4 GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITONS 1. Terms of the sale are cash. Personal checks are considered cash. Driver s licenses or other posi ve forms of iden fica on will be required for checks. 2. The sales management is not responsible for the integrity of any specific bid, and the seller understands and assumes all responsibility for any bid that is made and not therea er honored. In the event that a bid is not honored, the seller agrees to hold Ken Beck and Associates, and any employees harmless and agrees not to sue the San Juan Ranch Horse Sale Management thereof. 3. The sellers reserve the right to bid, and to accept or reject any and all bids. 4. Horses are at the buyer s expense and risk and responsibility from the me of purchase. No delivery will be made un l said horse has been paid for in full. The buyer is responsible for paying the transfer fee. 5. All 2018 foals that are sold individually will be sold with one-third down and the balance due at weaning. If any such foal is determined to be found unsound at weaning, all money will be refunded in full. However, failure to pick up said foal at weaning or failure to pay the balance for any reason other than unsoundness, will cause the buyer to forfeit all money paid. 6. All registra on papers will be withheld by the sales management un l all checks have cleared the bank. At such me, the papers, along with the transfers, breeder s cer ficates, foal applica ons, and foal transfers will be sent directly to the buyer. If any byer desires to obtain registra on papers immediately, the horse must be paid for in currency. 7. Warran es: Auc oneers, announcers, and clerks do not act as agents for or represent the buyer or seller. They merely provide a medium for bringing together the buyer and seller for the purpose of a sales transac on. At the San Juan Ranch Horse Sale there will be no bids accepted or transac ons made for less than the value of $ ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND GUARANTEES LIE BETWEEN THE BUYER AND SELLER. There is no guarantee with respect to soundness or physical health of any animal sold other than any specific guarantee made by the consignor. Therefore, the consignor shall be the responsible party for all guarantees either wri en or verbal. All defects and unsoundness of any nature known to the consignor shall be stated. Buyer has the right to have a veterinary examina on, at buyer s expense, of any animal purchased upon the immediate exit from the auc on ring. If a dispute arises between buyer and seller with regard to an animal s soundness or general health at me of sale, the official veterinary examina on will be used to se le the dispute. In the event the dispute cannot be se led by either of the aforemen oned items, then it shall be the sole responsibility of the buyer and consignor to arrive at a mutual decision by which the management can abide. Once an animal has been removed from the grounds, or a 24 hour me limit has expired from me of sale, no recourse is available and the transac on is final. 9. Every effort has been made to insure correctness of the catalog, and in most cases, informa on quoted concerning horses is taken from the official horse associa on records. However, the sales management and its staff will not assume or accept responsibility for error or omissions. 10. All buyers or prospec ve buyers must register and obtain a buyers number. This can be done any me before or during the sale. 11. If a dispute should arise over a bid it will be se led solely by the auc oneer and his decision is final. 12. 5 LOT # BAY GELDING RR SUNFROSTED BUCK AKA SKIPPY AQHA # BLACK DIAMOND RANCH Skippy is a 4 year old, medium build gelding, that has been started right and is going in the right direc on. He has been ridden in a lot of rough country and has done about anything a cowboy would need to do. He has roped calves and yearlings, and is really smart, gentle, and easy to get along with. Skippy has par cipated in the Ranch Horse Futurity twice.

6 LOT # PALOMINO/GRAY COLT AQHA ELIGBLE DAVID REDD This powerful colt is David and Johnathon's top pick of the Flyin Gray Hocks horse colts. His Dam's linage produced Ty Hombre, 2017 futurity winner. This is the kind of colt you can bring back in three years to win the futurity.

7 LOT # BLUE ROAN GELDING NOTTAWA JACK HANCOCK (JACK) AQHA # Rye Hart, Agent Nice, gentle using horse. He has been used on the ranch to drag calves. He does well in rough country.

