2 Rules of Entry When entering a pony / horse it is a condition of entry that these rules are abided by. 1. It is the exhibitors responsibility to ensure they are present in the ring at the start of the class. 2. Refunds of class fees will not be given if exhibitors miss their class. 3. The Judges decision is final. 4. The judge may withhold any prize where there is an evident want of merit. 5. Riders of stallions must be aged 12 years + for small breeds and 14 years + for large breeds. 6. Objections Any objections to be made in writing to the Secretary with a deposit of cash, which will be returned if the objection is upheld. All objections must be made within 30 minutes of the class taking place. 7. The Officials and Council of the NCPA accept no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the Showground, car parks or approaches. All entries are subject to these conditions. 8. Exhibitors alone are solely responsible for the accuracy and eligibility of their entries. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied with the correct fee. In the event of an entry proving incorrect, (whether by mistake or otherwise), the entry fee will not be returned. 9. An Exhibitor may not exhibit a pony / horse bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge, their immediate family or their employer. 10. The Committee reserves the right to expel from the class or Showground any animal not considered to be under control, especially where a danger to the public could be created. 11. The Committee reserves the right to cancel, amalgamate or divide any class should entries so warrant. 12. No substitute or nomination entries will be allowed. 13. In the event of the Show being cancelled by events beyond our control, a 5.00 administration fee will be deducted from each Exhibitor. 14. All persons entering the Showground must have personal third party insurance. 15. This Show operates under the NCPA Child and Vulnerable Persons Protection Policy. 16. Show canes and whips must not be more than 30 inches long. 17. Ponies / horses must leave the ring at walk. 18. Correctly secured BSI skull caps/riding hats - BS 4772/6473/EN 1384/PAS 015 must be worn at all times 19. Lead Rein Classes: Ponies to be shown in a snaffle bridle and the lead rein to be attached to the nose band on which it must remain whilst the pony is in the ring. Whilst in the ring, the pony must be led at all times. 20. First Ridden Classes: Ponies to be shown in a suitable bridle. No cantering allowed except for individual show. 21. Foals must accompany mares in the ring and be at least three weeks old on the day of the Show. 22. Mountain and Moorland ponies must be shown in their natural state and must be registered with their respective Breed Society, and the registration number quoted on the entry form. 23. All Stallions and Colts must be licenced as stipulated by their relevant breed society and must handled by a person over 14 years of age and be adequately bitted and under control. 24. No litter to be left on the Showground. CLEANING OUT HORSEBOXES & TRAILERS IS STRICTLEY FORBIDDEN. 25. All Exhibitors must be wearing the allocated number for the Exhibit when entering the ring; 26. Dogs must be on a lead and supervised at all times. 27. Handlers and Grooms must be appropriately dressed. 28. Anyone found to be mistreating a horse or pony may be asked to leave the show ground, and reported to the appropriate body. 29. All horses and ponies must have a valid passport which should accompany the animal on show days. 30. All CHAPS Stallions must wear ID Discs in the Ring 31. No late entries or entries on the day can be taken for the Welsh In Hand classes 1 to Handlers in IN-Hand classes ages 14 years and under, must wear a correctly secured current British Standard skull cap or riding hat. 33. Rosettes to 6th place in all classes 34. All Champions are eligible for either ridden supreme or in-hand supreme 35. W.P.C.S. Medals/Rosettes to be awarded to the Champion or Reserve of each Section of the Stud Book, as per the Regulations governing Medal Awards of the W.P.C.S. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Logan These classes are qualifiers for the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA) National Breed Show, The Traditional of the Year Show TOYS 18th and 19th September 2015 at Onley Grounds EC, Warwickshire. These classes are open to all traditional gypsy cobs. You do not need to be a current member or to have your horse registered with the TGCA in order to take part in these classes. Qualification will go to the top 3 in each section, youngstock, not exceeding 142 cm and exceeding 142 cm in senior in hand and ridden classes. All exhibits must be registered (passports over-stamped) and owners and handlers be fully paid up members either prior to, or within 21 days of the show date. Existing members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Non members will receive a qualification card from the judge and need to join the TGCA and register their horse within the 21 day timeframe in order to validate this qualification. Please put the show number on your card. All stallions (four years and over) must be licensed with the TGCA prior to the show and must display their TGCA stallion disc on their bridle when competing in order to qualify for TOYS. Non licensed stallions may compete in the classes but are not eligible for qualification. All stallions and colts (two years and over) must be bitted when in the ring. Foals born in the current year are not permitted to be shown in TGCA classes, though they may be shown at TOYS. Ridden Classes: Exhibits must be 4 years and over and comply with the above. Additional TOYS qualification is awarded to the highest placed junior rider and the highest placed exhibitor eligible for the restricted category in the class (i.e. rider and exhibit NOT to have qualified for HOYS, RIHS, Olympia or been placed 1st to 3rd at county level or any TOYS Finals in the past 24 months). Cards need to be signed for the categories. The TGCA Quest for a Star is open to top three places from the TGCA youngstock, senior in hand and ridden qualification classes. This class is only open to current TGCA members (membership cards must be presented on entering the ring) with registered cobs with showing cards which must be presented. Stallions must be licensed with the TGCA and display their TGCA stallion disc on their bridle. The Quest Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star s at TOYS Anyone not presenting their membership card, showing card or displaying a stallion disc MAY NOT take part in the TGCA Quest. The Ultimate Star at TOYS will be split into youngstock, senior in hand and ridden classes Class 60 TGCA in hand 1,2,3 year old- colt, filly and gelding.
