The listed shows are open to all ASPC registered Shetlands, ASPR registered Show Ponies, and AMHR registered Miniature Horses. This Show is accredited by the ASPC/AMHR and will be conducted under the ASPC/AMHR Official Show rules. This is an approved show for Classic Shetlands: A Halter and Performance, AMHR Division A (Under): A Halter and Performance, Division B (Over) Miniatures: A Halter and Performance. Modern Shetlands, A Halter and B Performance. ASPR Show Ponies, A Halter & Performance. A copy of both sides of the Certificate of Registration of each horse entered must be submitted to the Show Manager with each horse entry. Entries that are received without a copy of both sides of the registration papers will be held pending until such papers are submitted. For geldings, gelding status must be reflected on the Certificate of Registration in order to show. Current Youth* and Amateur cards are required, (and provide numbers on the entry form) Youth and Amateur cards may be applied for through AMHR or through the show steward. No youth under 13 years of age may show a stallion of any age, in any class. *Youth are not required to have an ASPC/AMHR youth card to exhibit. However, youth exhibiting without a youth membership card will not receive placings, points or be eligible for youth awards from the ASPC/AMHR/ASPR. *Youth membership is free; the first year application requires the signature of a current adult ASPC/AMHR/ASPR member. Yearly renewal does not require a signed form or the signature of a sponsor adult member. The show manager reserves the right to settle and determine all questions, differences and disputes arising out of or connected with or incident to this show within the boundaries of ASPC/AMHR's current show rules. Cruelty, abuse or inhumane treatment of any horse I the show ring, barn stalls or on the grounds is strictly prohibited. The use of stimulants or depressants or any drug affecting the showing of the horse is forbidden. NO LOGO's, NAMES, OR OTHER IDENTIFICATION OF PERSON OR FARM WILL BE ALLOWED ON ANY EXHIBITOR, HORSE OR VEHICLE IN THE SHOW ARENA.

3 SHOW HOURS The show will start promptly at 8:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. Lunch & dinner breaks, and warm-up times will be announced as warranted throughout the show weekend. Security will be on the grounds at night, but please be sensible with your belongings, as show management, SWMHC, Somervell Expo Center, or ASPC/AMHR are not responsible or liable for any loss damage or injury. HEALTH REGULATIONS The State of Texas Animal Health regulations for ALL HORSES require a Negative Coggins (EIA) test within 12 months of the show; horses outside of Texas must be accompanied by a health certificate current within 45 days. A health certificate is NOT required if you are within the state of Texas. DO NOT SEND THESE DOCUMENTS WITH YOUR ENTRIES. PRE-ENTRIES CLOSE: MARCH 8, 2017 REGULAR ENTRIES CLOSE March 8, Post/Late entry fee will be charged for entries not postmarked by this date, of $15 per horse. CHECK IN & MEASUREMENT OF HORSES Check in and measuring will begin Thursday, March 16 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Measuring will resume Friday & Saturday at 7:00 am. If you can't measure within these hours, contact the Show Manager. ALL Entry materials MUST be in the Show Office before measurements will be made. ALL horses entered MUST be measured before they may be allowed to show. STALLS: $75.00 each for entire show Stalls are box stalls (10 x10 ) metal construction, metal bars on concrete floors. No more than 2 horses per stall; stallions ages 2 and older MUST be stalled separately. NO BEDDING IS INCLUDED WITH STALLS & NO OUTSIDE BEDDING MAY BE BROUGHT ONTO THE SHOW GROUNDS. Shavings will be available from the facility at reasonable rates. Horses may be brought for sale, but pay the appropriate stall fee and meet health requirements. Stall decorations are encouraged. Please help keep the facility clean by putting trash in the barrels and manure in the dumpsters. Stalls will be available at NOON, Thursday, March 16. All stalls must be vacated by 9:00 p.m. Sunday, March 19 th. Those exhibitors wanting to arrive earlier or stay later must make advance arrangements with Show Management and additional fee of $25/stall/night will apply. Sunday night stay over s will pay $25.00 per stall used, including tack stalls. SPECIAL NOTICE ALL DRIVING EXHIBITORS There will be NO harnessing or hitching of Miniatures in the main aisle from the warm-up arena to the Show arena. Please harness in the side aisles and hitch up out in the warm-up arena. This is for safety and liability concerns. Thank you. JUDGE S EVALUATION CARDS Judge s Evaluation Cards will be available at the Horse Show Office. REFUND POLICY The SWMHC will give a full refund if entries are cancelled in writing by the closing date of the horse show. If entries are cancelled in writing to the show manager and accompanied by a veterinarian s or doctor s certificate of inability to show after the pre-entry closing date, but before the official start of the show, 8:00 am Friday, March 17 th, all fees other than the stall and office fee will be refunded. After the official start of the show, there will be no refunds. Substitution of a horse will be accepted with no late fee.

4 COMMERCIAL EXHIBITORS The fee for commercial exhibitors is per day depending on the size of the booth and use of electricity. Tables & chairs are not provided. The Expo Center is on the north and may be entered off of Bo Gibbs Blvd. which runs along the west side the Expo. Center. The exact address is the Somervell County Expo. 5 CONCESSION STAND will be open on Friday - Sunday during show hours. DOGS MUST be kept on a leash or penned at all times; and animals are NOT allowed in the concession area. SMOKING is NOT permitted inside the office, barns or arena areas. SHOW AWARDS 1 st 6 th place will receive a rosette. Champions will receive a large rosette or prize. WHAT YOU LL NEED TO SEND WITH YOUR ENTRIES 1. Copy of EACH horse s ASPC and/or AMHR registration papers, FRONT & BACK. 2. If you are showing a leased horse, be sure your papers indicate lessee (with AMHR stamp). 3. Copy of current (2017) AMHR Youth*/Amateur card. (These may be applied for through AMHR or through the show steward). *Youth do not have to have a card to exhibit, but points, placings and awards will not count. 4.
