2 SALE TERMS The highest bidder is to be the buyer. If any dispute arises between two bidders, sole authority to settle the dispute as he sees fit is reserved by the auctioneer, and his decision shall be final. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Terms of the sale are cash. Personal checks are considered cash. All foreign buyers must pay in U.S. funds. Visa and Mastercard accepted. All credit purchases are assessed a 5% handling fee. Absentees and phone bids are welcome, but be aware that if purchases are made by this method, payment MUST be wired the next business day. We strongly urge buyers to thoroughly examine the horses that interest them. All sales are absolute and final. Reimbursements will be a credit only for next year s horse sale. Horses are at the buyer s expense, risk, and responsibility from the time of purchase. No delivery will be made until a final settlement has been made. The buyer must make arrangements for the care of his horse if it is not taken on sale day. All horses are registered with the American Quarter Horse Association. Registration papers and transfers will be mailed directly to the AQHA office when payment of the horse is complete. A $20.00 transfer fee will be paid by the buyer. If the buyer is not an AQHA member, a $55.00 membership fee will be paid by the buyer as well. Health certificates will be issued for transportation purposes sale day by Chinook Veterinary Clinic within the United States. All Canadian buyers will need to get Federal Vet Stamp for purchased horses on Monday following sale. All horses will be Coggins tested, current on worming and vaccinations. Broodmares have been pasture exposed and are presumed to be in foal. Mares will be preg-tested with expected due dates posted at the sale. There is no live foal guarantee. Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy of the catalog, but sellers assume no responsibility for errors or omissions. We are very excited and proud of the horses we are offering for sale. The Weaver family has a long tradition of raising horses. The family came to Montana in 1888 and have been breeding and raising horses for 130 years. Our brand,, was recorded in the Weaver name in 1888 and our grandchildren are the sixth generation to ride horses with this brand. We feel very fortunate to be a part of a business that we love so much. We take great pride in our broodmares and the colts they produce for you, the buying public. We try to raise a horse that is versatile enough for any job you have for him or her. All of the weanlings will be halter broke, micro-chipped, and registered with the AQHA. He is that pretty golden buckskin color. We purchased GENNELY BUSY from Terri White and she was also the owner of TUF N BUSY. This was the colt she kept to replace TUF N BUSY, and we feel very fortunate to be able to own a horse of this caliber. It just doesn t get any better - not only does he have a great cow horse pedigree, he also has the color, looks and ability to back it up. GENNELY BUSY has a great cow horse pedigree. An own son of TUF N BUSY and TUF N BUSY S offspring have won over 3,740 AQHA points, 27 ROM winners, mostly in roping events; and he has sired 46 point earners out of 236 foals sired. Plus, they have won at all levels of roping from Amateur to PRCA with earnings in NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. GENNE LEIGH WRIGHT is an outstanding calf roping horse and is currently being hauled in the PRCA. She is an own daughter of LENA S WRIGHT ON. He has a LTE of $109,995 and won the NRHA futurity as a three-year-old and was an AQHA World Champion Working Cow Horse as a five-yearold. He is the sire of NRHA and NRCHA money earners as well as an AQHA Champion. This is our sixth crop by GENNELY BUSY. We are extremely proud of how his colts are breaking out and riding. I am riding a four-year-old that is a near perfect ranch horse - cowy, good-minded and wants to please. I couldn t be happier with Ricky. His colts are just starting to hit the roping pen, and that is where they are going to shine. He sires colts that have a lot of cow and that trainable mind.

