NOTICE TO COMPETITIORS Disclaimer The Gloucester AH&P Association Inc, Committee members, Officials, Volunteers, Medical Personnel, any person, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, owners & lesser of premises or sites WILL NOT accept liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, handlers, beasts, ground spectators or any other person or property whatsoever and all competitors WILL NOT be allowed to compete or enter the ring/arena unless a Waiver and Indemnity form has been signed and a WRIST BAND is worn. The Waiver and Indemnity is required to be signed on the day when purchasing ring passes. On receipt of the signed Waiver & Indemnity the WRIST BAND will be issued. The showground is a licensed area. NO alcohol to be brought onto the Showground HELP NEEDED Your show is run by volunteers. We need more help if the Horse Shows are to continue. 3 CONDITIONS 1. All Exhibitors and Competitors competing in horse ring events and spectators wishing to enter the ring must sign Indemnity & Waiver forms, All competitors must include PIC numbers on forms. Forms must be filled out and signed to receive wrist bands prior to entering ring area. Wrist bands must be worn at all times. 2. Measuring All horses in measurement specified classes must be measured before 7:30am on day of judging. All horses or ponies are subject to be measured according to the discretion of the judges. 1cm will be allowed for horses wearing shoes. 3. ADULT A person who has attained their 17th birthday 4. CHILD A person who has not attained their 17th birthday. 5. LOCAL Residing within the former boundaries Gloucester Shire for three months or be a member of the Gloucester Pony Club. 6. MAIDEN A horse or rider that has not won a similar event at any organised agricultural show. 7. NOVICE Horse or Rider is one who has NOT won a 1st Ribbon in a similar event at any recognised Agricultural, breed or Royal Show Including Bathurst. 8. INTERMEDIATE Having not won a 1st, 2nd or 3rd placing in a solo event in a similar height class at any Royal Show. 9. Funkana/Unofficial ring is designed to give inexperienced riders an opportunity to participate in the Show. Any ribbons or places awarded in the Funkana classes are not classified as official classes for the purpose of attracting points for eligibility to compete at the Sydney Royal or equivalent Shows. Should any rider enter these unofficial classes without the correct armband, points acquired from official classes will be revoked. 10. Show Hunter Horses Competitors competing in Show Hunter Classes may not compete in hack classes. Competitors must DECIDE which classes they wish to compete in. (ASHH members only to compete special ASHH classes) 11. Stallions are not eligible to compete in classes other than those specially provided for. No stallions/colts to be handled or ridden by persons under the age of 17 years. Stallions/ Colts while in the ring must wear a bridle with a bit. Stallions/Colts must be double tied. 12. Electric fences/ electric tape or electric fence equipment is NOT permitted to be erected on the grounds. 13. All juniors under the age of 17 years while riding or handling a horse on the Gloucester showground must wear an approved safety helmet. All other competitors are encouraged to wear safety helmets when competing. 14. The judge need not award prizes for exhibits in any class which does not in his/her opinion posses sufficient merit. 15. In awarding the championship, unless otherwise stated, the first prize winner in each class is eligible to compete. 16. In awarding the reserve championship, unless otherwise stated, the first prize winner in each class other than the champion is eligible to compete together with the 2 nd prize winner from the class or classes from which the champion was drawn. 17. All breed classes are only open to horses registered with that breed and owned by current financial members. Registration and Membership papers may be asked to be sighted Horse & Ring Schedule

4 CONDITIONS Continued. 18. The age of all horses to be calculated from the 1 st August. Every horse foaled before the 1st August in the year shall be deemed to be 1 year old on that date. Fillies and colts to be under The committee reserves the right to alter, vary or delete and clause or event in the program, and to make any investigation they deem necessary, until enquiries are finalised. 20. Age for children s events age of child determined on the first day of the show 21. Entry fees all classes $3.00 unless otherwise stated. Entry fees WILL NOT be refunded. 22. Horse stalls - $5.00 per day, Stallion boxes - $10.00 per day. Please BOOK IN ADVANCE. 23. Prize money/ Voucher all classes 1st - $8.00, 2nd - $4.00, 3rd ribbon, unless stated on schedule. 24. Prize money/ Vouchers not collected within 4 weeks of the conclusion of the show will be forfeited. 25. Misconduct includes and conduct that is inimical to the interests of the Gloucester AH&P Assoc or which is or may be prejudicial to the health or wellbeing of a horse and also includes a) Any breach of these rules b)any conduct considered by the committee to be unsportsmanlike or to be contrary to the manner in which a person ought to behave. c) Any conduct that injures or may induce a breach of the peace or which is or may be a nuisance. d) Any conduct which does or might prejudice the smooth running or interfere with the conduct of the show. 25. Drug testing may be carried out at this show. Any owner and/or exhibitor who presents, which test positive to a prohibited substance will be subject to investigation by the ASC Disciplinary Committee. Any penalty imposed as a result of an infringement will be fully supported by this society. 26. The showground is a licensed area, under no circumstances is any alcohol to be brought onto the showgrounds. 27. Committee members reserve the right to refuse any exhibit to the ground, refer horse handling Waiver. PROTESTS Any exhibitor who desires to enter a protest against and decision on the part of the judge, or any decision or act or omission on the part of the Association shall lodge a protest in writing within 1 hour on the day upon which the decision, act or omission occurred. This protest shall set out in detail the circumstances relied upon by such exhibitor and shall be given to or left at the main secretary s office, accompanied by a fee of $100.00, which shall be forfeited to the Association should the protest be deemed frivolous.
