If today's race is on an inner track, i. e. Aqueduct inner Dirt, Belmont or Saratoga inner Turf, the statistics reflect the horse s performance on the inner surface of that track. Inner and main tracks are not grouped together. Track Statistics for the jockey and trainer are based only on the track and do not make this distinction; i. e. inner, main, Dirt and Turf are all grouped together in the statistics. Note 2: Pace Numbers The pace numbers represent the speed rating the horse would receive if it continued at the same rate for the rest of the race. For instance, a fraction 1 pace rating of 175 in a 6 furlong race means that if the horse were to continue at the same ¼ mile speed for the rest of the race, without slowing down, he would run a 175 final time speed rating. As the number is scaled relative to the speed rating, the track to track and variants are included in the pace rating. The distances they represent are the same as the race fractions in Note 3. The stretch rating is the pace number from the start to the stretch call, one furlong from the finish line. The late rating is the pace number for the final 3 furlongs of the race. Note 3: Pedigree Ratings The pedigree ratings are scaled 0 to 1500, the higher the better. Note 4: Distance Statistics Distance statistics are based on exact distances, with the following exceptions: 7.5f, 1m and 1m 40y are grouped as one distance. 1m 70y and 1m 1/16 are grouped as one distance.
