Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification. 8 RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether members of the BSPS are subject to the constitution and rules of the BSPS including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. Owners and riders must be BSPS members before the date of the show to compete in classes with qualifications for the RIHS & Blue Riband and animals must be registered with the BSPS except for Anglo & PB Arabs who must be registered with the AHS. 1. The Committee does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage, injury to any person, animal or property at the show. 2. Mounted exhibitors must adhere to horse walkways and riding in areas. 3. All dogs to be kept on leads at all times. 4. All entries must be paid in full when entering. NO ENTRY FEE WILL BE REFUNDED. 5. All prize money to be collected from the Secretary's office on the day of show. 6. This show is run with due regard to Health and Safety. Everyone in attendance must abide by the instructions given by officials. 7. Correctly secure riding hats/skull caps Nos. A11 PAS015, VG1, ASTM F a onwards. SNELL E2001, AS/NZS onwards MUST be worn by riders at all times when mounted. 8. No clearing out of horseboxes allowed on the showground and please take your litter home. 9 GDPR Details of entries will only be retained for a period deemed necessary. Then they will be destroyed. Further information can be obtained from BSPS Head office. This show is a qualifier for the Royal International Horse Show. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three ponies in RIHS classes will qualify. BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year - the 1st & 2nd placed ponies in the following classes: Open RIHS Lead Rein and First Ridden, Open RIHS Show Pony Classes, Open RIHS Show Hunter Pony Classes and Open RIHS Intermediate classes BSPS Champion of Champions - The champion in each of the following sections will qualify for the final of the Champion of Champions at the Summer Championships show: Mini Show Pony Champion, Open Show Pony Champion. Open SHP Champion, Open Intermediate Champion. In mixed height classes the first prize winner will qualify. BSPS Premier League: Will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed ponies in Open classes that are not qualifiers for the RIHS, HOYS or OLYMPIA, and 1st-4th in a mixed height Open class. BSPS Classic Security Challenge - Animals may enter both the BSPS Blue Riband and the BSPS Challenge. Animals must have qualified for the Challenge by attending any BSPS affiliated show and competed in the appropriate class. Ponies must not have qualified for the 2018 Horse of the Year Show. If a pony qualifies for the Horse of the Year Show it will forfeit its qualification for the BSPS Challenge. BSPS Best Rider - This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Black Country Saddles Best rider of the Year. The Best rider in Open Lead Rein, First Ridden, Open LRHT, Show Pony, SHP, Intermediate SRT & SHT, Open Heritage Lead Rein, First Ridden, and the best rider 25 years and under in the Heritage Ridden classes will receive a card and qualify for the final at the BSPS Summer Championship show. NPS Mountain & Moorland / Part Bred Qualifying Rounds - These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS qualifying or Life Members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship show. The highest placed pony in each qualifying round will qualify. Qualification will go no lower than 3rd place. A pony may qualify once. It is the responsibility of the owner/producer to ensure that the rider/handler knows whether their pony has already qualified and whether they are entitled to take the qualification. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rule Book) can wear a white armband in classes where this is indicated. The ponies, if owned by NPS members are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Championship show. The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced Classes - First Round Qualifiers only are open to both members and non-members of SSADL. No Spurs, Galloping, Wearing of Face /Body Jewellery. Foals are NOT permitted in SSADL classes. Classes for In Hand Classes - Minimum age of handler = 9 years old STALLIONS - Either for In Hand or Ridden classes, competitors must be 16 years of age or over. Grooms if required must be 16 years of age and over. Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given. The same rider / handler / pony / horse combination must stay the same from first / second qualifiers and the grand final. All competitors should acquaint themselves with SSADL rules before entering. The SSADL rulebook can be found at SSADL Qualification cards and keep sake prize cards 1 st to 6 th will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation. Competitors only need one qualification card per section per season in hand and/or ridden, if already qualified this card must be handed down the line. 1 st to 3 rd in each class will receive a 10 voucher kindly sponsored by Anthony Evans Insurance.
