5 Dear Horsemen: It s that time of year again. October 20th is right around the corner. And Laurel Park is getting ready to show off again on Jim McKay Maryland Million Day. This day is a celebration for all that you do. This is the showcase event for Maryland s horse industry. You can feel the energy that the Maryland Jockey Club has put into making Laurel Park the place to be for Maryland s Day at the races. Since 1986 Maryland Million Ltd. has paid more than $32 million in purses and awards, and much of that money has been reinvested in horses and farm land. Every time you breed to a Maryland stallion, buy a Maryland-sired horse or race at a Maryland track you show your commitment to Maryland s horse industry. You know Maryland produces great horses, and Maryland Million Day gives you and your owners the opportunity to excel. 8 Maryland Million LTD. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Maryland Million Ltd. reserves the right to limit the number of starters in any Maryland Million race. If selection of entries is necessary, Maryland Million Ltd. shall have sole discretion over the method used. Maryland Million Ltd. also reserves the right to change the purse, distance or course of any race without liability. Maryland Million Ltd. races shall be run in compliance with the racing rules and regulations of the Maryland Racing Commission. Maryland Million Ltd. shall have no liability for the actions of any official or employee of the track where such races are held or for any matter under the track s control.
