The prestigious Haldon Gold Cup is our feature race of the day when racing will be fast, furious and spectacular in the two miles one furlong race. This is one of Devon s most celebrated sporting occasions, steeped in history and tradition, and we re looking forward to sharing it with you. The Haldon Gold Cup is worth over 60,000 and is an early season highlight typically attracting some of the country s best two mile chasers. DEVON DAY Sunday 26th November Devon Day is a great local tradition when we celebrate the loveliness of our county that oozes from every nook and cranny. Our celebrated Clydesdale race is a fund raiser for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust. You might wonder what the association between Clydesdales and Devon might be, but these gentle giants live at Brimpts in the heart of Dartmoor with Tim Ancrum and Aileen Ware of Adventure Clydesdales. Local food, drink and attractions will also be on show and our seven race card is sure to throw up a classy winner or two this is the meeting after all where Harry Fry s highly regarded American won his novice chase debut last year. NEW YEAR S DAY Monday 1st January There s no better way to see in the New Year in style than a day s racing at Exeter Racecourse so wrap up warm and enjoy the spectacular action. Thousands of West Country folk will be making their annual pilgrimage to take part in a great Devon tradition and Haldon Hill will come alive with the sounds of joyous voices welcoming in the first day of the New Year. SUPER SUNDAY Sunday 11th February It s called Super for a reason. Not only are a pair of pre-booked Grandstand & Paddock tickets just 15 but there s prize money on offer in excess of 100,000 which means the stage is set for some really super racing.
