Mail Entry Forms To Horse Show - Marin County Fair, 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael, CA Shared Horses Horses may be shared. A shared horse may be ridden in more than one section. Rider may not enter more than one section. Entry Fee $6 per class Post Entry Fee $10 per class (Entries received after June 5.) You must enter some classes before June 30, to post enter the day of show. Arrival Time Dressage Show Wednesday, July 1, 7 am to 8 am Arrival Time English Show Wednesday, July 1, 10 am to 11:30 am. Enter through Avenue of the Flags Gate Credentials Each contestant will receive one fair admission credential and one combined fair admission/parking credential. Dressage Judging Time Wednesday, July 1, 8 am, beginning with Class 1 English Judging Time Wednesday, July 1, 12 Noon No Cross-Entering between the 6 Sections Sections Adult (19 years & over) 9-11 years years years Pony Walk/Trot (Jog) Additional Rules: State Rules for California Fairs, and local 4-H rules govern this competition. Some, but not all of these rules are listed below for your reference. 2. AHSA rules shall be used as guidelines. 3. The American System of Judging applies.

2 4. When mounted on horse, a properly fitted ASTM-SEI equestrian helmet must be worn at all times. 5. The judge s decision is final. 6. No stallions may be shown. 7. All junior exhibitors must be supervised at all times by an adult. 8. Horse show management reserves the right to cancel or combine classes after entry deadline. 9. Exhibitor Age Requirements: Open to all California 4-H and FFA members in good standing, and Independent Junior and Adult Competitors from all California. Competitors must be 9 years old by January 1, 2015 (except for Open Lead Line Junior exhibitors may be 5 years of age). 10. Pony classes are open to any horse or pony 14.2H or less (based on height of animal, not age of exhibitor.) 11. Walk/Trot classes are open to riders who have not competed in a horse show prior to December 1, Walk/Trot riders may not cross enter into non-walk/trot classes. 12. Insurance Coverage for Exhibitors: 4-H & Pony Club Members are covered by their own insurance, but must complete a Waiver of Liability Form. Independent and Adult exhibitors shall provide insurance coverage as required by the Fair. The insurance fee is $15. Combine insurance fee and entry fees and submit one check. Please call the Fair Entry Office, or cbarboni@marincounty.org for further information. 13. Shared Horses: Horses may be shared. Shared horses may be ridden in more than one section, but horse may only be ridden in three jump rounds per show. 14. Code of Ethics & Medical Release: All exhibitors will be required to sign a code of ethics and a medical release form at time of entry. 15. Apparel: a. English Apparel for English Riding Classes: shirt, breeches with knee boots or jodhpurs with jodhpur boots, ASTM-SEI equestrian helmet, English type coat, tie or choker suitable for English attire, belt, (crop and unrowled spurs optional). b. Dressage Apparel Use the same attire as in the English flat classes, including ASTM-SEI equestrian helmet. Division 875 Dressage Wednesday, July 1, 9 am Dressage Rules: 1. Show will be run according to USDF guidelines. 2. No more than three tests per horse. 3. Plain Snaffle bit to be used. 4. Be prepared to move up if there are cancellations. 5. All tests will be ridden in Short Court. 6. Dressage times (approximate) will be ed to exhibitors the week before the competition.

California State 4-H Horse Classic Any 4-H exhibitor placing first, second or third in a qualifying class will be eligible to compete in the 2015 California State 4-H Horse Classic.