5 Ima Tuf Lena IMA TUF LENA is a buckskin stallion who has really proven himself as a sire for us. He is well built, stands 14.3 hands and weighs 1000 pounds. Tuf has an exceptional hip and a kind, gentle disposition. He possesses great bone and has strong dark feet. TUF N BUSY, an own son of BUENO CHEX, has been to the World Show several times. He was fourth in Senior Heeling. He has his Superior in reining, heading and heeling. TUF N BUSY has sired five world champions. Four in the youth division - two in heading and two in heeling. In 2001, he sired the World Champion Junior Heeling Horse at the AQHA World Show. Tuf was not shown due to an injury, but when he was ridden and in training he showed great promises. He is extremely athletic, quick to learn and these are traits he has passed on to his offspring. Tuf was in training with JD Yates of Pueblo, CO. His father, Dick Yates, was quoted as saying, We were sorry to lose that colt as a prospect, he had a lot of talent - a strong statement for as many good horses as these guys have been around. JD Yates showed a daughter of Tuf in 2009, IMA TUF MISSY. IMA TUF MISSY was the AQHA High Point Junior Horse with 388 points in seven events. She qualified for the World Show in five events, and won Reserve World Champion Head Horse. In 2010 she received her ROM in Performance Halter. In 2011 she won the Congress in Ohio, and at the 2012 Sun Circuit in Arizona she was the high point all around horse and won over 80 points and a saddle. She has over 580 total AQHA points. She was the 2012 Reserve World Champion Head Horse. She also became an AQHA Champion in She is now making a name for herself on the Brazilian Show Circuit. We have three full sisters coming up for the broodmare band. The Tuf colts make great-minded ride horses with a lot of athleticism and cow. Tufs daughters are in production and are proving themselves to be exceptional mothers. Tuf has a lot of offspring in the roping arena. They are making great rope horses and have all of the ingredients to compete at a very high level. Tuf has become a popular sire for us as we have as many repeat buyers for his colts as any stallion we own. Four times his weanlings have topped the sale. We are glad people are enjoying his offspring. We have ridden Topaz on the ranch, he is extremely athletic, very willing and cowy, His sire, WR THIS CATS SMART, is one of High Brow Cats top sons. He has won $236,514 in cutting and was the NCHA Open Finals Champion. His offspring have earnings of over 9 million. He was the #1 leading sire of Reined Cow Horses in 2017 and 8th in the nation in Cutting in He is a very versatile sire and you are now seeing a lot in the roping pen. His mother, PADDYS TOPAZ is one of the 6666 s top mares. She is the granddaughter of the great mare CASEY S LOVELADY, inducted into the 2017 AQHA Hall of Fame. Every one of her stud colts have been retained for stallion prospects and the 6666 s Ranch has retained all of her daughters. She is the mother to their new stallion, JESSES TOPAZ. One of the truly great young sires of the breed. SMART TOPAZ will become a Weaver Quarter Horse mover as well. He looks more like his sire everyday. We are really excited about Marco and what he brings to the program. We really like his pedigree with a lot of speed and a shot of cow. Marco is sired by A SMOOTH GUY, one of FRENCHMANS GUY S top sons. A SMOOTH GUY is a leading sire of horses sold in 2015, 2016 and He is the sire of SMOOTH N FAMOUS, a multiple Futurity finalist and earnings to date of $160,000 and A SMOOTH MOVIN GUY, the 2018 Reserve Champion in Old Fort Days Futurity. His colts are competing in all disciplines. A SMOOTH GUY is known for siring level-headed horses that are easy to train. Marco sure fits the mold, as he is extremely smart and willing to learn. We had the misfortune of losing Cowboy last year halfway through the breeding season. His colts are nice to halter break with that trainable mind. His oldest colts for us are four-year-olds and are extremely nice to be around and ride. Cowboy s colts are exceedingly well-minded and trainable, and those who are riding his colts are all very pleased with them. These Cowboy colts will have the mind and performance to take you to any level you want to go. I have several four-year-old fillies that had their first colts this year. Cowboy s colts are doing everything from Mounted Shooting to roping, to barrels. This is the last set of Cowboy colts offered this year and we kept several daughters for the broodmare band. Streaker s mother is an own daughter of PADDYS IRISH WHISKEY who has become one of the top broodmare sires of performance horses. We feel STREAKN N MOVEN has a great future here at Weaver Quarter Horses. Because we pasture breed all of our mares, we have him on an alternating breeding schedule. 