For information regarding other events at the North American, go to SHOW: Saturday, November 11 at 9 AM with Jim Percival of Xenia, OH (937) judging. SALE: Saturday, November 11 at 10:00 AM with Danny Westlake of Marysville, OH, selling (937) ACCOMMODATIONS: There is a variety of motel chains in the Louisville area. MAILBIDS: If you cannot attend the sale in person, a number of individuals will be available to handle your bids, including the auctioneer or the judges (see phone numbers under SHOW and SALE headings above). You can also contact any member of the Sale Committee: Becky Peterson, ASRA office (413) , R.J. All mail bids must be paid in full within 10 days. CONSIGNORS SHOW RIGHTS: Sale consignors may retain show rights of purchased animals through the National Show on Monday November 13 if the animal is indeed entered in the show. If the buyer is not an exhibitor, the sale committee will assist in obtaining an early release for that animal. TRANSPORTATION: Since there are numerous transportation options available from Louisville, Sale management will assist in arranging transportation for animals purchased by non-exhibitors that need to stay through the show on Monday November 13. Please let us know in advance of the sale of your transportation needs. SALE SPONSOR: The Stars of Louisville Shropshire Sale is sponsored by the American Shropshire Registry Association. SALE MANAGEMENT PHONE: The sale barn phone after Thursday, November 9 is Prior to that or after November 15, please call the ASRA office (413) MAIL BID PHONE: Mail bids only, Friday and Saturday only. (413) , (937) TERMS: The auctioneer s decision is final on any disputed bids. All sheep sold will be sold at full interest. Sheep shall be paid for with cash or good personal check. All animals are at purchaser's risk as soon as sold. Institutions may pay by requisition. Canadian buyers must pay in US Funds. Canadian checks may be assessed a $15 collection fee. Mail bid purchases are payable within 10 days of invoice. A $20 fee will be assessed for any check returned for insufficient funds. NO checks will be accepted from Mexico. The American Shropshire Registry Association reserves the right to request advance payment on mail bids. SUBSTITUTIONS: All substitute entries will be marked with a bar beneath the lot number. This means that the information may differ from that printed in the sale catalog. Consignors have been asked to post pedigrees on all entries. REGISTRATION AND HEALTH PAPERS: Certificate of registry will be furnished to the purchaser at the expense of the consignor. All registration papers will be processed by the American Shropshire Registry Association and mailed out to the new owners. Official Health Certificates will be furnished to all buyers by a veterinarian approved by the state of Kentucky. All sheep sold in the sale will be identified with approved USDA tags or tattoos. All entries are guaranteed to be free of the spider gene and will also be genetically resistant to Scrapie by being either QR or RR at Codon 171. SALE GUARANTEE Except for those stated in the below guarantee, there are no warranties, either expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to the sheep being sold in this sale. The warranties and guarantees set forth in the below guarantee are in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied, and the remedies provided therein shall be the sole and exclusive remedy of the buyer, or any party claiming through the buyer, for any breach of warranty or guarantee therein provided, and all other obligations or liabilities. 1- Every sheep sold will be guaranteed as a breeder if properly handled. It shall be the responsibility of the buyer to return a non-breeder to the seller in acceptable breeding condition. The seller, after a fair trial and finding the animal to be a nonbreeder, shall have the privilege of replacing the animal with one of equal value to the satisfaction of the buyer, or refunding the purchase price. This guarantee shall not apply to any sheep that are shown subsequent to the date of the sale. 2- Ewes sold as bred ewes that are not in fact bred, shall be adjusted by one of the three following seller s options: a. replace the original ewe with another bred ewe or with a ewe with lamb(s) at side to the satisfaction of the buyer, or b. the buyer to keep the original ewe with the seller to provide a compensatory lamb or lambs to the satisfaction of the buyer, or c. the seller to refund a compensatory 20 percent of the original purchase price for the lack of lamb crop. 3- The sponsoring organization cannot and will not assume any responsibility as to the authenticity of the pedigrees or bloodline information provided in the sale catalog, on pen cards, or otherwise, and subsequent genetic performance of any sheep purchased. All such information must be accepted at face value. Any special guarantees or claims offered by individual consignors is strictly between the consignor and buyer, and will not be enforced by the sponsoring organization. 4- This guarantee shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller only, and no other parties assume any liability, legal or otherwise, expressed or implied.