8 LOT # BAY COLT AQHA ELIGIBLE BLACK DIAMOND RANCH This is a nice, correct stud colt that might turn roan. This is the first baby out of a young mare that has Two Eyed Jack on her papers. This colt will be eligible to compete in the San Juan Ranch Horse Futurity and the Howard Pitzer Invita onal at the Pitzer Ranch in Ericson, Nebraska.

9 LOT # SORREL GELDING SMART POCO KIT DUAL AQHA # PHYLLIS SINGLETON Bought at auc on last fall. There was not a transfer paper with his AQHA Registra on Paper. Seems very broke. I was told he had been used for pasture roping and doctoring ca le. Tolerates rope well on his legs, or wherever. Good to shoe and load. He is wormed and ready to go to work. Good age and a stout gelding.

10 LOT # BUCKSKIN FILLY AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTERPRISES This is a fancy buckskin filly. Her full siblings have proven to make great, teachable horses. They have become great kids horses within one or two years of breaking. This baby even has color to boot!

11 LOT # RED ROAN FILLY RR SUNNY MARTINA # DAVID REDD This 2 year old filly has a great start on her. Sweet with no buck. Good with her feet, good to e, load, haul and lunge. She has experienced a li le bit of everything. Swinging a rope off her, trailing cows, crossing water and arena me. She side passes and backs.

12 LOT # SORREL COLT AQHA ELIGIBLE DAVID REDD Chance to own a TWO D CODY horse colt. Big stout cowboy horse that can cover some ground. Pitzer bred Dam by REDS DIA- MOND JACK.

13 LOT # PALOMINO FILLY AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTERPRISES Don t miss out on this pre y baby! She is a fancy palomino filly with a big hip. She will be able to go any direc on you want to take her. Chase Murray is currently riding a full three year old sibling to this horse, which is turning out to be one of his go-to horses. He is able to use him for a full day of ranch work, even as a three year old.

14 LOT # BAY GELDING HANK GRADE PHYLLIS SINGLETON This five year old is super gentle and would let anyone ride him. He is an excellent trail riding horse. He is super fun and would be a great addition!

15 LOT # DUN FILLY AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTERPRISES Another great Whiskey baby with a lot of leg and a lot of poten- al. Should be easy to break and start.

16 LOT # RED ROAN COLT RR FROSTED BUCK # DAVID REDD Yearling stud colt with a loaded pedigree. This colt can really move. His Dam has got some speed. Could go any direc on with him. Possible barrel horse.

17 LOT # PAINT GELDING BODACIOUS BY BO # SHANE FLANIGAN Bo is well gaited, but unlike many gaited horses, he can go along just fine and walk with non-gaited horses. He has been started on ranch roping and dragging to the fire, not finished in that skill yet, but on his way. He is great on trails, but doesn t need a trail he knows how to go bushwhacking if necessary. He handles steep hills whether up or down, and is solid footed. He is very good with shoeing and handling of his feet. He loads and unloads from a trailer safely and calmly. Bo is a big, 16 hh, 1200 lb, solid built horse than can easily carry a larger rider. At this point he is not a beginner s horse, but that may come down the line. He has been ridden double. I have been riding Bo in a US port mouthpiece and he neck reins well, moves off my leg well and is learning to work a rope.

18 LOT # GRULLA FILLY APHA ELIGIBLE PRESTON GROVER This filly's mother has been my favorite mare and has given me my favorite colts. Her father was the best looking horse I've owned, and was one of my favorite horses to ride. We lost him to a colic last fall, so this baby is one of the last out a great stallion.

19 LOT # SORREL GELDING IM NO SISSY STREAKER AQHA # PHYLLIS SINGLETON Streaker is a fancy, growthy 2 year old gelding. He has a good founda on. He is riding nice and quiet. Streaker will have the speed and size to stop a cow. He shoes and loads. Don't overlook him because of his age. He has been wormed.