42 AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeders & Ranching Heritage Challenge Programs The American Quarter Horse Association is committed to the promotion of the ranch horse. There are programs to help ranchers to market their ranch-bred American Quarter Horses and opportunities for ranch-bred horses to be showcased in competition. Ranching Heritage Breeders Program Ranching Heritage Breeders are AQHA member-owned ranches and individuals who represent longevity, honesty and integrity in raising quality American Quarter Horses and uphold ranching heritage traditions. Ranching Heritage Breeders must own at least five AQHA-registered mares used to produce ranch horses and must maintain a remuda of horses used to operate a working cattle operation. The ranch also must have received an AQHA 10-year breeder award to be eligible for the program. The horses that come from Ranching Heritage Breeders uphold the tradition and heritage of the working cattle ranch and when horses are purchased from a Ranching Heritage Breeder, that great tradition continues. Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge The Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge is a way to showcase ranch-bred American Quarter horses. The Challenges offer multiple divisions for various ages and skill levels for both horse and rider. Classes include working ranch horse, ranch riding, team roping and barrel racing. To be eligible, horses must have been bred by a Ranching Heritage Breeder, plus all payments weanling, yearling, 2-year-old and 3-year-old must be complete in order to compete. Those payments generate the purses for Ranching Heritage Challenge events. There s more than $90,000 up for grabs at this year s six events, plus there will be a Zoetis RHC Finals held in conjunction with the 2018 Zoetis Versatility Ranch Horse World Championship Show at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. American Quarter Horse Association Executive Committee Though AQHA operates primarily upon the decisions of its members through the board of directors, the five-person executive committee is responsible for implementing these important decisions and governing AQHA between the annual meetings of the membership and the board. The AQHA Executive Committee - consisting of a president, first vice president, second vice president and two additional members - is elected each year by the board at the AQHA Convention. Each member serves a term of one year until the selection of his/her successor. The executive committee convenes bimonthly at AQHA International Headquarters in Amarillo to conduct business and consider all disciplinary matters. 43 Weaver Quarter Horses Dear Friends, We would all like to welcome you to our 23rd Annual Production Sale. We are so glad you are here and really appreciate your interest in our horses, as well as your continued patronage over the years marks the 130th year the Weaver family has been raising horses in Montana. KellyAnne and Casey still live in Lewistown, MT. KellyAnne took a position as the General Manager of The Calvert Hotel. Casey continues to manage a ranch in the Snowy Mountains. Wyatt (15) once again worked all summer on the ranch and we always enjoy having him here. Wyatt will do any job you ask of him and always does it well. Wyatt looks forward to hunting season each year. He is in wrestling during school, and will be a sophomore this year. Avery (13) will be in 8th grade this year and loves to spend her free time hours with friends. Avery plays school and club volleyball, and participates in cheerleading and dance. David and Stacie still live in Bozeman, MT where David works as a bail bondsman. Wesley (21 months) loves to be outside and around the animals. He enjoys his time with his cousins at the ranch and helping Grammy in her secret garden. Hailey (14) spent the summer with David and they got to do lots of fun activities around the state - especially fishing! David comes back to the ranch to help out and to halter break the colts. Daniel leases a hay place at Denton, Mt and works at the ranch runing cattle, farming and helping out with the horses. Daniel and Danielle got marrid in 2017 and live in Big Sandy where Dr. Danielle is the pharmacist. They split thier time between town and the ranch. This is my fourth year on the AQHA Executive Commitee, and next year I will be President of the AQHA, an honor I am looking forward to. If any of you have comments or concerns regarding the AQHA I invite you to get a hold of me. I am glad to have a supportive family because I am traveling a lot at this time. As I write this we are getting ready for a trip to the European National Championships in Munich, Germany. Nancy, Daniel and Danielle will be joining me. Nancy travels most of the time with me and David and KellyAnne will help out Daniel when they are needed. I still really enjoy my time with the mares and colts, and all that the breeding operation entails. I like to see the next generation of Weaver Quarter Horses on the ranch each year. Nancy maintains her role of being active in the community and continues to serve on the Central Montana Medical Center Advisory Board and the Montana Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Western Music Rendezvous.
