investigation of the protest and that decision will be final. All complaints must be made in writing to the Regional Chair within three months of the competition date. For full details see rule A1206 Gen. Regulations. COMPLAINTS TO SHOW OFFICE MUST BE MADE BY CLUB DC ON BEHALF OF MEMBER COMPLETE WITH $100 CASH - NO PONY CLUB MEMBER OR PARENT TO COMPLAIN TO OFFICE! 15. Horse Eligibility: All horses/ponies entered are eligible under the following criteria: No horse under 5 years of age is eligible. No stallions are allowed. All horses must have been regularly ridden at Pony Club meets by the member and so certified by the District Commissioner at the time of entry. The borrowing of outstanding "name horses" is not allowed, unless the horse has been out of competition for at least 2 years and is regularly used by the member for Pony Club activities. Strict adherence to these last rules is left to the honor and good judgment of the Regional Show Committee. If officials determine that they will allow a horse to be shared in the jumping or dressage competitions the rings will not be held. Please indicate on the entry forms who is sharing which mount (circle horse name), and what divisions they are entered in and provide a summary of the reason(s) for the requirement to share.

13 16. It is strictly forbidden for any person who is not a Pony Club member or a member of an Equine PSO that has signed a nonmember acceptance of risk form, to ride a horse anywhere on the competition grounds for the duration of the event.
