5 AQHA Classes. Entry Fees Split/Combined Show 1&2 25 Youth 18 Copies of the horses AQHA registration certificate and the exhibitor s membership card must be sent to the secretary. Open classes are on the horse with any rider Amateur/Youth/L1 Amateur and L1 Youth is on a horse/rider combination. Day Fees cut in after 4 classes any classes entered over 4 in each division are free of charge. NRHA Classes Entry Fees 20 (Youth 6) Copies of the horse s NRHA Competition Licence and the Owner s and Exhibitor s membership cards must be sent to the secretary. BRITISH REINING Classes Entry Fees: Green As Grass & Youth 10, All others 15. BR. Horses must have either a BR or NRHA Competition Licence and owners and riders must be paid up members of British Reining. MEMBERS JACKPOT REINING The Entry Fee will be 50 and at least half will be Jackpotted as prize money. This class is for AQHA.UK Members only. UNAFFILIATED. Entry Fees 10 These classes are open to all breeds and exhibitors they are non AQHA classes but will be judged in line with AQHA Rules. There will be an award for the highest placed AQHA Part Bred in each of these classes. FUTURITY, MATURITY CLASSES & CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES, Entries will close approx 1 hour before the class is scheduled to start, Please note all riders and owners must be members of AQHA-UK please check the website for all Championship, Futurity and Maturity rules. Entry Fees 25 A perpetual trophy will be awarded to the best British Bred Quarter Horse winning the most points in either the Futurity or Maturity classes, points will be awarded depending on how many entries in the class. British Bred means that the horse has to be born in the UK, please indicate this on the entry form if you wish to take part. AQHA-UK BRITISH SUPREME HALTER CHAMPION/RESERVE The British Supreme Open Champion & Reserve Champion will qualify from the winners of the AQHA Open Grand Champions of both shows and be judged by Jim Searles. AQHA-UK Super Horse will be awarded to the Open Hi Point Winner across both shows and is subject to entry in an Open Halter Class. AQHA-UK CHAMPIONSHIPS All riders and owners are required to be AQHAUK Members and all horses must be registered with AQHAUK to be eligible. All award winners of Championship, Futurity & Maturity classes are required to attend the award ceremony and official photograph, anyone not attending correctly dressed and with their horse may be forced to forfeit the award and prize money if applicable. PATTERNS will be posted on the website. Please bring copies with you as there will be limited spares available. TIE BREAK JUDGE Whenever a result is a tie the Tie Break Judge will be Jim Searles BACK NUMBER If you have a Macmillan back number you will be able to use it at this show. STABLING. Will be charged at 75 for the duration of the show or part thereof and must be booked by 2 ND September. Stables include straw bedding, if other bedding is required, exhibitors may bring their own or purchase shavings on showground. If you wish to be stabled with a trainer or friend please show this on the entry form and we will do our best to comply. Stabling will be available from Midday Wednesday 13 3h September. Earlier arrivals need to contact the secretary in advance for availability, early arrival fee 25 per horse. (If your journey exceeds 440 miles round trip please provide mileage to claim a 40 credit on your show bill, this credit cannot be refunded) VIDEO FEE 20 compulsory fee. To include a USB stick with all your classes recorded for you to keep. PAID WARM UPS - Fee 10 will be run on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning times will be announced shortly. HAY & HAYLAGE Available to be purchased on the showground ELECTRICITY 30 There are limited electrical points available and will be allocated on a first paid first served basis. ACCOMMODATION For information on local accommodation please check for details. CATERING The café will be open from lunchtime on Wednesday and on all four show days PAYMENT can be made in advance by CHEQUE or PAYPAL via AQHA.UK website or BACS - account details on the entry form please show your name as a reference and be sure to post, fax or supporting paperwork to the secretary, quarterhorseshow@aol.com. You are also advised to bring your horse s passports and vaccination records with you to the show. You are required to enter at least one class in advance, additional classes may be added at the show, please leave a pre-signed cheque with the secretary on arrival. Debit & Credit Cards can also be taken to pay final bill at the show, please note 2.5% surcharge for credit cards. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE RUNNING ORDER OF THE CLASSES WHERE NECESSARY. DETAILS OF ANY CHANGES WILL BE POSTED AT THE SHOW OFFICE.

6 HARD HAT DISCLAIMER DECLARATION OF INDEMNITY AND ACCEPTANCE OF RISK WEARING OF PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR AT AQHA UK EVENTS The human head is very vulnerable and may suffer considerable damage owing to injuries caused by a fall or impact from a horse. Injuries to the head may have long term effects and in some cases can be life threatening. It has been proven that wearing a correctly fitted, good condition riding hat can protect the wearer from injury or reduce the overall effect of any impact or injury. The American Quarter Horse Association, United Kingdom promotes safe riding and competition and in order to further this aim strongly recommends that protective headgear to approved standards is worn while handling exercising riding or competing any horse or pony. Declaration I am aware of the risks involved in riding or competing without a solid and unbroken properly fitted approved riding hat or helmet to BSEN1384 or BSEN 1384 and PAS015, SNELL E2001, AS/NZS3838 or ASTM-F1163 and bearing the appropriate kite or certified mark with the straps properly adjusted and fastened. I understand that the American Quarter Horse Association, United Kingdom permits competitors without protective headgear to handle exercise ride or compete horses at their own risk subject to submission of the relevant disclaimer below. Adult Competitors As an adult aged 18 years or over I hereby confirm that I accept full responsibility for not wearing protective headgear to the standards specified above while attending AQHA UK events. Having taken this decision I hereby indemnify AQHA UK against all losses including but not limited to loss of income and all types of indirect or consequential loss that may be suffered or liability which may accrue to AQHA UK as a result of any injury suffered by myself as a result of not wearing appropriate safety headgear while handling exercising riding or competing. Name Signature Date Youth competitors age 18 and under must wear protective headgear at all times when riding or handling horses at an AQHA UK event; this includes clinics and shows for the entire duration on the show ground or any private facilities being hired by the AQHA UK. Riders who fail to complete this declaration will not be permitted to ride without protective headgear and may be asked to leave the event and any fees may be forfeited. INFORMATION - Hard Hat Standards 2016 The European Commission have made changes to the EN1384 hat standard (this also includes BSEN1384) and it will no longer be recognised as an acceptable standard for riding hats in the UK. Since 1 January 2016 hat rules have changed and are tabled below.from 1 January 2016, All hats that only meet the standard EN1384 or BSEN1384, and do not comply with another standard from the above table are no longer acceptable. Hats which bear EN1384 or BSEN1384 along with another standard from the above table are acceptable. For example, BSEN1384 & PAS015 (1998 or 2011) along with the Kite-mark, but BSEN1384 on its own is not AQHA UK Council JULY 2017