20 LOT # GRULLA FILLY AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTERPRISES It is going to be hard to let this baby go! She has color, size, and a proven pedigree. Half-siblings on both sides have proven to be quality ranch horses. Don t let your neighbor take this one home, you will want her for yourself!

21 LOT # PALOMINO COLT AQHA ELIGIBLE DAVID REDD Really cute headed and balanced with a ton of shape. Athle c and from a proven sire. We have his full brother in training right now with Cody Hatcher. Cody really likes these HOMBRE DELL RED horses. In 2017 he won the San Juan Ranch Horse Futurity on Ty Hombre. They are real cowy and your go-to horse to get the job done.

22 LOT # GRAY GELDING IRON GRADE PHYLLIS SINGLETON Yearling iron gray colt. This was a late colt, born When we purchased him we were told we would get AQHA papers, but this never happened. We are selling him as grade for someone's riding prospect. He has been wormed. His feet have been trimmed.

23 LOT # DUN FILLY AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTERPRISES This is our first offering from our new, blue roan stallion, Rodeo. Her mother has both Whiskey and Cowboy in her bloodlines, which have produced great working ranch horses. It will be exci ng to see how this baby turns out!

24 LOT # RED DUN FILLY RR TYREE DASH A JOY AQHA # DAVID REDD This 3 year filly is very smart with a lot of heart. She has a good start but due to a slight injury she is being sold as a broodmare prospect. She is by TWO D CODY one of the great performance Stallions at Redd Ranches. Guaranteed in foal to the CORONA JACK "CJ" an own son of CORONA CALIENTE. Should produce a foal with a sharp mind and speed. She was started at Dillon Thatcher Horsemanship.

25 LOT # RED ROAN GELDING AQHA # BUTCH DORSCHER Eight year old Red Roan Gelding, 15.1 hands, 1150 pounds. He has been used in all aspects of ranch work, dragging calves to the fire and doctoring. Currently team roping on heading side. Easy to get along with. Will go all day. Has speed. Could be a good barrel horse.

26 LOT # PALOMINO FILLY AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTERPRISES This fancy palomino filly has a big hip. She is out of Running U stock, crossed with our Whiskey stallion. You can t go wrong with this baby!

27 LOT # SORREL/CHESTNUT COLT AQHA ELIGIBLE DAVID REDD This colt has all three top performance horse stallions in his pedigree; Redd Rooster, Two D Cody and Iam One Kool Buck. Very athle c with a good mind to go with it.

28 LOT # BAY GELDING TFR KATIES MAN AQHA # PHYLLIS SINGLETON Three year old bay gelding. This colt came out of Texas. He is quick and reining well. He has had more time spent on him that other young horses. He loads and shoes well, and hasn't shown us any buck. He has a good foundation to go in any discipline. He has been wormed.

30 LOT # GRAY GELDING ROSE IN THE BANK AQHA # CASEY VEACH, CHASE MURRAY AGENT Hank is a good and gentle horse to be around. He is easy to catch, shoe, and loads easily to haul. He has done a lot of work this spring/ summer tagging and branding calves. He is tough and has a big motor, one that will definitely go all day without quitting. At 4 years old, you could take him any direction you would like. Hank would make a great horse for just about anyone.

31 LOT # BUCKSIN/ROAN COLT AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTERPRISES David Ivins is riding a half-sibling to this baby in the futurity, and has him going great! This baby should be the same! This baby has both buckskin and roan, so no ma er what you do on this horse, you will look good doing it!

32 LOT # SORREL COLT GRADE BLACK DIAMOND RANCH This is another nice colt out of Frosty and a daughter of Buck, and probably the biggest hipped colt I have seen out of Frosty. He should be big and stout and ready to work for you in a couple of years. Sells grade.

33 LOT # BAY FILLY AQHA ELIGIBLE DAVID REDD Very nice filly. Cute head and neck with good balance. Her sire, Hombre Dell Red was the sire of the 2017 San Juan Ranch Horse Futurity winner. This filly is one you could make a top notch rope horse and when your done use her as a broodmare. Should produce excep onal babies.

