Drivers must co- operate with the parking attendants to maximise space. Only vehicles towing floats and horse trucks will be allowed to enter showgrounds. Exit via same gate. (Saturday- no exit until finish of grand parade) (Sunday- no exit until 11am) Occupants of vehicles (except driver) must pay the appropriate entry fee as follows Adults $15, Children over 5/Students/Aged Pensioners $10, Children under 5 Free Family Pass $40 PER DAY STALLS $10 per day CAMPING $30 per day MUST BE BOOKED PRIOR TO SHOW contact ring@mudgeerabashow.org.au REGULATIONS/NOTES 1. Free admission for driver of horse float only, all other persons must pay admission fee on entering the grounds. 2. Nomination fee of $4 per horse, per class, unless otherwise stated, must be paid on nomination, cash only accepted, no eftpos. 3. All nomination fees stated in schedule include GST. All prize money excludes GST. 4. Nominations will be accepted from Sat 7am- 3pm, Sunday 7am- 1pm. Online nominations up to Wed 21 June. 5. One nomination form is required for each competitor. All competitors must fill in a nomination form for every class. 6. Due to Bio- security regulations Horse Health Declarations are mandatory to gain access to our showgrounds. This form will be checked by a steward on entering the showgrounds, no horse can be unloaded until form completed and checked. Form is then required to be handed in when nominating. 7. Release and Waiver of Liability forms are required for each competitor and are available to be downloaded on our website. 8. No entry will be received from any person disqualified by the Qld Chamber of Agricultural Societies during the period of disqualification. In the event of acceptance, upon discovery, such entry will be deemed void and any fees retained. 9. No person may converse with a Judge, except when receiving directions from the Judge, without the permission if the steward in attendance. Any person whether competitor or spectator, who harasses a Judge or Steward, will be removed from the grounds and all awards forfeited. 10. All exhibits must be presented in show condition to the satisfaction of the stewards. 11. Judges are under no obligation to award any prize if they consider the exhibit is not of sufficient merit. 12. All competitors must be correctly attired. The decision of the Ringmaster, Marshalling Steward or any steward as to whether or not competitors attire is suitable, shall be final. 13. All competitors/exhibitors riding a horse must wear approved safety helmets to the current Australian, European or American Standard (Australian Standard AS/NZ : European- EN1384:USA- ASTMF1163) whilst mounted on a horse on the Mudgeeraba showgrounds. The restraining helmet harness must be secured and fastened at all times. 14. All competitors must comply with the acceptable safety practices as determined by the Ringmaster, Marshalling Steward or any steward. 15. All competitors ride at their own risk. The Mudgeeraba Show Society Inc. will not accept any liability for any accident, loss or injury to horses, riders or spectators. 16. Mudgeeraba Show Society reserves the right in its absolute discretion to take such action as a Veterinary Surgeon may advise in relation to any animal including administration of any drug or form of treatment or removal of the exhibit from any location to another location (in or out of the showground). 17. Random drug testing may be carried out at this show. 18. No class will be delayed for any competitor/exhibitor under any circumstances. 19. No electric fences will be permitted on the grounds. 20. No dogs are allowed on the grounds. Any dogs on the grounds will be impounded. 21. No persons other than competitors will be allowed in the show ring or alley. 22. Ages of all horses to be calculated at August 1 st. 23. Ages of all competitors to be calculated as at the 1 st day of the Mudgeeraba show- i.e. 24 June All horse in Breed Led- in or Breed Ridden classes must be registered with their respective breed, society or assoc. 25. Registration papers must be produced on request. 26. Stallions cannot compete with Geldings or Mares in Hack or Riding classes. Stallions should wear official discs at all times whilst on the grounds. These discs are to be worn on both sides of head collars and bridles or on same part of the horse on both sides to identify to others that the horse is a stallion. No stallion is to be moved around grounds without displaying the stallion discs and a suitable restraint. The restraint can be a bridle, a rearing bit or a chain lead rein over the nose or under the jaw. 27. Local Horse means the owner, rider and horse in any local event must have resided within 30km radius of Mudgeeraba Post office for a period of at least three (3) months prior to the show. 28. Maiden is a horse which has never won a 1 st place at any agricultural show. 29. Novice is a horse which has never won a Open Championship at any agricultural show. 30. Intermediate is a horse which has never won 1 st, 2rd or 3 rd place at a Royal Show 31. Pleasure Hack is to be ridden in a snaffle bit. 32. Galloways must not compete in both Galloway and Hack classes. 33. Ponies n.e 12.2h only to be ridden by a child under 17yrs, ponies over 12.2h can be ridden by an adult or child. 34. Protests in writing with a $50 cash fee must be lodged with the Ring Coordinator no later than one(1) hour after the judges award. The outcome of all disputes will be determined by the ring committee and their decision will be final. 35. The ring programme is subject to alteration at the discretion of the Ring committee. PRIZES: Unless stated differently are as follows: 1 st $10 plus Blue Ribbon, 2 nd $5 plus Red Ribbon, 3 rd $3 plus White Ribbon, 4 th Green Ribbon 5 th Pink Ribbon. 2 RING PROGRAM SATURDAY 24 JUNE 2017 Please note all rings will stop for grand parade and resume immediately after parade is finished. Ages of all horses to be calculated at August 1 st. Age of competitors as at the 1 st day of the Mudgeeraba show. NOTE: Horses must either compete in the Show Hunter or Open ring, they may not compete in both. Ponies n.e. 12.2hh only to be ridden by a child under 17yrs, over 12.2hh can be ridden by an adult or child. SHOW JUMPING WALK THE COURSE COMMENCING 8.00AM SHOWJUMPING STARTS AT 8.30AM These events are run under EA RULES All jumping events for Saturday programme are unofficial. Due to time constraints, only 2 height classes allowed per horse. All riders must be correctly attired, NO jeans or t- shirts allowed, jackets optional. If the competitor has two or more horses competing in a show jumping class they may have one strapper/handler in the marshalling area to assist, the strapper/handler is at the discretion of the Ring Co- ordinator. All other spectators, parents, guardians, trainers or coaches must remain outside the ring. Anyone found to be disobeying this rule will be disqualified. All showjumping will be conducted under EA rules. Junior riders must be registered EA members to compete in open classes. Junior riders must be under 18 years of age (on 1 st day of show). Juniors cannot compete in both graded and junior events on the same horse. Dress: Shirt and tie, jodhpurs and a jacket must be worn. If the competitor has two or more horses competing in a show jumping class they may have one strapper/handler in the marshalling area to assist, the strapper/handler is at the discretion of the Ring Co- ordinator.
