On Tuesday, 2 May 2017, evidence was taken from rider J Collett and Stable Representative Mr A Clarken. An investigation into wagering on this event did not reveal any patterns of concern. When questioned, J Collett advised he was issued with no specific instructions other than to obtain cover as the gelding has a tendency to race keenly. He added that from his wide barrier, he eased his mount in the early stages to obtain cover where it then commenced to overrace and was then steadied off the heels of Home Run near the 900m. When questioned concerning his riding from the 600m, and in particular as to whether there was an opportunity to follow the eventual winner So It Is, J Collett stated that as his mount was resuming and had overraced, he did not feel it could sustain a wide run and for this reason, elected to save ground and look for inside runs. He added on straightening, he allowed his mount to improve into the event, however near the 200m, was disappointed for a run between Gelug and Daphne Dynamite when Daphne Dynamite shifted out. losing some momentum. J Collett added that whilst Daphne Dynamite then shifted back in resulting in that run then being available, he had already committed to shifting across the heels of Gelug to ensure he had clear running from this point. The Stewards advised J Collett he had erred in not riding with more urgency in the early part of the straight which would have ensured he established running between Daphne Dynamite and Gelug sooner and would have prevented him ultimately being disappointed for this run. ROSEHILL GARDENS: Saturday, 6 May 2017 RACE 1 Fresh For Kids Handicap 1100m Blonde Intuition co-trainer Mr A Bott advised that Blonde Intuition had now been sent for a spell. RACE 3 Sydney Markets Foundation Handicap 1800m Travancore trainer Mr B Heys advised that he was satisfied with the post race condition of the horse and a veterinary examination, including the results of an endoscopic examination, revealed no abnormalities. He stated it is the stable s intention to continue on with the horse s preparation. Siren's Fury trainer Mr J Coyle advised that he was satisfied with the post race condition of the gelding and advised that it is the stable s intention to continue on with the horse's preparation. He added that in his opinion, the horse did not run out the 1800m and advised that he will drop the horse back in distance at its next race start. RACE 8 Toyota Material Handling Handicap 1200m Sweet Serendipity trainer Mr J Coyle advised that he was satisfied with the post race condition of the gelding and advised that he had accepted to race at Scone on Saturday, 13 May 2017.

2 RACE 1 Bowermans Office Furniture Plate 1100m Forever Dream was slow to begin. Ennui laid out in the straight. Dream I Can raced keenly in the early and middle stages and when being restrained off the heels of Free Sky rounding the home turn, shifted out. Dream I Can then raced wide without cover thereafter. Laid in in the straight obliging its rider, J Parr, to change the whip into his right hand near the 100m. RACE 2 Casino Prince@Vinery Plate 1200m Victory In Paris which had been standing awkwardly in the barriers, began awkwardly and made contact with Touch Of Mink. When questioned, C Reith advised that rounding the home turn, his mount was not travelling well and he contemplated shifting back inside Well Versed in order to improve, however when Well Versed shifted back in, he was disappointed for that run and he then endeavoured to shift to that horse's outside. He added that he was once again obliged to ease his mount when disappointed for that run when Ritabel shifted back in before he ultimately obtained clear running approaching the 200m to the inside of Well Versed where Victory In Paris finish the race off fairly. Kissing Game hung out from the 500m, which afforded Seaglass the opportunity to improve into a run to its inside. Ritabel bumped Organza on jumping. Organza bumped Ritabel on jumping. When questioned regarding his riding, T Berry advised that he had been instructed from his awkward barrier to go back and endeavour to find cover. He added that from the 600m, he did not wish to trail Sasuba and make his run wider whilst racing at the rear of the field as he was concerned that Organza, which hung out at its trial at Warwick Farm on 21 April 2017, would become unbalanced with the rail out and elected to pursue runs inside that horse. He said that when making ground and under pressure from the 400m, when there was no opening for him to continue to improve shortly after straightening, he then elected to shift out around the heels of Sasuba where once clear, he finished the race off strongly when under pressure. Grand Theft Auto began awkwardly shifted in and made contact with Seaglass. Approaching the 100m, Grand Theft Auto was eased when Touch Of Mink (G Schofield) shifted out when not clear. G Schofield was advised to exercise more care. When questioned, B Avdulla advised that the filly was agitated behind the barriers and after enjoying a nice run throughout, failed to finish the race off and in his view, may have come to the end its preparation. