4 2018 BARRY HILLIER MEMORIAL HORSE TRIALS ALBURY WODONGA EQUESTRIAN CENTRE CORRYS ROAD THURGOONA CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (in accordance with new PCV rules effective January 2016, see PCV website for details) Entering this competition constitutes acknowledgement that PCV rules apply and acceptance of these rules. For Pony Club members, Club Members Cards are to be produced to the Secretary s Office when collecting Body Numbers and prior to riding. Cards can be collected on the return of the Body Number. Entry forms must be signed by club DC, or the individual competitor, and be accompanied by correct fees. No competitors under 8 years of age for Horse Trials. Correct Standards numbered helmet must be worn as specified in PCV Gear Rules. Spot checks may occur and incorrect helmet will mean elimination. Medical armbands must be worn by all competitors (applies to pony club and open sections) Gear check before riding in each test/phase of the competition is required. Competitor Body Numbers the organizing committee will pre-allocate and advise numbers. Competitors may supply their own numbers. Body numbers will be available at the event and must be returned prior to receiving dressage tests or Club Member Cards. Body numbers must be used for X-Country. Queries, protests, horse abuse rules as per the PCV Handbook of By-Laws More than one horse may be ridden subject to the conditions of PCV Handbook of By-Laws multiple horse rules. All Open Rider s (including PC members) must sign a Public Liability Declaration Form. Open riders do not need to pay $10 day fee or fill in the Day Participant Waiver if they are a current financial member* of PCV, EA/EV, AHSA, HRCAV, Interstate Pony Club, AERA, SCHA, or can prove Personal Liability Cover of at least $10,000,000. *Must produce proof. PCV Insurance Policy specifically states anyone not following PCV Rules may be left uninsured Open riders dress for the dressage and show jumping; HRCAV uniform or shirt, tie/stock, jacket, jodhpurs (white, cream, beige, banana or oatmeal). Officials and riders must not consume alcohol eight hours prior or during an activity or competition. Under -age drinking is not permitted. The full policy is available from the PCV web site or state office. Entries close 2 nd April Late entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the Organizing Committee if numbers permit and will incur a penalty of $20:00 per rider. Horses must be at least 4 years old, no stallions, colts or rigs. A horse may only be entered into one section and ridden by one competitor No phone entries will be accepted. No payment, No entry. No refunds after closing date except with a vet or medical certificate, which must be provided within 7 days of competition date. Each Club MUST provide one cross country judge for every 3 riders or part thereof entered. Lungeing is permitted in the confined designated lungeing only area. Ancillary lungeing equipment such as pessoa,chambon and side reins cannot be used. Portable yards need to be of solid construction as per PCV Bylaws XC Course will be closed from Midnight Saturday 24 March Any rider found riding on the course after this date will be eliminated. DOGS or PETS ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT EXCEPTION RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: The Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel any class or competition; divide any class; alter times; refuse any entry with or without stating a reason. Open Riders ride at their own risk. All Stables, Covered Yards, Open Yards, Powered and Non-Powered Camping must be booked directly through AWEC.
