2 Under instructions from Valmai & Roger James, due to ill health and change of farming policy, JJ Morris are pleased to announce the major reduction sale of the long established Coracle Herd of Pedigree Hereford Cattle (mostly polled) at Cardigan Mart on Monday, 3 rd to include: 20 cows & calves; 11 Incalf Heifers; 9 Bulling Heifers; 1 Wagyu Cow with Wagyu heifer calf 1 Wagyu Bull (3yo) The herd is BVD attested and vaccinated, Johnes attested and a member of the high health herd scheme. All the cows have been running with Freetown Jesse and the incalf heifers with a Wagyu bull and will be scanned prior to sale. The Hereford Bulls will be sold at a later date. Terms and Conditions AUCTION RULES: The Sale is held subject to the Auction Rules and Conditions of Sale recommended for use at Markets by the Livestock Auctioneers Association of England and Wales, a copy of which is available for inspection in the Office. ORDER & METHOD OF SALE: The Sale will progress strictly in catalogue order, unless any alteration is announced by the Auctioneers. All cattle will be sold in GUINEAS and SETTLEMENT IN FULL is due immediately at the close of Sale, and should be made at the Auctioneers desk in the Main Market Office. CREDIT and DEBIT CARD FACILITIES are available at this Sale. Please note there is a 2% charge on ALL Credit Cards. ALL CUSTOMERS REGISTERING NEW FOR ANY SALES at Beeston will be required to show Formal Identification in the form of a Drivers Licence, Current Utility Bill (less than 3 months old) or Bank Statement. Passports will not do. AGENCY BIDDING: Customers are reminded that if they are bidding as Agents they must produce to the Auctioneers before the Auction Sale a written authority from the person or persons on whose behalf they are bidding. If they do not, the Auctioneers are entitled to treat them as bidding on their own account and will invoice them personally for any purchase made. 3 Foreword The Coracle Herd was established in the mid 1960s with the first stockbull, Tyrbryn Inspector and some females from George Thorn. Crickley cows were purchased in the mid 80s and the first Coracle stockbull bred, Coracle Admiral son of Remitall Monarch. In 1984 the January Champion, Heaningmere Jura was purchased and then Lowesmoor Jazzman arrived as stock bull in the early 90s. Since then stockbulls were bred from home and up until recently have been Coracle 1 B.T., son of Udel Knight Flyer and Coracle Breage son of Badlingham Breage. Freetown Jesse was added to the bulls in October of 2014 and has been the herd sire since. In 2015 a Wagyu bull and heifer were purchased. The bull was used on the heifers as he was easy calving.
