3 SCHEDULE (please refer to the General Rules at the back of this schedule) ENTRIES ON THE DAY - 5 per class PLEASE PRE-COMPLETE ENTRY FORM AND BRING ON THE DAY PRIZES Rosettes 1 st 6 th in Classes 1 39 Rosettes 1 st 4 th in classes A rosette will be awarded to the highest placed YFC member in Classes Membership number must be stated on entry form. A Cup will be awarded to the YFC member who gains most points in ALL classes. Membership number must be stated on entry form to be eligible. 4 RING ONE Working Hunter Pony/Horse Judging to commence at 10:00am Judge: Mr Guy Hawken (please refer to the General Rules at the back of this schedule) Class 1 Ridden Hunter Pony under 15hh Class 2 Ridden Hunter 15hh and over Class 3 Ridden Cob not to exceed 15.1hh Ridden Hunter Championship 1 st & 2 nd place in classes 1-3 Class 4 Novice Working Hunter Pony not to exceed 15hh. Jump height 2 3 max (The combination not to have won an Open Working Hunter Pony Class) Class 5 Working Hunter Pony under 15hh. Jump height 2 6 max Class 6 Novice Working Hunter 15hh and over. Jump height 2 6 max (The combination not to have won an Open Working Hunter Class) Class 7 Working Cob not to exceed 15.1hh. Jump height 2 9 max Class 8 Working Hunter 15hh and over. 5 RING ONE Cont.. Judging to commence after Class 8 has finished Mountain and Moorland Judge: Mrs Heather Banbury Section Rules (please also refer to the General Rules at the back of this schedule) 1. All ponies must be pure bred native ponies (Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland and Welsh Section A,B,C,D.) 2. Ponies must be shown in NATURAL STATE. NO PLAITING. NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 5th -7th August The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. M&M In Hand Classes The NPS M&M Home Produced In Hand National Championship (MM-HPIH) These classes are open to pure bred registered M&M ponies which are either stabled at home or in a DIY yard and which since 1st January in the current year have not been shown by a producer or stabled in a producer s yard other than on a DIY basis or at stud. Ponies shown in these classes must be produced and shown by the owner/spouse, or his/her Immediate Family, who does not derive income from working with ponies or horses. Please enter this class in the spirit it is intended. Competitors who contravene the above will be disqualified. Class 9 Small Breeds, stallions, mares and geldings any age Class 10 Large Breeds, stallions, mares and geldings any age In Hand Mountain & Moorland Championship 1 st & 2 nd place in classes 9 and 10 NPS M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship (SM-MMIH) Sponsored by KILMANNAN STUD A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M In Hand section. The Sponsor s Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the qualification. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification.

6 M&M Ridden Classes Class 11 The NPS M&M Leading Rein National Championship (MM-LR) Kindly sponsored by MICOR DEMOLITION LTD Open to registered Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh Section A or B mares and geldings four years old or over not exceeding 122 cm. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday but must not have attained their 9th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. To be shown in a snaffle bit. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification. SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP Champion from the ridden hunter, the working hunter, the M&M in hand, the M&M ridden, the miniature pony, the showing in hand, the showing ridden championships to come forward for the judging of the supreme Champion at the end of the day.

7 RING TWO Showing Classes Judging to commence at 9:00am Judge: Mrs Jan Nicholls (please refer to the General Rules at the back of this schedule) Miniature Horses 1st, 2nd and 3rd in classes will qualify for the Miniature Horse of the Year Show to be held on 25th and 26th October 2014, at Arena UK Grantham. All exhibits are to be owned by Members of IMHPS and registered with IMHPS. Membership cards to be shown on qualifying. 15 Filly, Colt or Gelding Yearling. 16 Filly or Gelding, Two or Three years old. 17 Colt or Stallion, Two years and over. 18 Mare or Gelding, Four years old or over. 19 Scaled down Show Hack, any age, sex or colour. 20 Broken Coloured or Spotted, any age or sex. Class 21 1, 2, 3 year olds any breed Class 22 Best Grass Kept Horse or Pony in hand Miniature Horse Championship 1 st and 2 nd place in classes Class 23 Skewbald/Piebald Horse or Pony in hand any age Class 24 Veteran Horse-Pony 15 years and over (age to be stated) in hand Class 25 Young Handler 18 years and under (No colts or stallions) (This class is a qualifier for the NPA of Cornwall - Chywoon Young Handler Championship to be held at the Cornish Country Fair, Stithians on 24/08/ st & 2 nd place to qualify). In Hand Championship 1 st and 2 nd place in classes 21-25

9 RING THREE Unaffiliated Jumping Judging to commence at 10:00am Judge: Mrs Jenny Trethewey (please refer to the General Rules at the back of this schedule) Class 33 Novice Horse/Rider (combination not to have won a first prize) height 2 max Class 34 Open Jumping height 2 3 max Class 35 Open Jumping height 2 6 max Classes will be run under BS table A5 (If you have a clear round, you must wait for the bell to ring and then start your jump off immediately) Class 36 Open Jumping under 15hh height 2 9 max Class 37 Open Jumping 15hh and over height 2 9 max Class 38 Open Jumping max height 3 Class 39 Open Jumping max height 3 3 RING FOUR To commence at 9:30am Clear Round Jumping (please refer to the General Rules at the back of this schedule) Entry Fee: 1 at Ring Entrance (All clear rounds receive a rosette) Open Clear Round Jumping (including lead rein)

10 RING FIVE Gymkhana Judging to commence at 2pm approx Judge: Mr Mitchell Hawken Section Rules (please also refer to the General Rules at the back of this schedule) a. Hard hats must be worn. b. No whips, sticks, spurs or martingales to be used. c. Rider to be correct height / weight for pony / horse. d. No lead reins in 9-12 classes or 13+ classes. Entry Fee: 1 at Ring Entrance Class 40: Fancy Dress - Open Class 41: Sack Race - 8 years and under must be led Class 42: Sack Race - 9 years old to 12 years old Class 43: Sack Race - 13 years old and over Class 44: Musical Sacks -8 years and under must be led Class 45: Musical Sacks - 9 years old to 12 years old Class 46: Musical Sacks -13 years old and over Class 47: Potato Race - 8 years and under must be led Class 48: Potato Race - 9 years old to 12 years old Class 49: Potato Race - 13 years old and over Class 50: Egg and Spoon - 8 years and under must be led Class 51: Egg and Spoon - 9 years old to 12 years old Class 52:Egg and Spoon - 13 years old and over Class 53: Walk, Trot & Run- 8 years and under must be led Class 54: Walk, Trot & Lead 9 years old to 12 years old Class 55: Walk, Trot & Lead 13 years old and over Class 56: Down and Out Open Class 57: Consolation Open PRIZES Rosettes 1-4

11 GENERAL RULES 1. The organisers reserve the right to cancel, amend or amalgamate any or all of the classes. 2. Approved hard hats MUST be worn at all times when riding. 3. The judges decision is final. 4. Competitors numbers must be collected from Secretary s Office. 5. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. 6. Any rider having a fall in the ring must leave the ring unmounted and go to the First Aid post for a checkup. 7. All competitors should make themselves fully aware of the Health & Safety standards at shows. 8. Any stallion MUST wear a BLUE tail ribbon whilst at the showground. 9. Any horse/pony known to kick must wear a RED tail ribbon whilst at the showground. 10. Cornwall Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs will not be responsible for any accident or damage. 11. Entries will only be accepted with the appropriate Entry Fees. Cheques payable to CFYFC. 12. Refunds will not be given in the event that classes clash or you decide to leave the show early we cannot predict timings and all proceeds are for charity!