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr J Cummings undertook to report back on the immediate racing future for the filly in the days subsequent. Well Versed began awkwardly and then shortly after the start, was crowded by Seaglass, which was taken in by Grand Theft Auto. Lexiloo was bumped shortly after the start by Well Versed. Touch Of Mink raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Touch Of Mink shifted out under pressure in the straight and proved somewhat difficult to ride out. When questioned, G Schofield advised that when Touch Of Mink was inclined to shift its ground out when being ridden with the whip approaching the 100m, he then elected to ride his mount out hands and heels and not apply the whip and the filly finished its race off well. Sasuba raced keenly in the early and middle stages. RACE 3 Rubick@Coolmore Plate 1200m Silk Topper during the preliminary, Silk Topper struck G Schofield in the head and he sustained an injury to his right eye. G Schofield, after being dislodged from Silk Topper was examined behind the

3 barriers by the Club's ambulance officers and was cleared to fulfil his engagement. As a result, the race was delayed some 6 minutes. Silk Topper got its near foreleg briefly over the front partition and was examined by the Club's veterinary officer and cleared to start. Stable representative Mr N Dilmi was advised a warning would be placed on the colt. On jumping, Silk Topper bumped with Ruler, became unbalanced and lost some ground. Silk Topper raced keenly in the early and middle stages. On straightening, Silk Topper was briefly tightened for room by Ruler, which hung out despite the efforts of its rider. Heliosphere became fractious in the barriers and attempted to burrow out of the front of the gates and became cast for some time. Heliosphere, by order of the Stewards on veterinary advice, was a late withdrawal at 2.21pm. The Stewards ruled that all monies invested on Heliosphere be refunded in full and that all successful wagers made prior to 2.21pm be subject to the following deductions in the face value of each ticket. 1 st Malahat 2 cents win, 3 cents place 2 nd Kementari 2 cents place 3 rd Angel s Boy 3 cents place Trainer Mr G Ryan was advised that a veterinary clearance for Heliosphere would be required prior to barrier trialling to the Stewards' satisfaction prior to racing again. Mahal stood flat footed and ran out abruptly at the start and lost ground (3L). Mahal raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Kementari hung out from the 500m and proved difficult to ride. Angel's Boy T Clark advised that he had instructions, if possible, to go forward on his mount. He added, however, that after Angel's Boy began only fairly and did not show sufficient speed, he took the option from his wide draw to restrain and have the horse ridden with cover. He added that Angel's Boy raced somewhat greenly in the middle stages, however once clear from the 400m, finished the race off well. Ruler on jumping, bumped with Silk Topper, became unbalanced and lost some ground. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Oddfellow shortly after the start, Oddfellow, which began awkwardly, raced in restricted room between Kementari and Pickelhaube. Oddfellow hung in rounding the home turn. Hong Qigong a post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. RACE 4 Ranvet Handicap 1900m His Kyllachy change of tactics to be ridden quieter and with cover; settled back. A post race veterinary examination revealed His Kyllachy to be mildly lame in the off fore leg. Stable representative Mr C Duckworth was advised a veterinary clearance would need to be provided prior to His Kyllachy racing again. Tumultuous struck the running rail near the 700m. More Energy, which was trailing, became unbalanced, shifted out and hampered Dowdstown Charlie. Lead Choreographer knuckled on jumping. T Berry advised he rode his mount forward after the start to settle in a prominent position behind the leader Be Like Dad. He added, however, that Lead Choreographer raced keenly in the middle stages before hanging in when under pressure in the straight and consequently did not finish its race off. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Dowdstown Charlie near the 500m, when under pressure, hung in behind the heels of More Energy and was steadied.

