BSPS This show is affiliated the British Show Pony Society and all persons entering, competing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not members of the BSPS are subject to the constitution and rules of the BSPS including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. RIHS QUALIFIERS This show is a qualifier for the 2017 RIHS. The highest placed pony (not already qualified) from the first three ponies in the open SP classes, open lead rein hunter type, open SHP classes, open intermediate SR, SH & WH, Anglo & part bred Arab, open NS, open WHP classes, Heritage LR and FR & Ridden, Heritage M&M Pretty Polly lead rein & first ridden classes, Heritage Ridden Mixed Breeds, Pretty Polly mixed height SP & SHP will qualify. Owners and riders must be BSPS members and the pony registered with the BSPS to compete in classes with qualification for RIHS and animals must be registered with the BSPS, except for the Anglo Part Bred Arab classes who must be registered with the AHS. BSPS QUALIFIERS This show is a qualifier for the 2017 BSPS Championship show to be held at Arena UK. The 1 st and 2 nd prize winners only in the following classes Open lead rein and open first ridden, open 128/138/148cm SP, open 122/133/143/153cm SHP, open nursery stakes, open 133,143,153 WHP classes will qualify. 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd prize winners in the following classes open cradle stakes, open intermediate classes MIXED HEIGHT CLASSES. The 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th placed ponies will qualify for the BSPS Championship show, provided the animal is registered in accordance with rules 23 and 28 and ridden by a BSPS member. THE BSPS CLASSIC SECURITY UK LTD CHALLENGE BSPS Rule 516 in the 2017 BSPS Rule and Show Handbook This show is a qualifier for the BSPS challenge, the highest placed pony that has not qualified for the 2017 Horse of the Year Show in the Lead rein, first ridden, open 128/138/148cm show pony, nursery stakes, open working hunter ponies, open lead rein hunter type, open 122/133/143 and 153cm show hunter pony, open intermediate show riding/show hunter/whp, open heritage lead rein, first ridden, ridden and WHP classes. If the highest placed pony has already qualified, the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony. The highest placed eligible pony in the cradle stakes will qualify for the challenge. BSPS PREMIER LEAGUEThe qualification for the BSPS premier league will be awarded to the 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th placed ponies in the following open classes that are not qualifiers for the RIHS, HOYS or Olympia. Lead rein, first ridden, 128/138/148cm show pony, lead rein hunter type, 122/133/143 and 153cm show hunter pony, cradle and nursery stakes, 133/143/153cm WHP, intermediate show riding, show hunter and working hunter, heritage lead rein, first ridden, ridden and WHP classes. BSPS BLUE RIBAND PONY OF THE YEAR This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year. The 1 st and 2 nd placed ponies in the open lead rein, open first ridden, open 128/138/148cm show pony and open 122/133/143/153cm show hunter pony, open 133/143/153cm WHP, intermediate SRT, SH and WH classes will qualify. Owners and riders must be BSPS members and the pony registered with the BSPS to compete in classes with Blue Riband Qualification.

3 BSPS BEST OF THE BEST Best of the Best Area Supreme Championship, the Area champion from each day will compete at the BSPS Summer Championship Show All ponies/horses competing must be owned, registered and ridden by Area 3A members. BSPS Desert Orchid WHP Qualifier This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Desert Orchid WHP of the Year BSPS BLACK COUNTRY SADDLES Best Rider of the Year This show is a qualifier for the BSPS best rider of the year. The Best Rider in the open lead rein, open first ridden, open 128/138/148cm show pony, open lead rein hunter type, open 122/133/143/153cm show hunter pony, open cradle & nursery stakes open 133/143/153 WHP, open heritage lead rein & first ridden, open heritage ridden & WHP (to riders who have not attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st Jan 2017 in the heritage ridden & WHP), open intermediate SRT,SH & WH classes will receive a Best Rider Card for the final at the BSPS Summer Championships Show. BINKS FAMILY CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS This show is a qualifier for the final of the BSPS Champion of Champions, the mini show pony champion, the mini WHP champion, the Open Show Pony Champion, the Open SHP Champion, the open WHP/WH champion, the open intermediate champion. BSPS WOW FACTOR ( Winner of Winners ) The 1 st placed ponies from the BSPS Heritage M&M Open classes will qualify for the BSPS WOW Factor at the BSPS Summer Championship Show. THE TopSpec SUPREME PRETTY POLLY RIDDEN PONY The final to be held at the North of England Summer Pony Show. Kindly sponsored by TopSpec Equine Ltd. The Pretty Polly Champion will qualify. If the Champion has already qualified then the Reserve Champion will go forward. Only the Champion or Reserve Champion will qualify. THE NORTH OF ENGLAND SPORTING SAM SUPREME INTERMEDIATE The final to be held at the North of England Summer Pony Show. The Intermediate Champion will qualify. The final to be held at the North of England In Hand and Mountain & Moorland Show.. The Champion Open Ridden M & M will qualify. If the Champion has already qualified then the Reserve Champion will go forward. Only the Champion or Reserve Champion will qualify. THE LIFE OF RILEY SUPREME RIDDEN COLOURED. The final to be held at the North of England In Hand and Mountain & Moorland Show. The Champion & Reserve Champion Ridden Coloured will qualify. Only the Champion & Reserve will qualify. BSPA All classes will be judged under BSPA rules and eligibility criteria. Forms/rules can be obtained from or BSPA SHOWS OFFICE All horses must be registered with owners and riders members of BSPA prior to the show. Rider age is taken as 1 January. All stallions MUST be graded and licensed and in possession of 2017 BSPA stallion ID card. No rider under 14 years may exhibit a stallion in any class. Membership and qualification cards MUST be carried in the ring by competitors and produced as required for inspection or signature. Failure to do so will disqualify any competitor and their qualification handed down to the next unqualified competitor. Spurs may not be worn in any pony class. All ponies 153cm and under (with the exception of Shetlands and miniatures that are exempt) must possess a current JMB height certificate submitted to BSPA prior to show. All grooms must be suitably dressed with a hat. THE CHERIF This is a qualifying show for the CHERIF 2017 The final will be held at the Cherif Championship show, Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, Addington Bucks, on 13 th September All details and qualifying cards at each (payable to Cherif Championship) from Miss L Temple, Roedean House, 8 Runnymeade Gardens, Trowbridge, Wiltshire. BA14 0FN. Please state the name and accurate height of horse/pony. SAE please, and contact phone number. The judges named in this schedule have accepted the invitation to judge, but the committee reserve the right to appoint a substitute for any judge unable to attend.
