The Bluestem Miniature Horse Club is the sponsor. Neither the Show, the Bluestem Club, the Lancaster Event Center nor anyone working with the show will be held responsible for any accidents that may occur to persons, animals, or property. AWARDS AND PRIZES: Ribbons awarded for First through Sixth place with participant ribbons to all other exhibitors. Medallions or Rosettes will be awarded in Junior, Senior and Grand championship classes. Special Award for Amateur Champion of Champions (1 st place Amateur S/M/G). ENTERING YOUR HORSE: Send completed entry form(s) and copy of up-to-date Registration Certificates for each animal. Please copy front and back, if needed, to verify current owner/lessee. Include copies of Youth and Amateur membership cards with your entry if applicable. Amateur and Youth applications will also be available at the show office. Submit all fees due with your entry. ENTRY DEADLINES: Early Bird entry fee available if entries are postmarked 6/25/18. Regular entry fees apply after 6/25/18. ENTRY FEES: Early Bird entry fees (postmarked by 6/25/18) are $80.00 unlimited classes or $35.00 for single classes. Regular entry fees are $85.00 unlimited classes or $40.00 for single classes. ENTRY POLICY: Entries accepted are considered final, refunds will not be given. If your horse is unable to compete due to illness or injury you may enter a substitute with no penalty upon presentation of documentation from your veterinarian stating the original entry is unable to compete due to illness or injury. If you are unable to attend the show due to an emergency situation the Club will issue you credit to be used at a future Club show. FACILITIES & CAMPING: The Lancaster Event Center (LEC) is located at 4100 North 84 th Street, on the East side of Lincoln, NE. Driving directions: Exit #405 from Interstate #80, to Cornhusker Hwy, left to 84 th Street, South to Event Center or Waverly Exit from Interstate #80, West to 84 th Street, South to Event Center. Completely enclosed facilities with wash racks, restrooms, and lunch stand. Camping facilities (including electricity) are available for $25 per outlet per show day, purchase online at the LEC website ( or at Concession Stand or Facility Office when you arrive. Payment for Camping will be made to Lancaster Event Center at the time of purchase. GATE HOLDS: As a courtesy to your fellow exhibitors, please report all Gate Holds to the Office in advance of your class, every effort will be made to allow you the time you need. Once a class is given the final call the gate will be closed in two (2) minutes and no late exhibitors will be allowed to enter the ring. 2 Lincoln Convention & Visitors Bureau MEASUREMENT TIMES: Measuring Thursday, July 12 th 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday, July 13 th at 7:00 am and as needed and as Steward is available. NO REFUNDS Entries accepted are considered final, refunds will not be given. If your horse is unable to compete due to health reasons, and a signed veterinarian's statement is presented prior to its first entered class, you may apply previously paid fees towards a substitute horse. If you are unable to attend the show due to an emergency situation the Club will issue you credit to be used at a future Club show. No refunds will be given for any unused portion of fees paid. NON-RATED CLASSES (NR): Amateur Champion of Champions to be judged from the 1 st place Amateur Stallion, Mare & Gelding in each division with one winner placed. Non-Amateur may show back for an Amateur with more than one exhibit in the finals. VSE/Small Pony Carriage Driving (<39 ) and Small Ponies ( hands) will follow the style and spirit of the ASPC Carriage rules. Wood or rubber wheels allowed. Two-Go Driving Derby A Driving Derby is a recognized American Driving Society division which is a fast paced, timed event through cones and obstacles with a set pattern. Two divisions are offered at this show; Very Small Equine (VSE < 39 ) and Small Pony (39 to 12.2 hands). A Driving Derby tests the driver s and horse s skills to make sharp turns and go fast without errors. Music accompanies the driver while they make their run for a fun-filled spectator friendly event. The Driving Derby will have two goes and offer an over-all placing, enter each go as a separate class. Horses & Ponies in the non-rated & Derby classes do not need be registered and do not need to be measured. SHOW & STALL LOCATIONS: The show will be in the Multi- Purpose Arena (MPA) and all stalling will be in Pavilion 2. STALLS AND SHAVINGS: Stalls for horses and/or tack are $70.00 (Thursday 2pm arrival through the end of the ASPC / AMHR show Saturday). $35.00 for the Sunday Show (Saturday arrival through the end of the show Sunday). Stalls must be ordered on entry form. All horses must be stalled, no jumpout allowed. Early Arrival/Late Departure (times before or after these require an additional $25.00 fee per stall). Shavings will be available for $9.00 each plus sales tax at the show, purchase from Concession Stands or Facility Office when you arrive and they will be delivered to your stalls or order on-line (preferred) Outside bedding is not allowed; users of outside bedding are subject to a $50.00 fine levied by LEC. Payment for Shavings will be made to Lancaster Event Center at the time of purchase. TACK CHANGES/GATE HOLDS: As a courtesy to your fellow exhibitors, please report all Tack Changes/Gate Holds to the Office in advance of your class. Every effort will be made to allow you the time you need. Once the class is given the final call the gate will be closed in two (2) minutes and no late exhibitors will be allowed into the ring. 5 Bluestem Miniature Horse Club Youth Exhibitor Show Scholarship Application The Bluestem Miniature Horse Club (Club) will sponsor a Youth Exhibitor Show Scholarship (Scholarship) at Club shows. The Scholarship will be offered in two separate age divisions, Age 12 and Younger and Age 13 to 17. The number of Scholarships offered will be determined by the Club. Each applicant is eligible to receive $5.00 towards their show expenses for successful completion of the application and 2 hours of volunteer activity. Youth Exhibitor Show Scholarship: The Club will award $50.00 to reimburse the Youth Exhibitor for show expenses paid at a Club show. Selection Criteria: The selection criteria for the Scholarship is based on the quality of the completed application and completion of 2 hours of volunteer activity by the applicant and is at the sole discretion of the Selection Committee. Additional Requirements of Applicant: Applicant is required to complete Two hours of volunteer activity. Activity must be Show related, i.e. Ribbon Person, Show Helper, etc.. Volunteer activity must be approved by the Show Manager or his/her designee. See the Show Manager upon arrival at show to schedule your volunteer activity. Selection Committee: Shall be made up of Club members appointed by the Officers, it may contain Officers, Board of Members or Members and others as determined from time-to-time by the Club.