4 RACE 5 Keith McCabe Memorial Handicap 1250m How Sweet It Is raced wide without cover. Planet's Princess hung out throughout. Wayanka raced keenly in the early stages. Wayanka had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight and was inclined to lay in and proved difficult to shift to the outside of the heels of How Sweet It Is to improve. Relaxed when questioned, T Berry advised that in his view, Relaxed is not suited to racing on the tighter circuits as the horse did not make the turns well and consequently was not able to finish its race off. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Planet's Princess when questioned, K McEvoy advised he had been instructed from his good barrier to be just behind the speed, however Planet's Princess began particularly well and when there was little speed in the early stages, Planet's Princess was able to hold a prominent position without being pressured. K McEvoy added that when App R King, rider of Hammoon Dream did not cross his mount, he then elected to ride forward and take the lead. K McEvoy advised that thereafter, Planet's Princess made the turns awkwardly. He added that in his view, Planet's Princess may be better suited when ridden with cover. Uptown Lad App N Heywood advised that he was under no specific instructions, however envisaged having Uptown Lad racing near the lead. He added that after Uptown Lad began fairly and did not show sufficient speed to cross, and when a number of runners to his inside held their position, he elected to restrain and subsequently raced further back than he had initially anticipated. Hammoon Dream a post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. RACE 6 TAB.com.au Handicap 1550m Garbhan knuckled on jumping resulting in its rider D Panya almost becoming dislodged. As a result, Garbhan shifted in and crowded Sweet Adaline. Garbhan raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 1100m, was steadied away from the heels of Shield Wall, which shifted out. Garbhan then raced wide without cover for the remainder of the race. Passing the 400m, was bumped on two occasions by Sweet Adaline, when shifting out around the heels of Shield Wall to improve. El Sid began awkwardly. J Collett advised that in his view, the gelding, which was up in distance today, failed to run out the 1550m of today's race. A post race veterinary examination revealed a poor post race recovery. Mull Over raced keenly in the early and middle stages and got its head up and passing the 800m, when continuing to race keenly, improved onto the heels of Garbhan, who was checked. T Clark advised that Mull Over raced keenly throughout and in his view, may have come to the end of its preparation. A post race veterinary examination revealed a poor post race recovery. Trainer Mr J Cummings reported that the filly will now be spelled. Yeah Bravo B Avdulla advised that in his view, Yeah Bravo, whilst being up in grade and having some pressure applied to it, was not suited by today's firmer track conditions around the tighter Canterbury circuit. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. RACE 7 Hyland Race Colours Handicap 1250m Tiger By The Tale began awkwardly and was shifted in behind runners from its outside barrier. Tiger By The Tale raced keenly in the early stages. Military Machine reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Military Machine raced wide and without cover for the major part of the race.

5 Hill Spy was slow to begin. H Bowman explained that after Hill Spy raced very keenly in the middle stages, as he felt Hill Spy was racing at its peak, he did not apply the whip to the horse. H Bowman further advised he was not entirely comfortable with the horse s action and this was a further reason as to why he did not apply the whip in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed Hill Spy to be lame in the near fore leg and to have sustained abrasions to its offside hock. Trainer Mr L Pepper was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to Hill Spy racing again. Figtree was slow to begin. Love Me Baby near the 800m, was eased away from the heels of The Bull (A Hyeronimus) which shifted in. A Hyeronimus was advised to exercise more care. J Penza advised that Love Me Baby was disappointing in the manner it finished the race off in the straight and he had some concerns with the horse's action. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr J Sargent was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again. Love And Lies passing the 700m, was steadied away from the heels of The Bull (A Hyeronimus) which shifted in when not clear. A Hyeronimus was advised to exercise more care. GENERAL: Swab samples were taken from all winners and the following runners: Race 1: Forever Dream, Ennui, Dream I Can. Race 2: All Sassitude, Kissing Game, Lexiloo, Seaglass, Touch Of Mink. Race 3: Angel s Bay, Heliosphere, High Drive, Kementari. Race 4: Dowdstown, More Energy, His Kyllachy, Red Dubawi, Be Like Dad. Race 5: Hammoon Dream, Can Dream, Florence Hill, Planet s Princess, Uptown Lad. Race 6: Garbhan, Yeah Bravo, Cordero, Never Back Down, Shield Wall. Race 7: Love And Lies, Il Mio Destino.