34 LOT # BAY ROAN GELDING BLUE SAN SPARK AQHA # PRESTON GROVER I acquired Spark last fall as a long 3 year old. The previous owner was having trouble with him bucking them off. Since I have owned him, I have caught wild cows, drug calves to the fire, doctored cows, tagged calves, and put many long miles on him on ca le drives. He is a good, solid cowboy horse that I like more and more each me I ride him.

35 LOT # BAY ROAN FILLY AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTPERISES We are very pleased with the color and conforma on in this first baby out of one our new mares. This is another Whiskey baby that you can t go wrong with. You will want to take this baby home!

36 LOT # RED ROAN GELDING GDR ONE GUN SILVER AQHA # CASEY VEACH, CHASE MURRAY AGENT Good balance and heavy muscled. Will be one of those that can go all day and get real work done. Pedigree loaded with greatness.

37 LOT # SORREL GELDING RED GRADE PHYLLIS SINGLETON Red is a four year old sorrel grade gelding. He has had ground work and has been started 45 days. He isn't a people horse and is a li le hard to catch. He loads and shoes good. He will make a tough working ranch horse, but is not a finished horse yet. He has been wormed.

38 LOT # DUN COLT AQHA ELIGIBLE PRESTON GROVER I am currently riding a 3-year old brother out of this combo. He is one my favorites I have ever started.

39 LOT # BUCKSKIN STALLION CASINO ROPN MEAN AQHA # RYE HART, AGENT Preacher is a proven stallion. He is broke to ride and is used on the ranch. He throws both size and color. He has a super disposi on and is great minded.

40 LOT # BUCKSKIN HORSE COLT AQHA ELIGIBLE JM GROVER ENTEPRISES This baby is what keeps us breeding horses. The stars aligned for this offering! This is BJ s pick of the crop. Although the mother is gray, we have never had one her babies change color a er they were born. Jus- n Ivins rides a full sibling that is one of his go-to horses, and this baby should prove to be just as valuable. Trevor Palmer is compe ng in the futurity with a full sister and is pleased with how well she is turning out. We are not holding anything back; this is one fancy baby that we should be keeping. You won t be disappointed when you take this colt home.

41 LOT # SORREL/GRAY COLT AQHA ELIGIBLE DAVID REDD Oldest of our Flyin Gray Hocks colts. Watching this colt, he loves to run and can flat move. His Dam is one you could build a whole program with. Good old founda on blood with proven performance sires. Add the known speed on top, and this colt has the best of both worlds.

42 LOT # SORREL GELDING BEAR AQHA # SHANE FLANIGAN Bear is a 15.1 hand 1100 pound Sorrel Gelding. Bear is an excep onally flashy horse with a beau ful desired flaxen mane that draws the eye. He's pre y in mo on and well put together. From birth on, he learned to get his feet under him and travel out well. He went through the winter hanging out at the calving barn and being used to drag newborn calves in on a sled. He's naturally picked up on everything he needs to know and has the desired quali es of an awesome ranch horse, plus the bloodlines for athle cism, endurance, speed and cow. He's had a lot of miles put on his back on a cow/calf opera on, and many hours of roping calves and then standing quietly while tagging as well as having an outstanding performance in the branding pen where he was used to head and heel calves. I have been riding Bear in a Hackamore as well as Bridle, he does well in either one. Moves off my leg nicely and travels out very well. He is for a medium and above rider in their skill. He is a very personable horse and easy to get along with. He does not do well if someone is a "ram em, jam em, hollar and yell" type rider.

43 LOT # BAY PAINT LITTLE EVIL GRADE PHYLLIS SINGLETON Three year old bay paint grade gelding. This colt's sire was out of Evil Eye and an unregistered mare. He has a good foundation, but is not a finished horse. He has been wormed. He is good to shoe and load.
